I woke up craving an açai bowl and somehow that craving led me straight to Ubatuba, bless the universe!!!! I went big with a large bowl loaded with blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, and mango, and I swear I got actual goosebumps watching them slice the strawberries fresh. That's how you know it's about to be good!!!!! Then I went full topping gremlin: shredded coconut, chopped almonds, goji berries, both granolas (because choosing is for the weak), almond butter, honey, and pumpkin seeds. Absolute perfection!!! Every bite was a moment!!!! Shoutout to Daisy, who absolutely understood the assignment and made my bowl with love!! There's no indoor seating, but they've got a few cute little tables outside... perfect for sitting there in silence, deeply in love with your açai!!! Ubatuba is hands down one of my favorite açai spots in the SGV because you control the base-to-topping ratio (as it should be), and their honey?? So good!!! Super floral, slightly magical, and honestly unforgettable. I'm obsessed!!!!

Tried Ubatuba Açaí in Pasadena and ordered two custom medium bowls. Let's just say... both disappeared quickly. The açaí base was smooth, thick, and actually flavorful (not icy or bland like some places). The toppings were fresh and generous every bite had a good balance of crunch, sweetness, and fruit. You could tell the ingredients weren't an afterthought. The shop was clean and welcoming, and the staff was friendly while we took our time building our bowls like it was a serious strategic decision.

This is one of my favorite acai bowl spots! There is currently a Doordash promotion - BOGO Create Your Own Bowl - $17.50! There are 3 size options - small, medium (+$3.75) and large (+$8.75) There is the option to select ratio base toppings on cup - 1/2 or 3/4 base or just base with no toppings. Loved that there are so many base options - pitaya, chia pudding, mango, overnight oats, matcha, agave coconut, and acai! Really enjoyed the variety of toppings! The Acai and matcha base was very delicious and not too sweet. The fruits - strawberry, blueberry, banana, and mango were all very sweet and fresh. The portion for toppings are very generous even though I got a small! Really enjoyed the presentation and how beautiful the Acai bowl was! Overall, this was 9/10 Definitely would recommend and return!

If you like more fruits than just bananas, strawberries, and blueberries then you'll like this place. If you prefer the bases to be actually good and are happy with just 3 fruits you'll like roots & rye a lot more. I unfortunately am the latter and the overnight oats, acai, and chai pudding all tasted odd here. I did like that they have dates, but even their dates were super chewy.

Ubatuba is my go to sweet treat place! You can get different sizes depending on how much you're craving. Kayla and the rest of the crew there are always so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely try out the Rose Bowl if you want a little tart treat.

Highly recommend this place! From the moment we walked in the owner was very helpful and let sample a few flavors. And the place itself is super cute filled with bright colors. Now for the bowl, super delicious and not too sweet like other açaí places I've tried.

The most delicious, unlimited topping açaí bowl !!!!!!! Ok, so the great thing is you can make create your own bowl with unlimited toppings! It's delicious. Refreshing treat especially when it's hot. The best customer service with Dillon & Casie. The owner is also super friendly! I wish there was a place to sit. I'm always having to take it home. I don't like sitting outside because it's too loud BUT luckily the bowls travel well. They also have empanadas too and smoothies and other things BUT my fav is the bowls! Ps. They have other locations so check out their site.

I am a regular in this place. My fav açaí place in Pasadena. Lots of toppings as well as fruits choices. I love it here because fruits are always fresh cut. They also serve the best empanadas with different flavor. The place is clean and very friendly atmosphere. Shout out to Dylan and Alexis. They are the best! Parking is very accessible at the back of the building. Must visit and try their mouth watering Açaí.

My friend recommended the açaí bowl here, so my husband and I decided to share a small one with a base of açaí and chia seed pudding. The açaí was a bit too frozen, more like an Icee texture, which wasn't my favorite. However, I did appreciate the option of peaches as a fruit topping, something I haven't seen offered at most other açaí spots. I always love adding peanut butter and almond butter, so those were a win, and the worker's suggestion to top it off with PB crumble was spot on, super tasty! Overall, it made for a refreshing and satisfying snack. They also have a designated parking lot in the back, just make sure to read the signs carefully.

My first time here - GREAT SPOT!!!! Storm in' Norman was great! Was originally going to get an Açaí Bowl, but after trying the Rose Bowl - it was over!!! You gotta try the ROSE BOWL! Thank you UBATUBA & STORMIN' NORMAN for the exceptional service!!! Happy FRIYAYYY all!!

Want super good açaí bowls? Great selection of toppings and base? Want friendly service from the staff? Want other cooked food with a separate menu? Want outdoor seats and shade? They got it all here!! First time here but the staff was patient and answered all my questions and indecisions lol Thank you and will come back if I'm stopping by the Pasadena area!

You guys... this was the best açaí I've EVER had, and I've had lots. Every base flavor was to die for, my only complaint is that it was sooo hard to choose what to get! I wanted it all! Also the employee comedian guy was SO friendly he made the whole experience so fun. He was educational about all the health benefits and took the time to help out my party individually. I'd be a regular if I was local!!

