Redeeming online deals are always a tricky business because you never know if you'll receive the same service and reception as a full-paying customer or a regular. But here, it was a breeze. When I called over the phone, the receptionist readily accepted my redemption and scheduled me for an appointment in the not-too-distant future. De Beauté salon is easily one of the largest salons I've visited, taking up an entire multi-story building. Parking is easy with an adjoining lot and the first floor essentially functions as a receiving lobby. Here, receptionists will check you in, tell you which floor you're heading toward, and hand you a slip of paper that details the service you're receiving (to give to your service provider). I was paired with Antoine for the Brazilian blowout, and I wish I'd taken before/after pictures because wow, what a change. I'd arrived with frizzy hair that was approximating a Brillo-pad texture and frizz (thanks to a bleach job I'd recently gotten done), but after a short hour and a half in the chair, my tresses had been tamed to a silky smoothness that I hadn't felt on my head for some time. I've since washed my hair a few times, and I'm happy to report that this keratin treatment has staying power. For those sensitive to strong chemicals, note that the formula they use contains formaldehyde. I appreciated that they set up the chair by two strong fans and an open door, but my eyes still watered a bit here and there.

I have been going to Korean spas for over 10 years for this treatment. It normally leaves your skin supper soft. The scrub can be from 30-50 minutes and then a hydrating massage for 30 minutes to 45 after. This was my first time doing it at this spa. I called and they said that the scrub is 45 minutes and the massage is the same. For $20 more you can extend the massage for an addition 30 minutes. They also mentioned they have a sauna which is free. I asked for the 2 hour Urban Vacation. It is little over two hours before closing so they did not want to accommodate so I chose the 90 minute Eastern Indulgence (Korean Body Scrub). They asked from payment first, so I paid $130, then they took me to a room and gave me a towel. About 7 minutes later she comes back and took me to the wet room. No robe, no slippers which was odd. We entered the room and it was freezing. I told her it was cold; she ended the scrub after 10 minutes and put me in a cold sauna room. After about 4 minutes it got warm. In about 3 minutes we head to the massage room. The room was nice and warm, but the massage was terrible. I asked for a stronger massage, but it did not get stronger. It was not good. While in the room she complained that business is slow, and she comes from palisade park to work there. After 70-75 minutes in total, she said all done. I told her that she cut it short, she stated that I came in 90 minutes ago. She left and came back with water. She seemed nice and I gave her $50 tip on a $130 massage. She asked for more and told me that $50 is not enough for 90 minutes. I was shocked. I told her the scrub was shortened, the time was shortened as it included the time to pay, her to set up and the sauna. She got nasty and I left. In summary, the cozy Spa offers clean environment. However, the inconsistency in the service from the industry standards and their menu along with lack of gratitude was disappointing to say the least. I would suggest staying clear of this spa. This is not a good business to support.

Criminals. Buyer beware…read more Showed up for my 10am session a bit late, filled out my paperwork asap. This was my birthday treat to myself. Session didn't start until 10:20. At 10:45 the masseuse informs me we have 10 min left in my 60 min massage. I sat up and asked what on earth? She said I was docked because I was late - no one said a word. I spent 5 more minutes of my session negotiating with this woman and finally had enough. I said the session was done and left. Front desk kept arguing I was late and therefore didn't get the full time, not one mention at the outset or during the session. What you are doing is criminal and a scam. Shame on you.

I got a facial earlier this summer and it was really good! I can't remember the women name who…read moredid my facial but it was very relaxing and she was very knowledgeable about skin. To be honest I do already have good skin and maintain it very well so I did not see a huge difference after I left. Keep in mind if you cancel 5 hours prior to your appointment they charge your card. The consultation they do prior is very good and in depth so your service can really target your needs. Being in the waiting room during the consultation was relaxing itself because they have wonderful aroma therapy going. I'm giving this review 3 stars because since the time I came in June I have needed a facial but not interested in going back. Unfortunately they do push expensive products and packages. The first visit is a decent price. Mine was around $70. If I wanted to visit again the girl working at the front desk said it would be a $100 every time. She then tried to push the package and said I could pay $70 a month to come in for a facial or massage 1-2 times a month. For me 70 is pricy once a month especially since I probably wouldn't even go that often . I do believe in giving your skin the best but considering that you can buy products at the center or even at Sephora for the price of the package and use it everyday to maintain your skin, you don't really need an expensive facial so often in my opinion. Overall it's a good experience for a facial but I do think you can find the the same service for cheaper. The employees are very nice and helpful. It's a clean and organized center. Not a fan of the 5 hour canceling policy.

