I have lived in a handful of large managed buildings like the Spencer 68 over the last decade so took some of the previous reviews with a grain of salt as I was looking for short-term housing in between other arrangements. Large properties like this always have maintenance call issues (as noted in the reviews) but when touring I noticed the units I saw were pretty beat up (e.g. toilet seats with visible wear) for a community advertising "new" or "like-new units". However, I ignored the red flag as I figured I would be there 6 months max. Besides moving into an apartment that was dirty (visible pet hair everywhere), the worst part of my experience living there was the absolute shitshow of the package room. Unlike other modern buildings with individual lockers, there is just a room... full of people's stuff and it is actually impossible to find yours. No organization, not my name, building, etc. Just a pile of shit that increases daily. Theft is of course rampant and enabled by the office staff who don't want to make changes to the system. Other annoying things included: - Hallways that always smelled like trash (thanks to the trash valet service) - Overflowing exterior dumpsters, which always had trash and furniture strewn about outside - Incommunicative staff - they were going through a sale at the time but still I ended up terminating my lease early and worked with the office staff on the buy out and all the various fees. To my surprise nearly 2 months later, Greystar sent me an invoice stating I owed nearly $2,000 dollars. After replying to the notice and attaching my termination agreement they "revised" the total to be about $150 to cover additional cleaning fees and utilities. I really hope other previous tenants didn't just pay this and not assume the management company is right. For the money, it's worth looking at the sister properties (Flyway, etc) if you're tied to the downtown kenmore area as they seem to be nicer but they do share the same management company so your mileage may vary. read more

My girlfriend and I came here with the hopes to get away from the crime and nonsense of Seattle, but coming here was worse then the city. Since the change of management from Spencer 68 to a cheaper version which is a temp agency everything is so bad. 1. The office is unresponsive to your emails and questions. Unless of course they are emails about paying rent. They are sure to respond to those but not other complaints and questions. 2. There are constant issues with break ins and attempts to enter apartments when you are gone. 3. We scheduled to have our dishwasher looked at and we told them they can come at 3 different times so we can be in our unit during the work. They refused to respond, showed up to our door when nobody was there, unlocked the door and came in and did the work. "This is line is purely to demonstrate how mad I am as a resident of Spencer 68 that I needed to add this sentence" ...back to the issues. 4. They do not maintain any of the communal equipment. Everything is always broken or doesn't work. Overall, for the price that this place charges their residents it is ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT! read more

I will usually update my reviews whenever I feel a business has gone out of their way to improve. It's quite common for good business leaders to look at these reviews and try to use this platform to improve. Spencer 68 has done the absolute opposite. The parent company of Spencer 68 recently sold to a company known as Greystar. And ever since, the mission statement has become clear: It's all sales, no service. Requests for maintenance have gone unanswered for literally months. These are not simple "change the light bulb" requests (which, quite honestly, should not have 4 week wait times as they do today), these are "leaking pipes" requests and other urgent requests. These have gone unanswered for 2-3 months now. As part of this new parent company, they have completely removed the leasing office and replaced them with "leasing specialists". After discussing some issues with these specialists, it's clear that the "specialists" is codename for "specialists in sales". They are there to ensure tours occur, butter up any new prospects, and largely ignore any concerns for current tenants with the template response of, "This is not 'my property', I am a specalist". It's been a few months since the purchase from Greystar and we have no leasing department whatsoever. Just more "specialists" (sales people). The company has also made their mission statement of "all sales, no service" with their groundskeeper policies. For example: since the Greystar purchase, we have been woken up at 7am 3-4x/week by leaf blowers (and usually this falls on the weekends, when people would like to actually sleep in). I completely understand wanting to maintain the grounds, but this is overkill for the sake of sales ("polishing the turd"). When asked if they could do this at a more reasonable time, we're given the "shoulder shrug" as one other reviewer mentioned earlier this year. My recommendation: DO NOT rent here. Rental units in WA have phases. The first phase: send their best employees to get the place up and running. The second phase: bring in the maintenance crew to polish up some of the issues the first crew didn't complete. The third phase: bring in the 'we just need a body here to keep people off our backs'. And now, we are in the fourth and final phase: bring in the crew to bump sales up and forget any sort of service . Service is minimal effort (if you can call it effort). This place started out "okay". Their 2nd crew was amazing and really pushed hard to make things work. You didn't feel ripped off. I can confidently say that this pattern in Spencer 68 is part for the course in most rental units in WA. NC, NY, and TX - I've rented through them all and I none of them made you feel that you were getting ripped off, that you should feel thankful for the scraps they gave you. Only in WA have I felt this. For the extremely high price tag of Spencer 68 - go somewhere else. Go somewhere with far more convenience in the area. Bothell, Mill Creek, even Everett. Kenmore's price tag is far too high for the lack of activity in walking distance. One coffee, about 5 dentists in a 5 mile radius, and 1 over priced restaurant isn't worth it - trust me. read more

