They do good work and the dentist really did great job with some bonding in my tooth that came off. He actually did something different than previous dentist to secure it better so that was impressive. The only issue I had was I came to see him and get it fixed as "emergency" visit and it ended up being a consult to sell me veneers which I didn't like. But I told him I was going to go with bonding and he said ok then I had to schedule an appointment to get it fixed a week out. I got on liar for cancellations and it was fixed the next day so not to bad. Thought that was odd practice to send away people with dental emergency my tooth could have cracked off and I was afraid to eat on it. Anyway it worked out it's good now if he had fixed it same day without another visit I would have given 5 stars. read more

I don't generally leave reviews, but Dr. Drachenburg and his staff are certainly the best! It always bothers me when dentists try to oversell you on a product or are very high pressure on cosmetic procedures. Dr. Drachenburg is not like that at all! He is very honest and accommodating, always seeking to meet the needs of the patients without over selling them. He is very conscious about the fact that people are generally scared of the dentist, and he will repeatedly check and ensure that you are comfortable and not in pain if you are undergoing a procedure. Considering that I am very picky and have had very bad experiences in the past, I cannot say enough good about Dr. Drachenburg and his staff. They are highly recommended! They need to get a better Manager. My recent conversation with "the manager" was very bad. She tried telling me I owed money and if she would have been there the day I had my permanent partial in, it would not have been done without me paying almost $700. I initially told her I would check with my insurance and she went off saying she has several notes of me saying that. I informed her I only told her that one other time besides this time. I knew it just didn't sound right. I told her they may have submitted the incorrect code. She instantly got upset and told me they didn't do that, they submitted what they did. She said "I'm the manager". I personally don't care what she is. After talking with the insurance, I was correct. They submitted incorrect code initially which caused all the mess with the 3rd time submitting claim was denied. I think a manager should be more pleasant with customers. Because the codes were incorrect at the beginning, insurance has asked for a refund. Until that refund is received and the correct information faxed to insurance the account will have a balance due because of "the managers" error. Dentist and assistant are awesome!! Too bad front office isn't. Maybe some customer service training would help them. read more

I have been here twice and can honestly say this dentist (Dr. Drachenberg) doesn't try to oversell or lie about Un-necessary needed dental cleanings or procedures. In fact he told me after taking an X-ray (at no charge) and adjusting my bite to help me chew better (at no charge) that I needed an oral surgeon to fix the problem and he was extremely nice and gentle! I was surprised about the low raiting on the place. Then, I saw that people were complaining about the standard presidures of the dental routine appointments. Yes, I don't like them too, but that is how the process goes. I have being to many dental offices/dentists. Over the years, I have probabltly spend about $20,000 on my teeth. I may note that my teeth are healthy; most work was cosmetic. Yes, what I did at The Smile Studio was fixing another detist's mistake; actually two of them. The cost was a bit more than my budget allowed. Yet, I knew that it is very close to what it costs everywhere. The staff is great, friendly, direct and attentive. The dental assistant asked me if I want white or silver filling. I was thrilled!!! Once, at the different dentist, I was left with silver filling. Just think about the shock when I looked at myself in the mirrow and saw a silver filling, affer I spend about $20,000 on top quality dental cosmetic work!!! At The Smile Studio, they match the white color of the filling identicaly to the rest of my teeth!! Now, let's talk about the dentist! I was in best hands ever. He was very gentle. I could barely feel him touching me. It was very relaxing. He took his time working on my tooth till it was perfected. Now, it looks like if no work was done there what so ever! I went to this dentist once and was highly pressured to get an expensive deep cleaning. I explained that I am paying cash and just want my teeth cleaned. I have no cavities or other mouth problems. The rude hygienist finally relented amd cleaned my teeth. Fast forward 5 months, I went back (it's really convenient in proximity to my house) to get a cleaning and polish before the holidays. There was a new male hygienist which I was happy to see a new face. He was worse than the 1st!! He gave me the deep cleaning sales pitch and again I explained that I have no insurance. I just want my teeth cleaned. He told me that cleaning my teeth only was a waste of my $$ as it doesn't really do anything so "do the deep cleaning or nothing". I said, "I came here for a cleaning and you can't just do that"? He said nope, sorry. I left in tears. I hate this place and will never return. read more

