I went to this place since I was craving a protein smoothie and an acai bowl. Walked in 2 ladies sitting and god greeted ok. The place was clean, but they have WAY TOO MANY items and just looks like its run down. Since it was my first time, I let her "choose" the stuff, and the popular ones. The regular Acai bowl and a protein smoothie. I think the acai bowl size was good, but had absolutely NO tast...NONE...just tasted like MUD. I recommend this place. The smoothie I got has actual pineapple, actual watermelon, mint, and pineapple sherbet. There is no added sugar and the liquid is just the liquid from the watermelon, so it's pretty healthy but it tastes great and refreshing. The mint is a nice touch. I also like that they offer a variety of things like snow cones and chips. Support small business and try it out. Eventually, I think this shop could benefit from a beautification of the inside. They just sort of need a designer and set theme for the inside of the restaurant (to add to the feng shui) and make it more hip. Maybe add a little spot kids can take photos at. read more

Great place to get a smoothie on a very hot day. They have a very small parking lot, but it was easy to find a spot. They have a nicely decorated interior. Have been coming here for years. They have delicious smoothie bowls, smoothies and freshly pressed juices. Their "Flu Terminator" is my go-to immune pick me up when I'm under the weather. Even my kids ask for a flu terminator when they're sick! Family favorites are the Banana Blast, Strawberry Banana Smoothie with boba, The Happy Green and Acai bowls. This is a small local business- when we walked in staff were friendly and gave us a few minutes to browse. Decided to get a green smoothie and a berry smoothie, the green smoothie was delicious! The berry smoothie definitely lacked flavor. We also got the matcha bowl and it didn't really taste like matcha it was also watered down, it was definitely missing flavor. The staff seemed very distracted, I had asked for no coconut shavings due to my allergy and I had to tell them again and they then just removed the shavings on the already made bowl. Also new customers came in and the staff were just on their phones and didn't greet or attempt to help until they noticed people standing there for a few minutes waiting to order. Sadly this was one of the most mediocre acai bowls I've ever had. Considering how much it's priced at I almost felt ripped off when I began to ate it, I got the peanut butter bowl and was very disappointed. While the place was cute inside, the service was not very good. When we got there the person taking our order was on her phone and took longer than either of us expected to take our order. Normally smoothies taste weird with whey but for some reason the way they make it here, I'm not able to taste any chalky taste. Finally stopped here to check this place out. They opened in November buying the place out after the owners of Juice It Up weren't able to make their new project work out. I first walked in and noticed it's a small, but very relaxing setting. I could see myself hangout out here for a little bit. The owners are very nice and I found were lots of help. The menu has a a great range of choices so they are more than willing to be patient as you decide or give any suggestions. I ended up going with a 'Cool Lime' that consisted of pineapple, peaches, and Lime sorbet. It was very refreshing and good flavors. I felt it would be better if they used less ice perhaps. Wasn't as smooth as other smoothie shops, getting close on the 'icy' side. Either way I do recommend coming by to check them out. They have lots of boardgames, a large chalkboard on the wall, and Nintendo Wii for guests and kids to play with! I'd like to come back and try more flavors or some of their juices. Yelp deals seem to be more of a miss than hit these days... I got the $5 for $10 Yelp deal and stopped by here after running some errands. Store front and inside are unimpressive, slightly old and rundown looking. What I ordered: (1) Mighty Muscle Smoothie (Small for $4.75): 2/5 stars Contains banana, peanut butter, soymilk, vanilla frozen yogurt & protein powder(65 cents extra). I opted out of the protein powder; didn't think it was worth the additional 65 cents as the small size is already $4.75. The taste is below average. The peanut butter flavor is overwhelming and suppresses most of the other ingredients. Kind of too thick and too sweet for my taste too... (2) Super Berry Fresh Juice ($6.75 for 16 oz): 2/5 stars Contains blueberries, grapes & apples. Talk about being overpriced! I don't remember the last time I paid a whopping $6.75 for a 16 oz juice... (neither cold-pressed or organic, FYI). The taste is definitely lacking, pretty watery and flavorless. Not the best combination of fruits I guess? Overall, not worth coming back for. Both the smoothie & fresh juice were lacking in flavor. I'm OK with paying more for high quality juices, but only if it tastes great. I think Orchard Flats Cold Pressed Juicery is definitely the smarter choice if you're looking for a healthy drink that tastes delicious too! read more