My dog and I are wrapping up 3 years at Spencer 68 and we have had an amazing experience here. Highly recommend! Where do I even begin? This is a very safe community. I have always felt comfortable walking my dog around the neighborhood at all hours because this area is quiet and peaceful. The residents are all very warm and welcoming (everyone smiles, greets, are courteous, and respectful). The management team really does go above and beyond in their service. I have so many wonderful things to say about the many interactions I have had with them--always happy to help but most importantly they are kind and genuinely care about their community. I loved my cute little apartment! Great views, natural lighting, especially loved my floors. Overall, 10/10!! read more

I lived here for 2 years. Unfortunately, this was place was sold to the giant corp. Here are the pros and the cons. As for the building itself, my husband and I really enjoyed our unit. It was quiet for the most part, we had concrete floors which is nice in the summer during high heat, residents were cordial, lots of cute pups, kid-friendly, and liked the amenities. Close public parking is available too for those who don't want to pay extra for parking spaces. It was nice to have groceries and restaurants nearby. The cons were trash is an issue most weeks. Such an issue that they started charging for trash valet service (prior to greystar), that didn't solve the issue just more fees for residents. During fall seasons more heightened noises from leaf blowing every other day. Very difficult to move in and out as they have no dedicated spaces. Everyone just sorts of uses the area next to a utility room. The new office constantly puts paper notices on doors instead of utilizing technology. Since the takeover, we, unfortunately, got caught as the end as we were also about to move out. After placing our move-out notice, we didn't hear another word from the leasing employees. I ended doing my own due diligence of taking so dozens of photos and videos of the state we left the apartment in prior to returning my keys. It has been more than 21 days since lawfully they needed to return our deposit. I have kindly reached out and no word. read more

Zero stars. My fiancé and I lived here for two years and it was the worst rental experience of my life. Our first month living here my fiancé's car was broken into in the parking lot (along with many others over the course of a few months.) Management's response was basically a shoulder shrug even though the theft stole our identity and spent thousands. Right after the whole complex got an email from Management because some woman was sexually assaulted on our sidewalk at night, and although she got away, they warned everyone not to walk around at night because the predator was still at large. I had a new puppy I needed to take out multiple times a night and it terrified me to know there were no additional security measures taken to manage what was clearly a dangerous situation. A few months later we woke up two nights in a row to someone randomly juggling door handles in our hallway and when we complained they told us it wasn't happening... even when our neighbors confirmed it was going on. This was between 2-3am and management tried to convince us & neighbors that it was someone coming home to the wrong apartment on accident? Yeah, right. It's not like there is any security that could confirm their theory. Oh did I mention our neighbors down the hall GOT IN A FIGHT AND ONE OF THEM SHOT THE OTHER and we woke up to police everywhere and blood all over the hallway one morning? The cleaners ripped the carpet out and cleaned - and then rented the apartment out ASAP. We had a good laugh telling the next renter about why they got such a deal. I honestly could go on... our second year in the apartment we decided it was smarter to pay for a covered spot in their "secure garage." Stupid idea and waste of money. One morning I woke up to my car window got smashed with everything stolen out of my back seat, AND AGAIN management did nothing. No suspect leads, no camera footage of what happened, no offer to help or provide any support beyond "looks like you need to make an insurance claim." Staff at the front office were rude and incompetent. Needless to say we felt stuck because we were saving up money for a house and we didn't want to move yet again, until we were finallyyyyy able to get out of this horrible complex. Our lease was a 12 month lease to end on a specific day. I filled out an intent to move form and put it under the office door. Even though we ONLY SIGNED A 12 MONTH LEASE THAT HAD ENDED and I turned in a form, the front desk claimed they never received our paperwork and that we would be charged for the next month because they didn't get a 30 day notice. I think we ended up giving something like a 26 day notice but because the joke of management team that run the front desk couldn't find it - they decided we had to pay for a 13th month on our 12 month lease. We were left with a $3000 bill and they took us to collections over it which is on our credit now. I rented for years in Bell Town, Queen Anne & Capitol Hill. Nothing has ever been as bad as this complex. My friends still talk about the time I used to live in that "insane complex where your neighbors shot each other and people got assaulted." She stated Sherron has stated they stand behind charges while again apologizing profusely. When I questioned her what charges when we never signed a lease or moved in (seems to be some confusion on who their tenants are) because of their error! She stated they are not asking for a deposit or any fees (received a bill) since I never moved in. She stated she would call their billing department and be back in contact.... Update: FINALLY! I have lived here since August 2020 and had an overall positive experience with the previous management but the complex was sold effective October 2021 and Greystar has been terrible. Their portal to submit maintenance requests doesn't work, emails aren't responded to, the office is inconsistently staffed, the phone isn't answered, and maintenance has gone dramatically downhill. I emailed about a lease question and the terms (and copy) of my lease hadn't transferred over, so I had to provide a copy of my lease to them, which seems odd. I have been really unimpressed so far and, unless something dramatically changes, would not recommend living here, which is unfortunate. I'll edit this review if that changes. read more