I've never called with a dental problem, but when I did the lady on the phone told me that the Doctor would call in a prescription and couldn't see me for 23 business days. Been a patient of Dr Drachenberg since he opened his private office in the early 1980s. Although serving in the US Marine Corps took me out of state for several years one of the few reasons I couldn't wait to return to SW Fl was to have best dentist (or doctor) I've ever experienced back. He TRULY cares about his patients, VERY careful not to cause pain or discomfort, VERY friendly, professional and NEVER tries to talk the patient into unnecessary procedures. I would recommend Dr Drachenberg to everyone I know, if he seen children I would have my grandkids there. I went for an appointment in September 2020 and no one in the office from the front desk to the dentist himself was wearing a mask. I had to ask everyone I interacted with to pull it up over their chin when they came into my room. They called me to remind me that I was due for my 6 month cleaning and I asked if their policy had changed regarding mask wearing. I was told not much had changed and that they aren't real big on enforcing mask wearing. I can't think of a more dangerous place to have a respiratory virus being aerosoled than in a dentist's office, especially when patients have to remove their masks for procedures. No thanks.... I'll take my business to a healthcare provider who has a basic understanding of disease transmission. I hope they follow scientific recommendations when it comes to sterilizing the equipment they put in patient's mouths... read more

The worst place I've ever been, had awful absessed tooth,down to the nerve, no hi how are you, it was the only thing your getting is Motrin! Didn't ask for anything! Treated me like a dog, didn't care about me, the DR said he's a whimp, and won't work on me while I'm hurting so I'd have to wait on antibiotics to work before pulling the tooth. He was worried about himself, not me! Need alot of work on my teeth, lots of pain, so I'm going somewhere that will give me two days of painkillers while meds kick in! I absolutely trust Dr. Drachenberg. He has had to do some crowns and other work on me. His work is amazing and he is very honest. I highly recommend him! I have been to three other dentists in Fort Myers and I am very picky about my dentist. I could not be happier with everything at his office and I even travel further to go to him. I did my research and received quotes from 6 different practices, one of which was ASPEN. Dr. Drachenburg gave me the best quote, has fit me into his schedule in a timely manner, and explained the process to each procedure in an way that was easy to understand, which i greatly appreciate. I hold Dr. Drachenburg and his entire staff to a fairly high standard. A standard not met by many local practices, from my experience. Horrible staff, and the dentist has no control over his practice! Sold to the Corp world and now it's nothing but issues! All the treatment I have had done here needs redone. I have more tooth loss than necessary due to his lack of expertise and technology. He needs an upgrade, update and new staff! When I went to Smile Studio most of the Staff was Horrible, I paid my Bill in full, Then a YEAR later, they billed for a Reline of Dentures that Dr. Drachenberg ground down to much, and said since it was his fault there would be no charge, also, he made the Dentures to large for my mouth, I could very close my lips, a horrible and costly experience.... Had an apt last year, the dentist wanted to do additional tests and X-rays and for me to make more appointments to come back, I thought it was unnecessary so I went to another dentist and he confirmed the tests and X-rays this guy wanted were unnecessary. Saved me a couple hundred dollars. Now a year later I a still receiving weekly emails, texts and phone calls to schedule an appointment. I've called them already and asked them to take me off their lists but clearly they haven't. So annoying. read more

I went to The Smile Studio 3 years ago to have two bridges made which were in the front and each consisted of 3 teeth. The Studio was very well decorated and the staff were friendly. However, 6 months after I had my bridges placed one of them cracked in the back. I had moved from Florida to Texas during this time due to a job transfer. When I called the dentist to see what could be done since the bridges were guaranteed for 1 year they said I would have to come back in their office to repair or replace. I had to pay for a round-trip ticket to Florida from Texas to get a temporary bridge put on to replace the other bridge and then I had to pay another flight to go back and have the permanent bridge put on. The dentist did not compensate me at all. Exactly 1 year later, my bridge on the other side cracked in the back. This time the bridge was not under warranty and I had to go to a dentist in Texas to have replaced. The dentist I went to in Texas told me that the bridge was weak and this is what caused it to crack. The bridges I had before this dentist replaced them, I had for over 20 years and never had any problems. I would not recommend going to this dentist since there seems to be an issue with their lab or something that would cause my both of my bridges to be damaged and have to be replaced in a very short period of time. Between having these bridges and the one I had to pay extra for in Texas, the flights back and forth, I now have over 10,000.00 invested in bridges and I am still paying for these today. I would not recommend this dentist. Be certain to read the reviews before going to a dentist as well since I did not and now I am paying the price. read more
