I was very favorably impressed with the attention and care he received from the care staff, and it made things much better for him. During those early days, I asked about what would happen if he passed away, and I was told, "Oh, the social worker with help you with all of that." I was called late one night by the supervising nurse to tell me my relative had passed away, and that Tennessee regulations required I have the body removed within two hours (which I later learned is not the case). I asked if there was someone at McKendree who could help, such as the social worker, and the nurse said I should call a funeral home. I quickly tried to locate a funeral home, which said they could help, but they had never heard of the "two hour" regulation. Indeed, while I was speaking with the funeral director, the nurse called again to ask me when someone would be coming for the body! The funeral home did collect the body, shortly after McKendree's two-hours were up. Those two calls from the supervising nurse were *the only* calls I have received from McKendree regarding my relative's passing. Nor have there been any emails or text messages. I have placed calls to, and left voicemail messages for, the social worker who had called me months ago when my relative was about to be admitted, the business office, the admissions office, McKendree's main number, the floor nurses station. NO ONE has called me. In addition, the funeral home director was unable to get the death certificate for five full days after my relative died. He told me he had called McKendree several times a day trying to get it, and even visited the facility, but had no success. At last it finally was issued. So, as to the care given by the nurses and aids, I would give FIVE STARS. As to the "help" of the office, social worker and management-type staff, ZERO STARS.

My experience as a tenant has been…read morefilled with ongoing maintenance issues, poor communication, and troubling behavior from management. Repairs are routinely delayed, ignored, or only partially completed. Despite months of reporting serious problems--including a leaking roof, water intrusion in the kitchen and living room, mold concerns, and HVAC failures--many of these issues were either temporarily patched or not addressed at all. I had to manage repeated flooding with buckets and a shop-vac during family gatherings, and much of the labor to contain damage fell on me. Management has consistently used rent status as a reason to withhold repairs, which is a violation of Tennessee tenant law. Multiple employees acknowledged this, yet no meaningful steps were taken to correct it. Promises to meet with corporate to discuss fair compensation were made but never honored, despite written confirmations. Adam, the on-site salesman, made several promises during move-in that were never kept. Worse, he knowingly made statements and took actions that are illegal--including threatening to call the police and make false claims against me during a disagreement, which I documented on video. Once he realized he was being recorded, he changed his tone. The overall handling of tenant concerns here is unprofessional and reactive. Corners are cut with the cheapest options, resulting in repairs being redone multiple times, costing more in the long run and leaving tenants stuck in unsafe or substandard living conditions. While the location is convenient and the community has potential, the current leadership and maintenance practices fall far below acceptable standards. If you're looking for a place that respects tenants, responds appropriately to issues, and operates within the law--this is not it.

She called apolozing to me because my pre-approval for my prescription went to the wrong insurance I have Medicare and Medicaid. Please pray for my doctor and all those who have covid. I had covid about 6 weeks ago and my this doctor's office called me in all my meds and extra so I could get better. This is the best doctor I've ever had and I've had a few Sub Doctors unfortunately.

During August 2026 my brother spent a total of 24 days here. His stay was due to a spinal cord injury. During his stay he progressively lost function and independence! He also received a hospital acquired infection in his blood. They kept him for an extra few days while treating him for the infection they caused. While he was there almost every thing was done for him! Instead of having him practice daily how to care for himself independently they did it for him and used equipment that he didn't have for use at home. When he was discharged he was sent home without any home health and still unable to do anything independently for himself! He couldn't get himself into the bed because they used a lift at the rehab and he had to use a slide board at home and wasn't sure how. He couldn't get his shoes on because they did it for him instead of teaching him how to use the tools to do it himself. He couldn't get onto the bed side commode with a slide board because they used a lift. THIS Place is not a rehabilitation facility! It's a glorified nursing facility. If you or your loved ones hopes are to learn how to be independent at home don't go here it's not worth the risk! Not only did they send him home without an after care program they sent him home without having any one that could help him at home! We are currently looking for another rehabilitation facility that will actually teach him and help with setting up after care programs.

The first two hours I was in my room the on suite bathroom in my room had roaches a nurse had to step on them and kill them. The floor where they were killed has yet to be sanitized even once in the 3-4 days ive been here. The food is always served cold which is absolutely unsafe and could cause food borne illnesses. Pain meds are always given 30+ mins late and other meds also. It's just not good here and I'm highly disappointed but this is where my insurance will pay for my rehab so thats Why I'm here. I would not recommend this place to anyone with a choice of places to go. I've also been left for more than 45 mins for bathroom assistance. Not good!

WOW, what a blessing and great choice. They are true professionals and know what's needed to turn around. Very compassionate and positive. When I walked in for the 1st time it was with a walker and steps were tiring to difficult. The Physical Therapists worked with me and pointed out what I needed. Great homework within my comfort zone. A few months later I walked out on my own with strength and stability. I can even walk fast with no worry. Special shoutout to Mike, Rachel, Ericka, Ellie as my physical therapists, they're the best. My stroke effected my right side meaning I couldn't my a fist, pickup anything or use my right arm. The Occupational Therapists took charge and loosened up my arm and hand. They showed continued compassion and encouragement. At the end of the my therapy I could shower, shave, wash my hair, prepare meals, drive, and other everyday tasks. What a caring team! I brought the issues to attention of management and they fixed in hours not days. All they do is review the medial director records and won't even speak to the family or the patient. It's all a scam and they don't give a fuck about their patients.