Have lived here for over 7 months now. The apartment is nice and modern, pet friendly including poop stations around the apartment buildings, staff is friendly, maintenance is GREAT - addresses concerns/repairs in a timely manner. The location is within walking distance of different stores and near the Burke Gilman trail as well as easy access to Lake Washington. The buildings are supposedly all secure (key access), but there have been instances where the doors are unlocked. The amenities are great which include a small gym, game room, 1/2 basketball court and hang out area. They have community gatherings to meet your neighbors although I don't believe they happen every month like someone stated. Some complaints are that parking is optional and quite expensive ranging from $35 (flex, no guaranteed spot), $70 for a reserved spot (far from actual apartment), to $100+ for a reserved spot in the parking garage. They say they have guest parking but there's ONLY two spots and it's located at there front desk office and is almost always filled so guests will need to park on the street. The fans never turn off in the bathrooms.... yes they are "automatic" but never turn off, and flash this annoying green light at any movement in the bathrooms (motion sensor). It also appears they've had a change in staff since we moved in and unfortunately do not communicate well about this change leading to many emails with no responses and having to following up with the front office multiple times. **Edit: it seems they've had high turnover the last few months** There is also no direct way for current residents to contact the front desk about issues/concerns other than the portal which most residents do not seem to use. Many of the neighbors are friendly, but there does seem to be quite a bit of dog poop laying around the property which has been brought up to the staff multiple times. Also beware if you have an apartment ON 68th st, road noise is quite loud and goes throughout the early morning to night time. read more

Does not feel like just another apartment complex but because of they service, it's a great home!! The issues I experienced are beyond the site level. My experience with the senior level people was horrendous, unprofessional, and embarrassing to your Company. I was unheard, mistreated, and not taken seriously at all. I had to escalate these issues all the way up the senior latter. I am in PM and to know how this is how residents are treated is just sad. My wife and I lived here for 2 years & 3 months. The first year we lived here was fantastic. This was all due to the office staff and how great they were. Shortly after we signed our second lease (for 15 more months) the entire complex staff changed and that is when Spencer 68 went downhill, and fast! Their office manager, Alex, I believe is the center of the problem. She along with the rest of the office staff that got hired after her are extremely inattentive, rude, unorganized and incompetent. With the old office staff I made it a point to enter through the main lobby and had pleasant conversation with the staff. Since Alex and her rude minions started, they hide in the office with the door shut and even when they see you approaching the huge glass office door, they will not acknowledge you until you ask for them to get your packages or ask a question. Once you do they finish their personal conversations before getting up. This is followed by an attitude like I am inconveniencing them by asking them to do their job. I've never had missing packages before, once this office staff started they "lost" 2 packages that show online they were signed for by the office staff. The new maintenance staff that was hired after Alex (so I am assuming she had a large part to do with who was hire) are all just as awful. The complex itself goes the, "looks nice, but super cheap" route when buying appliances and fixtures. Our bathroom light was flickering for almost 2 months before it was repaired. This was after I submitted multiple requests and reminders to have this taken care of. The grounds have dog poop all over the place. Small dog parks in apartment complexes are a great idea. But when there is dog poop and trash all over the complex it makes it less appealing. After finally moved out of this hellish place we walked through the unit with 2 different staff members on 2 separate occasions that said the unit is in great shape and shouldn't be any issues. Assuming that means we should be getting the majority if not all of our security deposit back. When it came that time we were grossly surprised when they charged us $960 to replace the carpet in the ONE bedroom. When I asked why they would do that and not clean it like was stated in our lease, Alex said that the carpet was "matted down". We did not wear our shoes in the bedroom and we vacuumed weekly, the carpet could not have been more well taken care of. So, to be changed $960 for ONE bedroom of carpet due to them buying super cheap carpet to begin with seems to me like they are looking to replace their cheap crap with their tenants security deposit's. The practices of this complex are shady at best. This along with the awful office staff is what earned the lowest rating I can give. The only redeeming value of this complex is the location. It is a great location close to the Burke Gilman Trail, shopping and breweries. It is sad and unfortunate that the staff of a complex can make or break a living experience. I would NOT recommend renting from Spencer 68. read more

