I stopped by Paris Baguette with a friend on a Sunday afternoon for a casual chat and a snack, and overall it was a good experience with a few notes worth mentioning. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a beautiful display of baked goods--both sweet and savory. Everything is housed in glass cases and presented really nicely. You grab a tray and your own tongs and walk around choosing your items, which makes the experience easy and enjoyable. Honestly, it's a one‑stop shop: breakfast items, birthday treats, pastries, tarts, and even impressive cakes you can order with help at the register. There is indoor seating, but it's quite limited. The chairs and benches are on the uncomfortable side, which makes me suspect the intention is to keep seating short‑term rather than for extended stays. It works for a quick bite but not for lingering too long. They also offer drinks--coffee, tea, milk, and milk substitutions. I highly recommend the mint lemonade and the oat milk chai latte; both were delicious. There's also a refrigerated grab‑and‑go section with salads and sandwiches, which is very convenient if you're in a hurry. One area where the experience fell short was cleanliness. We arrived around 4:00 PM and stayed until about 5:00 PM. During that time, the floor had not been swept and the tables weren't wiped down. Their croissants are wonderful and flaky. You can see it all over the floor. I noticed at least three employees working, and while I understand Sundays can be busy, there was some downtime where a quick clean‑up could have gone a long way. Parking is street parking, but the easiest option is actually behind the building. It's a short and easy walk. All in all, this is a solid alternative to the big chain coffee shops across the street. The quality and taste of their baked goods are delicious. With a bit more attention to seating comfort and cleanliness, it could be an even better experience.

Absolute five-star experience. The place is spotless and has an incredible vibe, and the staff is genuinely super nice. Grabbed a strawberry croissant and a strawberry mint lemonade, and that croissant was so good. The lemonade is also a must-try, super refreshing, and I will definitely be coming back.

Nice and clean place with a good selection of baked goods and drinks. Service was kind and attentive. Lots of parking in the back.

This is a great spot if you are an 85 degrees fan as it has a similar vibe in a great location. They have amazing pastries that range from delicious croissants to muffins. From a beverage standpoint they have a variety of choices from hot to cold that will satisfy your craving. Service is on point as they will help you from suggestions to trying something new.

The interior is beautiful, and there's plenty of seating. What I really liked was the great selection of savory pastries--not just sweet ones. I didn't order any drinks this time, so I'll definitely try one on my next visit.

The pastries, desserts, coffee and food items at Paris Baguette in Montrose are amazing. Excellent service, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Paris Baguette in Montrose just opened up and is a must try bakery. Love this place.

Busy day at the shop! Interior of store.

Paris Baguette has been one of my favorite bakery chains for a good while now, to see they've opened one nearby is exciting (and dangerous for my wallet)! The drinks and pastries are top notch, and cakes are a cannot miss. The interior was well kept and clean, and the service was quick and efficient even on a busy Sunday with the farmer's market. Everything was delicious, and I can't wait to come back many more times. Notes: - Parking is free behind the bakery - Free Wifi is a plus! - Don't forget your tray and tongs (on the left side of the shop) before picking your pastries up Here's what I got: Small hot chocolate ($3.49): Yummy and made with milk (whole, oat, and almond are available) Ham and cheese ($9.99): Balanced and light with just enough dijon mustard to give it a little edge. Chocolate chunk cookie: ($3.99): Came out fresh, it was chewy, gooey goodness!

Opening day! How exciting! We've been waiting for PB to open for AGES! Glad it's finally open and we can enjoy some coffee and pastries! On a general note, I'm a fan of the breads here and always love grabbing PB cakes for special occasions. This place has pretty standard and consistent pastries and cakes so you know what you're getting. Since it's opening day, there were some hiccups but I have to say overall, the space was clean, the staff was nice and earnest, and the tea and cake were good. Parking is easy since there's plenty of metered street parking and a ton of free parking in the lot behind the bakery. I def plan on coming back for baked goodies and coffee dates w my friends!

We hadn't been in a Paris Baguette in quite some time, so it was nice to come across this newer location. We were looking for a special treat for an elderly family member. The inside of the location is quite difficult to navigate when it is full, and it was very loud. The prices of some items were fair, but others were quite high for what they were (i.e., $6 for a croissant). It was rather disappointing to see that with so many offerings, there was not a single thing for someone with gluten sensitivity. We did find something to get for our family member, and took it to the front counter. The young lady assisting us was not at all welcoming. Once we stated that we only wanted the one thing, and yes, boxed to go, she was very dismissive. Side note - Not sure how they managed it because of the current fire codes, but the one door is not fire safe, as it opens in, not out.

We came in to see the newest place in Montrose! It is wonderful and colorful and bright and shiny! I was impressed with the number of choices of drinks and sandwiches and pastries. So many things and all made fresh each day. There are tables inside to eat at and be waited on OR you can picked out what you want and take it to go. Fresh and colorful food and lots of yummy sweet treats!

The pastries look good (don't know, I bought it for the office), but here's a pro tip - you should sell a coffee carrier in the morning, *with cups and creamer/sugar* - like your competitor across the street! C'mon people!

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

Thank you for your response. I appreciate that you took the time to reply, but I believe your…read moreresponse misses the main issue. Good business etiquette is simple: when a business makes a mistake, it should acknowledge it, correct it immediately, sincerely apologize to the customer, and ensure the customer leaves satisfied. That builds trust and demonstrates accountability. Instead, much of your response focuses on explaining that the price tag may have been moved accidentally by staff or customers. Those are explanations, not accountability. This was one of the last two pieces left in the display, and the incorrect price tag should have been noticed well before my purchase. As I also stated in my response to the Agricultural Commissioner of Weights & Measures Inspector, I am almost certain that after I shared my experience and reviews on social media, the pricing discrepancies would have been already corrected. If that is the case, I genuinely hope those changes help make sure future customers are charged accurately and fairly. Regarding the Kyiv cake, my concern is relatively minimal compared to the pricing issue. It simply did not taste as good as it used to. It lacked the freshness and flavor we had previously enjoyed, and it tasted somewhat stale. This is the least of my concern. What concerns me most is the lack of accountability. Businesses earn customer loyalty by owning their mistakes, not by offering explanations for why they may have happened. A sincere apology, immediate correction and a commitment to making things right would have been a much more appropriate response.

The black coffee was also a letdown. It was so bitter that I needed to add milk to make it drinkable, and I'm someone who normally enjoys black coffee. I mentioned it was my first time and ordered a cheese byorek, custard Napoleon and americano, but when she brought my food out on a plate there were a couple extra nazook pastries I didn't ask for. When I mentioned it she said "it's okay it's your first time". So kind of her! the pastries and coffee I paid for came to about $15, the pastries were pretty big so I felt like it was a good deal. The cheese byorek was so flaky and puffy with a really tasty cheese filling throughout. It was still crispy too! Although I liked the flavors of the napoleon, sadly it wasn't crispy at all and pretty soggy. I'm not sure how long this sat in the display but the texture was my only disappointment about it. Coffee was good, simple, and the barista was very nice too. As for the nazook - they were amazing! Me and my mom make nazook at home all the time, but with nuts and a few differences. This did not have any filling per se but it was so fluffy and chewy and crispy on the outside and all buttery goodness! I will definitely be back to Art's

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.

Recommended by Armenian friends to try out this international bakery and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!…read morePonchik was really delicious, I don't know how else to say it. Freshly prepared and warm upon reception, loved the custard filling in particular and I strongly recommend everyone to try this at least once. We also got their perashki and it came out fresh and hot too. Total wait time was around 5-12 minutes