Visited July 17, 2026. After our Japanese Garden trip, my…read moredaughter and I stopped here for dinner. I feel horrible, because I chose this place and it turned out poorly. Initially I was going to give one star, or infinite negative stars if Yelp allowed, for my server's shady service. After speaking with the manager, Roxanne, on the phone, I decided to rate them 3 stars based on the food only, and just write about the experience. Upon entering, I asked the host if we could sit at one of two empty booths. She stated that they were only for parties of five, then walked us to a hidden inside room by the restroom. The vibe just felt off, but I did not let my daughter know what my gut was telling me. The room had only two parties in it. We sat a while before our server came. I will call him E. for now, as Roxanne will speak with him. He asked, "Are you good with water for now?" He did not ask if we were ready, if we wanted drinks, or if it was our first time. A couple came in after us. He was attentive with them, and they got bread ahead of us. Every table had bread except for ours. Then I saw E. filling water at every table except ours, and my daughter's cup was half full. My daughter sarcastically said, "Is it because we look poor?" I know there is always some truth to every joke. I said, "I guess." Then she continued, "Uhm, at least you had a nice blouse on, and jeans. I am wearing a tank top." I laughed, but quietly I was very upset. I held my composure because I did not want to ruin her dinner. But she should not have felt that way. That was not okay at all. I checked their dress policy beforehand. It is casual. My daughter wore a pinstripe button-down over a tank top, charcoal shorts, and tennis shoes. The females there were in dresses and the males in slacks. We sure dressed for the occasion, just not what E. was expecting. We sat alone a long while. No bread, no utensils, just water. E. finally came. Before we said anything: "We will bring out some plates for you to share? You'll be sharing, right?" Unprompted, he mentioned the Wagyu. "That would be good to order for you to share. There are plenty of meat in one plate." I had actually planned to order the Wagyu, but after that comment I chose the lamb. I ordered the clams for appetizer ($22), and the lamb chop ($56). My daughter ordered the sea bass (Corvina, $46). E. asked if I wanted spaghetti added to the clams, pointing at the $12 add-on. Since he pointed at the price, I declined. He then asked about sides, again pointing at the prices. I was planning on the creamed spinach ($14). Again, I smiled and declined after his poor behavior. E. was annoyed that I was unfazed. Every signal said the same thing: they did not think we could afford to be here. The food was okay. The clam sauce tasted like lemon juice. The lamb was pungent and gamey, and the sea bass seasoning was not to my daughter's liking. I also ordered hot tea. E. listed the options: green tea, chamomile, or herbal. I chose herbal. It did not arrive. I had to ask a busboy who brought the clams out, who flagged E. down. E. asked me the flavor again from another table. "Chamomile?" I reiterated: herbal. He did not come by to apologize for the delay. When I received it, it was chamomile and not herbal. Halfway through dinner, E. passed by once. "Everything is good?" We said yes as he kept walking. Yet he stopped at other tables to check on them. I flagged him down to recook my lamb, which was too raw. Without confirming, he took my plate away. Then I overheard him say, "Box it." I thought he meant for another table. He came back with the still-raw lamb in a box and a check, then instantly took off. I never asked for the damn check. He did not misunderstand me. He confirmed with another table before boxing their food. He never asked me. He boxed my raw lamb and dropped the check while my daughter was still eating, then walked away. As soon as I placed my card on the table, E. miraculously appeared. Lucky for him, I tipped 18%, but I wanted to tip only 10% or just leave a NOTE. I selected "printed check" on the handheld. A bright green text popped up that you cannot miss: "Please wait, your server will come back with your printed receipt." He took the device, said nothing, and disappeared. I waited for the receipt. It never came, and when I noticed E. was at another table with his back toward us, we left. Once home and alone, I called the manager. Roxanne was apologetic and offered a free appetizer if we return. I declined it and stated I just want better service if we choose to give the place another visit. Roxanne handled the call with grace, and that is the only reason this is not a one star. In retrospect, I do not see us coming back anytime soon, or ever. UNACCEPTABLE!!! To my daughter, who kept her kindness through a night that did not deserve it, you are the best part of every table I sit at. xoxo

It was also annoying for the waitress (not the gal that served us btw - a host perhaps) to give the vibe like they were doing us a favor by applying the $50 Birthday promo that THEY send via email (note, I verbally this flagged when we arrived just in case - but they didn't initially have it on our bill). My head is thinking "calm down--we ate minimally and got drinks. Don't offer it if you're going to have an attitude about adjusting the bill". It was just weird. They also didn't offer any bday dessert treat but we weren't super pressed bc we were so full. The meat was a bit overdone and all kind of tasted the same this visit. Didn't get to try the lamb chops and a few other meats, but still has a nice variety. Salad bar is top notch and consistent, although wish their black beans were plain due to all the meat. Drinks were ok--heavy pours but lower quality wine. The $29 "Wine Experience" package was worth it for my husband who likes variety of wines with his dinner depending on what he's eating. I'm sure I'll come again but it's been bumped a few notches on my Go To list.

We asked for the bone marrow to come out with the bone-in ribeye, and I'm so glad we did. Spreading the rich, buttery bone marrow onto the steak made every bite even better. The bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly with a beautiful crust while staying juicy and flavorful inside. Our server even suggested saving some of the butter to enjoy with the steak later, which ended up being a great recommendation. We also ordered the Wagyu fried rice, which was tasty with the roe. The broccolini was a great side. Can't go wrong with that. To end the night, they surprised us with sparkling grapefruit/champagne, a birthday dessert and cotton candy.