Brand new building and NO AC. Not even a ceiling fan. Here is the response quoted from Spencer 68; "If you're interested in having a ceiling fan installed in your unit the best course of action would be to speak to one of the office staff in the leasing office. We would of course need to determine if there is an existing light fixture we can remove and install a fan in its place. You would also more then likely be responsible for the cost of the ceiling fan and any labor charges associated with installing and/or removing the ceiling fan." This apartment is perfect for my standards in housing for all people. My kids enjoy the game features of basketball, and the two game rooms, which are also great for watching the Seahawks on a large screen tv. There is not a lot of room for secrets in apartment living with thin walls tenants would have to go to extremes in silence to hide secrets. There is suspicion of drug dealing and sex trafficking in the upper units. I believe that one past manager who was fired victimized my boyfriend, and is hiding from me and tooling to make my life miserable. The current managers have maintained professionalism. read more

Yikes. It wasn't bad at first, there were community events (now they send a mass text 30 min after it has started to inform everyone that there is an event, with a box of crackers and some orange juice supplied), it was quiet, and clean, but then that all changed. Now I deal with people smoking outside my apartment (in a non-smoking community), being woken up at all hours of the night, and being ignored by the staff when I try to have these issues addressed. They claim to have an on site resident, and I have had the phone number confirmed multiple times, but this employee has NEVER helped. Out of the 5 times I've tried to call,there has either been no answer, or "oh, I'm that's someone else's responsibly" followed promptly by them hanging up. Helpful. When I inform the office personnel about issues, I'm always given the standard "we'll talk to them", or "oh my, we'll work on that right away", which is followed by no change, or me contacting them again in 3 days to find out why it hasn't been done yet and be fed the same line again. Then rinse and repeat that indefinitely and never have the issue addressed, guess they are hoping that the tenants will forget that there is an issue or give up. Just a few months after moving in, the microwave in that is set above the stove stopped working and it took FOUR MONTHS for them to get it fixed... Just, wow. That was with my weekly contacting them to get it addressed. Have you ever lived in a college dorm or a trailer park? I recently moved to the greater Seattle area from Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Spencer 68 was extremely helpful in making that huge transition an easy one. The leasing staff was extremely accommodating in allowing me to move in slightly early due to a change in travel plans. I've lived in several apartment complexes but this is by far the best one I've experienced. The apartments themselves are really nice. They all contain brand new appliances and beautiful wood finish on all the cabinets. I also feel very safe here, as the building is secure access only. They just recently added the ability to submit maintenance requests and pay rent online (a huge convenience). Kenmore is a smaller town but just about everything you could need is in walking distance. There's a Safeway, post office, espresso shop (necessary in a Seattle suburb), several restaurants, and more located within a block of the complex. Its also situated directly in the middle of Seattle and the Eastside, on the north shore of Lake Washington, making for a short drive to either I-405 or I-5. The staff is heavily invested in the local community and helps sponsor and keep residents informed about many upcoming local events. Most recently, they sponsored the Kenmore 4th of July Fireworks and the on going Summer Concert series at Saint Edward State Park. Overall, I couldn't be happier living here. Everyone I've met is super friendly and I've already made several friends with other residents.The complex is now almost completely finished, with tons of work being done since I moved here. It will only be even better once the final building is open! read more

