My daughter asked: why are you naming some of my teeth numbers and others letters? Dr. Shapiro kindly answerd "Letters are the baby teeth you still have and numbers are your grown up teeth" Even when we had differing opinions on care planning for my daughter's teeth she was respectful and understanding of my views. They also included my daughter in the care and planning of her dental care by offering choices of toothpastes like Bugglegum, Apple, Orange, and grape. They have a ceiling television with programs catered to children. The office is super clean and absolutely adorable. My daughter loved the practice.

When we called to schedule a cleaning after our child reported tooth pain, we were told the next available appointment was more than three months out and that we could only be placed on a waitlist. We ended up finding another dental provider who was able to see us the same week and discovered a cavity. We have also had billing issues here in the past. Given the scheduling problems and previous concerns, we will not be returning.

Well today I get a call from an unknown number, I answered it and it was the dental office (weird they're calling me off an unknown number instead of their office but whatever)...she was calling about an upcoming appointment for my son but I let her know I was gna cancel it cuz they no longer take our insurance and that I now go to a different office. So after canceling the appointment she asked about the remaining balance and I let her know I was told I was getting a bill and I never received it...she then told me that she sent it herself so again I told her I didn't receive it and to send it again. She asked if I can pay over the phone and I let her know that I wasn't comfortable doing that (with all the card theft) and I can do it with the paper bill. She ended up getting a huge attitude about that and told me it was my fault that I didn't bother to check if my dental insurance was still in network with them and I told her that it was also their responsibility as well to let me know if they weren't taking it anymore and she laughed at me and hung up...so I got angry and looked up their dental office number so I called and she answered so I asked if this was the same lady that I just spoke to and she said yes and laughed and hung up again....so I called 11 more times (they didn't answer either calls)...12th call she finally answers and I'm asking her name so I can report her for how unprofessional she was...she said her name was kaci (with a k she said) and then proceeded to call me trash and making fun of me for not having a job lol ( i then told her that i don't have to work) and she kept calling me trash and was telling me she gets off at 5 so i can meet her out the office. Once again not 5 minutes go past and Dr. Levine entered. He explained everything to me, answered my questions and showed me videos of post tongue tie release. He then examined my son, which he had a severe tongue tie. He asked if I wanted to get the procedure done today which was very nonchalant and no pressure. By the time I was done paying the procedure was done. Dr.Levine then showed me in person and I recorded the exercises again. My insurance is not accepted but they submitted a claim for me!
