Cute place. They have sandwiches similar to Gino's, which they call UFOs. They also have Blizzards that they call Razzles. My son had the wings and mozzerella sticks. He gave them a 9 out of 10. Very tasty. It's a nice treat if you are visiting the Flatwoods area.

We stopped here on a road trip - friendly service, clean and good food. We had burgers and fries - cooked to order with quick service.

Outstanding farm-to-table dining in Snowshoe…read more For anyone visiting Snowshoe Mountain and hoping to find a truly elevated dining experience, Appalachia Kitchen stands apart. The concept is simple but well executed: locally sourced Appalachian ingredients, seasonal menus, and careful preparation. In an area where "upscale" dining often leans heavily on pricing instead of execution, Appalachia Kitchen focuses on what actually matters--quality, balance, and consistency. Highlights included: * A perfectly cooked filet paired with root vegetables and a rich, restrained sauce * Thoughtful plating without unnecessary theatrics * A wine list that complements the menu instead of competing with it * Attentive service that feels professional but relaxed One standout moment: the staff happily accommodated a custom French press paired with vanilla gelato and chocolate chips--a small detail, but one that shows how much pride they take in the guest experience. Snowshoe attracts visitors from across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, and for many, this will be the memorable meal of their trip. If you're deciding where to spend your money for a special dinner, this is the restaurant that delivers on both quality and value. Appalachia Kitchen sets the benchmark for what higher-end dining in Snowshoe should be.

The outside looks slightly run down but inside looks AMAZING and so cozy and fancy. The food was good too, the salad bar was just ok. But the drinks were so good and so cheap as well! I loved the moscato, it was very sweet! Decent prices as well! Would definitely come back!

I would say this restaurant is a high class local steakhouse and not much on good seafood…read more I went there and I was on the only customer (this was about 5:45 in evening) so the waitress was in parking lot on her phone, but quickly went inside and meet me. She got my table ready, which took no more than 5 minutes. Where I was seated, they had dim red lights on, which made it a little hard to see the food and menu. I wanted Mussels as an appetizer, but they were out. So, I got Cold Cocktail Shrimp instead. They were ok, the cocktail sauce was too strong thou. They also put out fresh rolls. The rolls were good, just small. Next, I ordered a Grilled combo of shrimp and scallops, with a side of steak fries. On the sides, for an upscale restaurant, there were not many side options. As for the main dish, the Shrimp was barely edible and the scallops were ok. Both had no flavor, tasted like they were grilled too long. The cocktail sauce helped a little with the scallops. The waitress was great and professional, I also talked with the owner. Who was walking the restaurant. Overall, as to the seafood side of the menu. I'm not really impressed. Maybe the steaks are good. But overall, I don't recommend this restaurant.
