They have a great deal during their happy hour 2 to 4 PM you get half off appetizers and alcohol. Really enjoyed the peach ring drink with peach crown. This is a great location with lots of parking right next to the KOA campsite right off of I 64. There are cabins and tent sites and RV sites. There's a saloon feel to this restaurant, including swinging doors. The food is pretty good and very reasonably priced. I had the shrimp tacos, which were good, but I did not love that the shrimp was fried, but I didn't ask. The servers were young and friendly. There is a large playground outside for inquiring parents. There's also a fabulous indoor shooting range next-door. You can get hot chocolate, ice cream, and Boba teas at the Campground store. read more

I made the mistake of going to a steakhouse/barbecue place and ordering the crab legs. They were lousy ... my meal was so expensive and I won't make that mistake again. Their steaks are amazing but the crab legs have a lot of room for improvement. They were small, tasted old, served them with butter flavored oil. Drove through town and heard some locals tell me this place was nice. Def felt disappointed with the food. I was told this place got good bbq, checked out the menu, no baby back ribs, and the sides also didn't have greens, so that was an added let down. I opted for the smoke brisket special, the food took a while to come out and it wasnt even hot, i would say its maybe a touch under warm. This smoke brisket was missing its smoke brisket ring, if anyone is in to that. The baked beans also was not hot, and felt like it was missing something, it was almost as if it was just from a can. Overall the food felt lacking, but the restaurant was situated in a cool looking western town setting. So I guess that was cool. read more

Seating: I say at the bar. Only one open table in the restaurant. A busy night. Food: I had the smoked wings which were excellent. The blue cheese dressing looked homemade and was lacking in rich creamy flavor. The fries were the battered type. I generally write off any restaurant that can't do fries right. Service: Started slow, but finished good. The young lady behind the bar seemed to be the boss. She was really young, but was problem solving for the servers like a veteran pro. Ambiance: Westen and very nice. Would I come again, probably, though the fries are a huge detractor from everything else. The food critic in me has never heard anyone complain about traditional fries, but the number if people complaining about the battered fries are numerous. read more

We stopped in on a road trip to Louisville. We started with pulled pork pork rinds. The pork rind nachos is a cool concept, but the rinds get soggy before you can eat them. The mushiness wasn't too appealing. This would better with the rinds on the side for dipping. For lunch I got the southern smoke burger and he got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Both came with fries and I added baked beans to mine. Everything was mediocre, nothing special. The pulled pork was dry and cold, I assume it wasn't fresh. The Nashville hot chicken wasn't a true Nashville hot chicken sandwich, it had a hot bbq sauce or something on it. The baked beans were definitely from a can. The service was good, food came out slow. The restaurant was really cute and clean and the bathrooms were also very clean. read more

To tell you the truth, I wasn't going to try to like this place. I'd been kicked out of my fair share of KOA campgrounds, so I came in with a grudge. The food was good pub fare. We ordered to go. The food was ready on time, and the bartender brought it right out. The place is all dressed out like an Old West saloon for some reason. I had the taco sampler, which was really good. Also had the fried cheese-- excellent. The menu is a little more appealing than just the regular tavern food around here. I can't say anymore about my experiences with KOA's people because I'm enjoined. Even though the place is decked out like the Old West, you can tell you're still in Illinois, so that's nice! read more

So reason for wondering about the place, but it's crowded with local non-campers, "voting with their feet" coming here. We were on our way West toward the Mississippi River and beyond and stopped for lunch. So I decided on the "Taco Flight" after considering everything on the menu. One fish, one shrimp and one BBQ taco. Very large portions. Fish and shrimp are fried. All just fine, but not "write home" type food. Maybe adjusting to Northern food but not greatly inspired. A young man with our group didn't even eat his fried chicken sandwich. Also not enough server staff, the people who waited on us were good but over stretched. read more

They also have excellent sandwich options along with some out of this world appetizers, including Trash Can Nachos. Grayville is very fortunate to have this quality of a restaurant for sure. This place deserves more recognition. It was the best restaurant we have come across on our cross country road trip. There's not any signs advertising it so it's a little hard to find but it is located inside the Koa campgrounds in a cute western themed building. The customer service is amazing and the food was even better. It was probably the best fried chicken I ever had. The food portions are also large and plentiful. I highly recommend eating here if you are in the area or even making the drive to try this spot out. read more