Amazing friendly staff! Very nice looking newly constructed modern apartments. The staff has fun community events to bring tenants together which is unheard of in an apartment community. Maintenance requests taken care of immediately! Conveniently located. A shorter commute is always a plus. People just seem really happy living here. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to live that is very well managed. Daniella, Katrina and Danielle are just the best at doing their jobs. They really seem to care about the needs of their tenants. You just won't find this kind of friendly and attentive service anywhere else! read more

Lived here for a year and just recently moved out due to distance from work. The original staff is by far the best we've encountered in a long time and they're genuine. The only issue we had was no designated parking included in rent and water is a whopping hundred bones where anywhere else would be significantly cheaper. Tenants can be strange at times but that's anywhere you go. Never lived anywhere in Washington state that had an A/C unit so Analise (commented) may be new to the state and shouldn't give a negative rating because of that. Doesn't get that hot where you NEED an A/C unit. Life must be tough for you. I would give 5 stars if the water was cheaper and parking wasn't such a pain in the arse. -Matt read more

I've lived at Spencer68 for just shy of a year now, and here's my impression: they're rad. The price for the space/amenities is amazing. Leasing office staff (Alex, Danielle, Jazzmine) are so friendly and on days that all I have time to do is walk my dog and go to work, they make me feel like I've gotten to socialize with friends (rather than hey I just walked by an office with people that are uninvolved). Any time I have a question or concern they help me immediately. Resident events are generally during my work hours (I work evenings), and they're always kind enough to set a little aside in case I'd like to participate on my own time (holiday wrapping or plant potting parties, for example). Maintenance and cleaning crews are constantly working their tails off to make sure that living here feels seamless and like you never had to ask for anything (Ngan [sp? Sorry if I spelled that wrong] with cleaning, Tony, Jered, and Tom with maintenance)--and if there's ever anything I need from them it's handled as quickly as possible. I have a territorial dog who doesn't like people entering the apartment, and maintenance even brings treats with them when they come by to bribe her affection (sooo smart!). I've really enjoyed living here and while I'm starting my search for a home to own, I find myself wanting to rent here for longer...I had 17 years in NYC with the most ridiculously awful landlords imaginable. The Spencer68 team really makes everything about living here so easy and great! A couple other notes: Parking and pet fees cost more, but are reasonable! Amenities are fun--the main lobby area has a chef's kitchen, lots of space for entertaining, a beautiful BBQ, a sports court, as well as a couple bikes and helmets you can take out for a cruise. There's a game room that has air hockey, a TV larger than any I've seen in any indoor setting, pinball machines, et al. My nieces and nephews LOVE visiting me! Neighbors are kind and mindful of common space/noise issues. Really highly recommend living here if you're looking for somewhere central to eastside, northside (Everett/lynnwood) and Seattle! read more

I lived at Spencer68 for a year before I had to relocate due to my boyfriends job being about an hour away from our place. That said, this place is AWESOME!!! Where to start?! The premises is always kept clean and neat, the neighbors and residents were always kind and respectful, the maintenance team is EXTREMELY prompt, competent, and trustworthy. Lastly, everyone in the leasing office was always incredibly kind, caring, attentive, and helpful for any and all of our needs and concerns. I really couldn't recommend this place more, but if your on the fence about whether to lease here or somewhere else, choose SPENCER68! You wont regret it:) read more

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Do not be fooled by the first month free, as it will cost you far more in the end than you ever saved. Be aware that, despite the exorbitant prices of the townhomes, there are tenants living below you. Don't rent a townhome if you have pets or kids, as the noise carries down below. Be aware that management professes to love pets, but there are signs everywhere that ask you to take your dog off property to go potty (despite there being bags provided on property?). Be aware that if your pooch has accidents on the carpet, you will be charged to replace ALL OF THE CARPET IN EVERY ROOM because (and I quote) "We do not do partial carpet replacements to keep the uniformity of the home". Be aware that parking is not included and that you have to pay an additional monthly fee to park on site. Be aware that their move-out letter gives the impression that you will be charged reasonable fees for general and carpet cleaning, repairs, etc but that this is not the case AT ALL. They will nickel and dime you for everything. Be aware that their employees couldn't get in during the snowstorm in February for several days, they didn't de-ice any of the parking lots and refused to take that into account when we were unable to secure another property in time to give "appropriate notice". Be aware that you can rent an actual HOUSE for the same money IN KENMORE with a yard, more square footage, privacy and far fewer neighbors for the SAME price we paid to live in a townhouse there. My family have lived in Kenmore since 2009. It is an amazing place to live. We have kids in elementary school and middle school in Kenmore, and one in college who graduated last year from Inglemoor. Prospective renters, stay away. Find an apartment or home that has been in the community for the long haul, not this opportunistic group who don't have the best interests of our community at heart. read more

