Nice and shady on those hot summer days, but bug spray is advised. We just parked off the side near the entrance and walked around. You can spend a lot of time wandering around metal sculptures large and small. Has a little of the outsider artist aesthetic due to many of the materials being found objects, but these are a good professional quality. Free admission, but donations are accepted. There isn't a map or guide for the park, but all paths eventually circle back out to the entrance. The brochure said you can call if you want to talk to the artist, but we were socially distancing so just self-guided. Definitely worth a trip out here. Support your local artists!

MOWA puts on free community art programs, especially for kids. Their annual members show is open to all members, along with shows for local area high schools, and the annual Chalk Art Fest. Their campus landscaping is beautiful, leading in with a huge grove of birch trees. There's plenty of parking in the public lot, and overflow just across the street. What a huge boon to the community of West Bend, and downtown West Bend has a lot to be proud of.

The simplicity, clean lines and extensive use of glass makes the building itself is a work of art. How the architect took into Consideration the natural surroundings should be recognized. Once you step inside there are several galleries to explore. Feature artists include Frank Lloyd Wright, Fred Stonehouse, John Szarkowaki and so many others. Examples of German Impressionism, realism, sculptures and glass art are just some of the beautiful pieces you'll enjoy. Alice LaQuintana was the docent who guided our group and she was absolutely amazing. I took art history and appreciation in college and learned many technical details about different types of art/ artists but Alice taught me how to really enjoy art. The museum is a wonderful cultural addition to the West Bend area and well worth a visit. My only suggestion would be a few more strategically placed benches or seating areas in each gallery so patrons can really take the time To absorb all what the artists created.

The Jonathan Clark House is an historic Stone House in Mequon, Wisconsin. We purchased the house in…read more1969, when we returned to Wisconsin after having lived on the the East Coast for five years after my wife and I graduated from college. We purchased the house from a Mr. Schneiker and lived there until 1976, when my employers wanted me to move to Chicago. With the benefit of retrospect, putting career ahead of things you love - like the Jonathan Clark House - was a big mistake. My wife and I were among the small group of folks who initiated the Stone House Tour in Mequon and Cedarburg. I have no idea whether the Stone House Tour continues to exist... but it was an annual big event in Mequon and Cedarburg - drawing up to a thousand people who wanted to see these historic residences. We saw a log building for sale a year or two after we moved into the Jonathan Clark House. We bought it on the spot! With my father and Brother we disassembled the one room log house, moved it over to the grounds of the Jonathan Clark House, reassembled it, re-roofed it and put on a garage door. It was a perfect re-purposing of a building that was otherwise likely to be demolished. I hope it is still there! We're happy it is still being well tended! Bill Welty

I turns out this museum has been here for almost 40 years! After a brief overview by a staff member we started to wander around the two floors that contains over 100 cars. Their speciality are Kissels which were built in Hartford - again, who knew? Lots of interesting cars. They have a very nice display of not only cars but car related memorabilia. We really enjoyed ourselves. A real gem.

Last year, I approached John Korom, the owner, about bringing my installation Still Life 69 which had been shown before, to show at his gallery. He agreed as long as I brought new work. Good call. Not only did I get to show the installation in a different setting, I had new work to show also. John actually sent out email blasts, facebook posts etc about the show. The space is really special. He employs a special system for hanging your art, one like I've never seen before. I've never hung a show and it was really easy to do. Each artist has their work up for a month. It's really a 4.5 star rating. ;)

She had been wanting to visit this place on previous trips back to Wisconsin but we just never found time to do so! Their hours are unusual so check first before venturing there! A couple of us joked that maybe we would wait in the car while my wife went in. When we arrived we were greeted by a modern building attached to a nicely restored stone barn. We all did go in and paid the $9 fee which included an audio headset. The staff was beyond friendly. We entered the small museum and were immediately blown away at how well curated it was. We all walked away having learned a ton about those who immigrated from Luxembourg to the US and about Luxembourg itself. The only downside was that the audio program did not coordinate well with the displays. After awhile I gave up and just read the displays since they were so good. This museum is extremely well done. Granted it is a very specific topic.

They're located on the second floor of the Cedar Creek Settlement (you know, the buildings with the sticky-sweet wine?) and sell Christmas stuff all year round. Everything is made in Germany, the Czech Republic or Poland and the craftsmanship is top notch. So are the prices! In addition to ornaments, they have other Christmas home decor, German woodcarvings, Advent calendars and candles and even a few German candies. If you love those glass ornaments that you see at those Christkindl Markets but you didn't want to schlep them home, fear not. They can all be had here. I was very impressed by the selection of not only ornaments, but also hand-carved wooden "smoker" dolls. I was eyeing up several of them, but scared away by the prices. They have beautiful mangers and several wooden candle "spinners" that turn from the heat given off by the candles. Super cool, but also very expensive. This kind of quality always is. Everything is made in Germany and absolutely authentic. Prices here are on par with other German Christmas decor outlets. There is also a small selection of Polish items and even some liquor filled chocolates. Get some for your Oma. She'll love them!
