Tried and True is a well run shop.  There is plenty of parking around back.  They accept donations as well as sell quality items for reasonable prices.  They have a nice selection of knick-knacks.  Their clothing is clean and they have a wide selection in many sizes.  The clothing is stylish and in good condition. From time to time they have very good furniture bargains.  You just never know what's going to show up. The staff here is very interested in providing a quality service and they are very good at customer service.  I enjoy going here as I am usually assured, if not a good conversation, a nice exchange of pleasantries which always brightens my day. They accept credit and cash here.  Their book selection is very good and if you know anyone looking for vinyl records you may want to let them know about Tried and True.  Don't miss the jewelry case at the checkout!

I can't express enough gratitude for these people because 150 items does take a while and they helped me till the end like the champions they are! They even stayed open later to help me! I used to work in retail myself and I know how annoying that can be and they did it with a smile! I regularly see items priced higher than what they originally sold for new, which completely defeats the purpose of shopping secondhand. It feels more like a clearance rack with inflated prices than a true thrift experience. Selection is another issue. Books are grouped into sections and appear to mostly be titles from the last twenty years. The ratio of paperbacks to hardcovers is high. A lot of options for avid contemporary readers as everything is a well-priced value. Sections also include an excellent well-stocked kid's area. I found the books to be neat and well-organized. The uniqueness of this bookshop is in its eclectic array of items beyond the books. There is a little of everything from records, comics, graphic novels, and other unique and interesting items. Nothing seems to be high-end collectibles, just fun, interesting stuff nerds like me like to see when they go shopping. I thought the staff was friendly, and overall, a unique experience. I will be back. Not a place for people looking to acquire ephemera, vintage, antiquarian, or collectible first editions. Heads up, the parking out front, I thought, was quite treacherous. We found exactly what we needed, and went to the checkout so we could make our purchase, and also return an item my Fiancé had purchased just before Christmas that ended up not working for her needs. The lady at checkout was rude, and that is putting it lightly. Negative in all aspects of the transaction, obviously not wanting to be a helpful employee. The name in the receipt was Denise, not sure if they share registers, but regardless, this lady could use a little bit of training in regard to her customer service. We've always been treated kindly here, but today we were left dumbfounded by this employees rudeness. Hopefully management checks these reviews as her behavior could chase customers away.