Very poor management. Ridiculous customer service from the two staff in the office (Madilyn M. & Jazzmine E.) that have let their power go to their heads and have run amuck. They have forgotten that they work for the residents and not the other way around. Quite possibly the worse management I've witnessed in the four apartment complexes that I have resided in Washington during 10 years. The office staff doesn't want to be bothered with the residents. There are other choices that are far better in terms of professionalism and attitude. Smiling faces await for those that will be potential residents. Complete neglect and no regard for those who already reside there. We're not happy with the way things are being run and they continue to be perpetuated by the office staff and are getting worse. I have moved onto a very different property earlier this summer and have been better taken care of by the management at my new residence. read more

Just moved in with my husband for roughly 3 months now. I fell in love with it on the first showing and we paid to hold this unit as we more than halfway made up our minds. The staff team is super friendly so our process and everything went fast 'n well. A few minor problems came along as uasual upon moving day but over all the place got them settled within just first 2 or 3 days staying. The lobby interior is breathtaking totally represents high class apartments/lofts that we've never lived in before. Our unit designs are kind of cool tho, concrete floor and sliding wooden door for the bedroom, new kitchen appliances, bathroom and balcony are also new and clean. Looks really nice in person. We impress every of our guests. I only give it 4 stars though cause im feeling the service is too good to maintain or something that everything they're about to do for the community probably can cost something. They're trying to make money out of those i guess. $99 for water/sewage/gabage for a houshold of 2 is such a rip-off to be honest. But I believe we all get what we paid for eventually so by far we dont have any issues yet. By the way, you pay for your own parking spot of course, $50/month, such a joke. Or else you'll have to do it on the sweet but finger-crossed everytime cuz some days its just packed. So if you pay, youll get personal parking space downstairs and always available. We would recommend it, absolutely despite a few holes on the walls, this place has lots of potentials to a good home in this small town. read more

I love living in this place. The staff is great. They throw the best events and are super friendly. My apartment is always quiet and it's spacious. The location is perfect as well. I'm 25 minutes from downtown Seattle so an Uber isn't expensive. All in all, I really like this place and I plan to renew my lease in February. read more

I moved across the country from Virginia and was extremely nervous about the move. These three wonderful ladies made me feel so at home from the moment I arrived. I usually do not write review...but! Amazing staff! Although I did not end up renting one of the apartments (chose something closer to work), the staff made me feel like I already was living there. I believe the woman who was helping me was named Danielle. She greeted me with a smile and was very accommodating/knowledgable. This place was a God sent for us when we got flooded out of our house. They were willing to put us up through the insurance company on a month to month basis. The location was excellent being right in downtown Kenmore, only 1.5 miles from our home that we had to go to on a daily basis. Being new, there were several minor repairs and corrections that had to be made and they were all made promptly. As a Real Estate broker, I value customer service above all else, I have to say that the staff was outstanding in their customer service. I've lived at Spencer68 for almost 2 years and love it. I feel safe and the entire team is so friendly and helpful. The lead maintenance, Tony, is always on the ball if I have any issues and gets me straightened away quickly plus takes time to pet my cat (attention whore that she is :-) . The gal (I always forget her name) that keeps all the common areas clean, is just a doll, she is always working super hard to keep everything clean for us and has a big smile for me and HELLO every morning as I head out to work. The girls in the office, TOP NOTCH, Danielle, Jazmine, are always friendly and helpful if I have a question and host great monthly events for the residents. Missing Alex already, she was the best Property Manager ever, but looking forward to getting to know Kayla, I'm sure she will do an awesome job too. The apartments themselves are modern, with polished cement floors and the big windows are great in the summer when you need to get a breeze on some of our warmer days. It would have been great to have ceiling lighting especially in the bedrooms and even better a ceiling fan, but overall not much I can complain about. You really get your monies worth at this location especially in comparison to some of the places I had previously looked at only a few miles away. read more

