Grayville, IL. ~. Definitely a festive vibe !! We are camping next door and not much is open on Monday. Sooooo, we went in for a beer and ended up with a lite lunch. We just missed the lunch crowd and sat at the bar. Ordered our beers, and they brought chips & salsa right away. Really good chips. I am sure they were not homemade but they were fresh & warm. ( I find, most of the time, chips are stale). We then ordered the Shrimp tacos which were full of flavor. Very tasty. We don't live in the area.... but, definitely worth the stop. It's right next to a Road Ranger fuel/Truck stop. Easy peazy. read more

Ended up at the Super 8 and this place is pretty much in the same lot. The staff is super friendly. They have a bar and TVs. I had a beer one night. The next day, I ordered some "grilled chicken street tacos". They were delicious! The salsa and chips were good, but basic. I would go back. There's not much else around, so this is probably a good stop unless you want Subway. read more

My sister and I stopped here again on our way back from our trip. This time I had chicken on the beach (grilled, seasoned chicken pieces over perfectly cooked rice with light queso sauce poured over), she had the mole poblano. Guacamole is fresh, chips and salsa yummy. Delicious food!! Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is clean with colorful decorative tables and chairs and walls decked out with decorations also. Highly recommended!! read more

There over all a good place to eat. I was staying at the super 8 it is next too. I sat at the bar. Had the enchiladas and the sauce was great. Beer was served in a frosted glass and I was given chips and salsa right away after sitting down. Service check on my often enough. No real complaints. Three stars due to dirty atmosphere. My family and I stayed at the super 8 next to this restaurant and was too tired to drive any further for dinner. Dined in at 5pm on a Saturday and they were slow. Worker tried seating us at a table that was visibly dirty from a guess sitting there prior and wasn't wiped down. Service wasn't good either. This restaurant is not well kept. Food is good but I believe cleanliness is a must when running a joint that involves food. read more

We order take out often and it's been TERRIBLE! Food is cold, burnt, or an off taste the last few times. Tonight, I wait 15 mins past expected time given for food... then when I get it... it's ALL wrong! The order was forgotten, was written down right, but keyed in wrong... I can't wait another 20+ mins for food so I simply ask for my money back, which is not even given back on the correct form of payment but long story short don't have employees out on the floor that aren't TRAINED RIGHT... cocky, disrespectful, and rude & on top of that act like it's an inconvenience for you! This place is good! Staying next door at Super 8 and it was supper time. I'm not real big on Mexican restaurants so I'm always skeptical. But I have to say after I indulged in the menu I found something I thought I would like. Called Paella. Rice bed topped with chucked beef and shrimp covered in cheese dip. I had a strawberry margarita while I waited. That baby was good. I limited myself to 1 because it was pretty large. I also ordered Cancun shrimp. Bed of rice with grilled zucchini for my mom. I would just like to start by saying I didn't even get a chance to try the food at this establishment due to the rudeness of one of the employees. I called to place a To-Go order and "Jessica" answered the phone. In between me asking how much extra it would be to add on to my order she blurted out "Do you want the food or nah?" Not a good start to treat a new customer. When I was finished with telling her the first item I wanted, I was about to add on another item when she completely dismissed me to hang up. I asked her to please wait I wanted to order another item. I heard her in the background passing the phone off to somebody else. We were staying in New Harmony and no restaurants were open there. We drove over the state line to get some food. We weren't expecting anything special, but this place was great! We got the enchilada michocanas and another enchilada with steak on it. Nice surprise! read more
