Discovered this gem while searching for nearby places that have eyelash tinting. I had seen a…read moreblogger I follow have it done, and thought it was a great alternative to getting false lashes as I didn't want to ruin my natural lashes. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon The Glam Bar. It is located within Luxe Salon and Spa. The building is easy to find and they have their own parking lot. I called to make an appointment for the eyelash tinting, which was super easy. But keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the reception desk and introduced to the Master Esthetician, Enza, who would be assisting me. Enza made me feel at ease right away, with her friendly demeanor and answering all of my questions. To my good fortune, they also offer brow tinting, (something else I've been wanting to try) and both services go hand in hand quite well. Enza showed me to a private room where I laid face up on a table. She then applied hydrating under eye patches. These served a dual purpose, to teat my under eyes and to protect my skin of the tint application. The tint application was easy as you just close your eyes (and keep them closed) while she paints it onto your lashes. Keeping your eyes closed and letting the tint sit, she then applies a tint to match your hair to your bows. You may feel a slight stinging sensation on your eyelids, but nothing unbearable. Enza then carefully cleansed my brows and eye lashes. I had planned on running errands right after, but nixed that idea because just like hair dye, some of the tint remains on your skin till your next face wash. I did try using some micellar cleansing water on a q-tip which helped a little. It's been a few days now, and I am very happy with the results! Getting both the eyelash and brow tinting done together also saved me a few bucks! ($30 each separately, $55 together) I am looking forward to returning to try their other services such as the hydra facial with celluma therapy at their Medi Skin Spa!

Just read the review from June 9th--it describes the same behavior I experienced. I paid $10 extra for a cat-eye design, and the photo clearly shows that it does not look like a cat eye. When I went back and politely explained that this wasn't what I had asked for, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, he became defensive and told me I would have to pay even more for a polish change. What is most disappointing is that he continues to respond to customers by arguing and making excuses instead of taking responsibility when the salon fails to provide the service that was requested. A professional response would have been a simple apology, a refund of the $10 charged for the cat-eye design, and an offer to correct the mistake without charging me again. Good customer service means listening to your customers, acknowledging when something wasn't done correctly, and making it right. Instead, I was met with a defensive, rude attitude and told to pay more to fix the salon's mistake. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

De Beauté salon is easily one of the largest salons I've visited, taking up an entire multi-story building. Parking is easy with an adjoining lot and the first floor essentially functions as a receiving lobby. Here, receptionists will check you in, tell you which floor you're heading toward, and hand you a slip of paper that details the service you're receiving (to give to your service provider). I was paired with Antoine for the Brazilian blowout, and I wish I'd taken before/after pictures because wow, what a change. I'd arrived with frizzy hair that was approximating a Brillo-pad texture and frizz (thanks to a bleach job I'd recently gotten done), but after a short hour and a half in the chair, my tresses had been tamed to a silky smoothness that I hadn't felt on my head for some time. I've since washed my hair a few times, and I'm happy to report that this keratin treatment has staying power. For those sensitive to strong chemicals, note that the formula they use contains formaldehyde.