Living here has been wonderful - love it! The unit itself is really nice, the office staff are always friendly and helpful, and maintenance has taken care of every little thing right away. I feel very comfortable and at home here. Being downtown and a block from the buses on Bothell Way is a huge bonus, as is walking to the library, post office, Safeway, RiteAid, Pagliacci, pet stores, Super Supplements and more. The Burke Gilman Trail is only a few blocks away as are several nice parks and playgrounds (Log Boom, Rhododendron, Wallace Swamp Creek, the new Skate Park...) My extended family used the community rooms this weekend for our huge holiday party. The feedback from everyone was 100% enthusiastic and positive - they loved the amenities (ping pong, shuffleboard, basketball, a lot of board games, multiple TVs for the bowl games, etc.) It was one of the best parties we've had in decades! At this point I can't come up with any constructive/negative comments. So far, so good! Highly recommend. read more

This place seems great in the beginning but you will start to see how terrible the office staff really are as you live here. They don't respect your concerns or take them seriously and act like little mean girls who pick favorites. They also just sit in the office with the door closed and if you ask for them to get the package or to clean the coffee machine, that is provided for the tenants, they will complain and be reluctant to do so. They constantly hire maintenance that have no experience and do not know what they are doing. The apartments are fairly new but that doesn't mean it needs real work done within the buildings or individual homes. They also set up "more cameras" to help with the "dog poop pollution" but in reality, it is to spy on the residents. There are dog poop all over the community constantly and not to mention the smokers littering all of their cigarette butts on the community. The office staff will let anyone move in for their "bonus" and only see you as paychecks rather than human beings with respect. I would never recommend anyone living here. read more

Spencer 68 apartments are awesome I've lived here for about 3 years and I can truly say it has been great. Spencer 69 is very family friendly with a nice sense of community ,there are also alot of areas for kids to play and hangout. Also the staff is great and really take pride in what they do and invest time into getting to know the residence. All in all thumbs up for Spencer68 apartments!!! read more

We just relocated from Virginia and moved into The Spencer68 sight unseen. The folks in the leasing office were a huge help during that process. Everyone in the office is really nice and helpful. Spencer was a huge help and patiently answered all my questions while we were trying to decide on a place to live. Since we moved in, The Spencer 68 staff continues to impress me. Everyone in the leasing office is great. I mean super friendly! The maintenance team is also top notch. I have only made a few requests for smaller items but they are very friendly and respond in a timely manner. The buildings and grounds are really nice too. The Spencer 68 apartments are brand new and modern which is perfect for us. We are on the bottom floor and we have not had any issues with noise from outside or the surrounding units. We moved from a house so this was a big concern for us. We have some new construction around us but they do a great job of keeping us isolated from it. We take advantage of the clubhouse too. My wife uses it for group study sessions and we also use it for a quick game of Ping-Pong on occasion. The location is ideal for us. It is near my wife's school and walking distance to basically everything that we need for day-to-day life. The apartments are also super dog friendly. Our boy, Casey Cooper, loves to visit the folks in the leasing office and get a treat. He also has several dog friends that he likes seeing on his daily walks. We can't wait for them to open the new dog park, which will just be the cherry on top for us. We would definitely recommend The Spencer 68 to others. read more

We love our place! The staff is super friendly and accommodating along with the complex itself being so well kept and updated. Are place doesn't even feel like we are living in a apartment complex with all the updated appliances and concrete flooring which makes our place feel super stylish. Traveling into Seattle is a breeze ether on transit or driving within 25min and having the Burke Trail makes it super easy and safe to ride my bike to work. read more

Spencer, Jeff, Katrina and Danellia are amazing....they went out of their way to help with my move letting use their moving dollies more than once....saved my back! Love this place! The staff here is by far the greatest set of people I've ever experienced. So helpful and friendly. The grounds and inside are kept in pristine condition which makes living here luxurious! My wife and I looked at many apartments in the Kenmore/Bothel area and found Spencer 68 to be the best. There service and specials really won us over. They made leasing a breeze! We moved all the way from Arkansas and were happy to arrive at our new home. The staff was flexible and understanding as we made the long move. Very happy in our new home! read more