My appointment was with Juliet and I thought she did a great job. She explained everything she was doing and the whole experience was perfect. I really loved my facial and my face felt great. Both my sister in laws loved there facials as well. We all agreed it was a very nice experience. My only complaint is the place could be updated. It's stuck in the 80s. I think it could be easily refurbished and made to look more comfortable. Other than that I would go back for another trearment,

Yes they are a bit high in price but you cannot beat the services and amenities they provide. I always enjoy their steam room before my services as it is one of the best in the area and does wonders for your skin. I was just in for a deep tissue massage and I was so happy by the time I left. My body felt rejuvenated and beat up in the best way. My masseuse Donna did an amazing job on getting my back knots and shoulder problem areas which most people really struggle to get out. I feel fantastic and relaxed. After my massage she brought me upstairs to the tranquility room where there is an array of healthy snacks to enjoy and plenty of beverages to make. I enjoyed the tea and water and relaxed a bit before heading down to the showers to rinse off my oil and go home. Always a pleasant experience and any time I've been here and had a complaint or issue I brought it directly to the front desk and it was immediately take care of.

I would advise anyone NOT to go to this place!! I'm from Maryland and have been to immensely better…read moreBSS in Baltimore County!! I came here on my lunch break because I work long hours and most BSS are closed by the time I get off work. This was the closest to my office. Anyway, as for the products, I came here looking for a specific type of synthetic braiding hair for box braids I plan to get this weekend. They did have the brand but not in the colors I needed. It was very difficult to tell what they had because everything is mixed around and out of place and the employees do not try to fix it. One employee actually said to me, "Yeah, it's all mixed around so it's hard to find anything." As for the customer service... this is the main reason I gave this place ONE STAR! I do not expect customer service to be perfect because I know that is not realistic in most businesses, sadly. But this was just awful. Here are some examples listed in the order of when I walked in to when I left: 1. As I walked in a man approached one of the workers and asked the worker how much a certain hat was. The employee responded by saying, "Oh I don't work here but that guy does," and pointed to the man behind the counter; who was servicing a very long line at the time. I then watched the employee who claimed he didn't work there pull out a key and open a jewelry display for another customer. Very odd... 2. I was searching for the hair I needed in the disorganized cluster of mixed brands/ colors while a woman who worked there was standing a few feet from me. I did not realize she was standing there or else I would've asked for her help. (I'm not one of those annoying people who stands there waiting to be asked if I need anything). It is her job to notice customers, even before they notice her but whatever. It wasn't that big of a deal. She's actually the reason I'm giving this place one star because once I did get her attention she was very helpful. 3. THE WORST PART about this whole experience was the check out process. It took me so long to find what I needed, that by the time I was about to check out I had 15 minutes until my lunch break was over. There was a woman in front of me who couldn't decide if she wanted a certain product and was taking awhile. There were two registers so when another employee came up I assumed it was to help me. But he just started bothering the girl behind the counter. I asked him if he could please ring me up because I had to get back to work. He pointed at the girl behind the counter and said she will. I then said please I have to get to work (the woman in front of me still hadn't decided if she wanted the product and the line was now a few people long.) He just laughed and looked at the employee ringing up the indecisive customer and said he didn't feel like ringing anyone up. I then said pleaseeee sir I really need to get back to work (I now only had 10 minutes left.) The female employee told him he had to ring me up and to just do it. I've never been to ANY business where an employee was so lazy that he couldn't ring someone up while standing right behind the register!!! I actually had to beg him!