It's a nice simple smoothie shop that I come to often after my daughters activity. The lady who I believe is the owner has never been friendly she's never smiled or been very welcoming which didn't bother me much. The only thing that did bother me was that when we would walk in she wouldn't greet us. She just stood there with a blank face and we had to approach her when we were ready. I just realized that was her personality. However the last few visits she has been extremely rude and has made me stop coming here. The first time I asked for 3 açaí bowls and she only made me one. When I brought this to her attention she got upset and said "you only said 1" which got me upset because it was with attitude. I decided to give it another chance and was greeted with more attitude. This next interaction is about two weeks apart. Yesterday we went in to order 3 açaí bowls and asked to add a stuff. She seemed annoyed, and kept giving attitude. When we would repeat the order just to confirm and not make it complicated she would say "yes i know". It made us uncomfortable and it's not worth coming back with all of the other smoothie shops that are open. She should be glad we were giving her so much business but instead she was bothered by the big order we had. I understand not being overly enthusiastic and not smiling because it's just not your personality. But there's a difference in that and making someone uncomfortable and i welcomed. I'm surprised I haven't written a review about Smoothie Stop yet, because I really love this little hole in the wall. They have tons of freshly squeezed juices and yummy smoothies to choose from, and you can even build your own! My favorites include Banana Blast, P* Star, and Mango Slushy. Lately I've been adding spinach to my smoothies and they never charge me extra! Not to mention they also have fresh wheatgrass shots for a reasonable price! They're super friendly here and have a cute, cozy set up with Wii and lots of board games if you're here with friends. Next time I'll have to see how their boba is!! read more

Finally stopped by here to check the place out. I graduated school and moved away from here and ever since, my friends have been recommending this little joint They have some funny sounding juices and smoothies, but they're all pretty good especially if you're a health-nut! Small place that's great to bring your kids since htye have tons of card and board games available as well as a chalk wall to draw all over. The guy who owns it is a sweet little guy who happily welcomes all of his customers. So far P-star and the Mango (slush?) are my top two favorites It's also in a great location by SFHS and Flintridge Prep, allowing local high schools to stop by and hang out there. Most smoothie joints int he area don't make it but this place has been here for a while and I hope its here to stay!! I only wish they had more snacks and food to offer to go along with their smoothies. Reviews are for the milk tea boba and Acai bowl: milk tea boba was quite watered down. There was way too much ice to drink ratio and the boba itself was soggy and way too chewy, overcooked and left to boil too long. I was more disappointed with the Acai bowl. The Acai bowl doesn't come in a bowl, but rather a larger, long cup if you order to go.. which is not the issue. The Acai itself comes from a frozen packet, which they blend along with some juices, and blend that up to make it into a base, then add some fruit on top. I'm not sure if the frozen packet part left me feeling a bit uneasy, but I wasn't too satisfied with the taste anyway. Both items came out a little less than $11 WITH the 10% Yelp check-in discount, way overpriced for the quality of the two items. I won't be coming back here. read more

They are often out of fresh juices, and will only have smoothies available. I was disappointed to see that the base of every smoothie is frozen yogurt which is basically ice cream. Not a health shop. The smoothies were way too sweet for our liking, and no wonder. They are hidden with all that refined sugar. She was hustling, but how much can one woman do? We got wheatgrass shots (served on stone platters with a slice of orange--nice touch) + I got a mango slushy, but they were out of pineapple sherbert so I got fro yo in it instead, which made it creamier/a little less tropical. I was thirsty, so I didn't care much. Boyfriend got a boba milk tea with almond milk, which I helped myself to as well. Good, fresh pearls.
