The staff seemed uncomfortable and unprepared, despite their bold advertising. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. While I waited, I watched two men leave with some of the worst haircuts I've ever seen. Both smiled politely and said it was good, and I recognized that moment. That moment of despair but it's just a fake face, cry for help. because I've been there too, pretending it's fine when it's not. We deserve better. Don't settle for less, and don't let barbers who aren't up to the task waste your time or confidence. Speak up, and demand the quality you're promised. The moment I entered this barbershop, the feeling was familiar but uncommon! I was greeted immediately and upon my reservation, JR knew exactly the drink to pour me, tequila straight. And this wasn't well tequila! It was top of the line Agavero Añejo! I sat with Anna and through many conversations that also involved other patrons and staff, the place felt like a relaxed, hidden basement where you could comfortably share stories about the week, work, and life while sipping a drink that miraculously never saw a single hair follicle land in it. On the way out, I shared another drink and even more stories about the inspiration of the speakeasy barbershop and JR even took some of my suggestions and insight about some creative additions to his cozy shop. They are really nice people, they do a decent job with haircut but it is not worth $55. Their level of cut and service is more aligned with super cuts. $25, I would consider going here. $ 55 go somewhere that can do a $55 haircut. read more

I am looking for reasons to give a higher rating and I guess the only positive thing that I can come up with is the wooden floor ambiance is a bit nice, maybe?
