Christian gave me beta just when I needed it. I was up on foil turning in circles- halfway thru the lesson- and almost overwhelmed by joy. Christian loves efoiling and his enthusiasm resonated with mine so much that i feel like we've been on the same team for years. The Lift efoil worked flawlessly-- it's the best in the market. Christian also provided a super safe environment, safety vest along with the helmet. For me this whole experience was such a dream come true -- words fail to illustrate the pure exhilaration- the glorying stoke has not worn off. Can't wait to get out and efoil some more. Thank you Christian!!!

Meeting at our planned location and time he had all the gear ready to go including helmet with two way hands free radio which makes for easy coaching. In very little time we were flying above the water in tandem. The feeling is like surfing on a jet powered magic carpet. He even managed to get some pictures of me riding and had drinks waiting when we were done. Couldn't have had more fun on such a serene marine morning. For those interested in trying this futuristic experience, I highly recommend Take flight water sports.

Santa Cruz Island was beautiful. The air here is pristine. I felt sick when I woke up with a headache and a little weird on the ship but the second I stepped onto that island the fresh air took me to 100%, and I was totally fine on the way back. We hiked the trail to the right as you get off and had amazing views at the top. Unfortunately it was difficult to get a reservation to be able to go, stay a few hours and leave on another ship. Everything was booked like 2 weeks out. The only availability was a boat in that arrived late because we stopped for the whale (worth it!) at 3:45, and we had to board to get back on at 4:30. Wish we had more time, but it was worth the trip. They must be a popular ferry because it's difficult to book what you want unless you book way in advance. The ferry stopped again on the way back to Ventura to pick up a balloon so the dolphins don't eat it, and when we took off again a pod of dolphins were surfing in the waves from our boat... SO COOL!!! Some of them right next to the boat. We would definitely use this company again, maybe book in advance next time we travel here, but we would try to see another island next time. An excellent experience.

What a wonderful and exciting excursion to the channel island national park!…read more Island Packers is the best and reliable way to get to your channel island destination! The ride was fairly calm getting to and from the island. Felt like we were in great hands the entire time. The ship is clean and well stocked with snacks and drinks for your purchase. They also seem to be very knowledgeable when it comes to the rare whale sightings that can happen. We got lucky when the Captain saw some whale activity near by and slowed down to show us. He dropped a lot of knowledge about the animals and their habits etc. So we scored a surprise marine life lesson too! Thank you! Island Packers also do whale watching excursions btw. Overall: I would and absolutely recommend Island Packers for your visit to Channel island national park or anything else they provide! Super friendly and professional service all the way.

As it turns out, all of the harbor seals, and sealions have names. We befriended one named Steve, he is much better at swimming than I am. He also taught me secret techniques to paddling. This one Pelican named Parry got into a barking match with some sealions, which is a fight he wasn't gonna win, let's be honest. Though I was hoping to see an M-A-N-A-T-E-E ... next time! If you're gonna go down on Haley street, where the dogs are easy and the sun is cheap, you never know just who you'll meet, on Haley. (But hopefully it's Rachel from the Santa Barbara Adventure Company, and you get her kayak tour; shout out!)

We had a fun ferry ride to the islands and even got to slow down to watch a large Sunfish (Mola Mola) snacking on some jellies. I recommend getting in line early to secure the best view seating on the ferry. Our kayak guides, Chuck and Adam, were exceptional--knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made the entire trip both fun and informative, while ensuring we always felt safe and well cared for. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and warm water, which allowed us to explore all seven sea caves--many of which are inaccessible during high tide or rougher conditions. It made the experience even more special. Having lived in Santa Barbara for 22 years, this was my first time visiting the islands, and it was truly unforgettable. The pristine landscapes, abundant sea life, and even spotting several tiny island foxes while enjoying our picnic lunch, made it an unforgettable adventure. We can't wait to do it again--highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and exceptional experience!
