We started using them in 2009 for our auto and homeowners insurance after a giant national company (rhymes with "Hate Farm") hiked our rates over 20% without a peep or us filing a claim, saying the costs to insure STL historic homes had increased as much in a single year (2008, when the values of home were decreasing). A neighbor of ours recommended Naeger, who immediately found us several cheaper policies with the same amount of coverage. When we wanted to continue coverage on our unoccupied home and our insurance company didn't cover unoccupied property, I'm sure they could have made more money by writing us a new policy. Instead, Joe called the company and convinced them to bend the rules to help us. An insurance company, bending the rules to help someone, you say? It was magic - bizarre and amazing magic! These folks are easy to deal with over the phone or email and respond to you after business hours without a second thought. In summary, they are a convenient, local, friendly, business with low prices and a high level of customer service. I highly recommend them.

But when I told him I was calling around just to get quotes as I bought a small property out there in St. Louis, he said good luck and just hung up. Now when I try to call back, it goes straight to voicemail. I believe people probably have had great experiences with him, but geez, what kind of business practice is that to act and speak that way over the phone?

Thought I was done with these guys? Nope…read more Early August, I receive a letter from Commerce Bank, my lender for my auto loan. It says they have no record of me having insurance for the month that I had the most trouble with State Farm. So I go to their website, fill out a form and am told Commerce will contact State Farm for verification. Sounds good. I've actually done this before. Flash foward to August 25th. I get a second letter from Commerce saying that they weren't provided accurate insurance information. So they want me to pay the insurance cost they feel they deserve for that period of time. It's $125. So I call. No surprise: Commerce called Scott Holdridge's office on August 12th. Scott Holdridge's office was not comfortable sharing that information over the phone. Who knows why. So they say they'll fax over the information. THEY NEVER FAXED THE INFORMATION OVER. So now I'm stuck calling in again tomorrow, hoping Commerce can actually reach someone at State Farm and then clear this up. In the meantime, I'm being threatened with action for something I took care of 100%. Maybe someone could have read my previous reviews and said "Hey, who knows, maybe Tony was a jerk and that's part of the problem". Now I have nice people at Commerce having the same exact problem with this office. Amazing. I predicted they'd find some way to screw with me again and here we are. Am I ever going to be done with these people? The ineptitude is staggering.

They live here, shop here, pay taxes here, etc. They have always been very professional and extremely helpful with all my insurance issues from purchasing condos, new cars, changing cars, articles polices (adding articles, deleting articles) etc. Any time I need a proof of insurance or anything else from them, I have it immediately. I have had a lot of contact with Scott's office over the years and never had any issue. I'm very satisfied and can't recommend them enough. Please do all your business locally when possible whether it is purchasing your insurance at a local office or banking at a local bank or better still, a local credit union. Whether it be a quote, addition or adjustment, I am always quick to receive a response. Never have I met a more professional group of people to work with. John, James and Jackie are extremely responsive and professional. The office is clean and welcoming and they are always willing to take in-person meetings, which is appreciated. John is able to play an advisory role as well, which is a good benefit. He's also very tied-into the neighborhood. This is important to me. State Farm may cost slightly more than some other types of insurance however the return is well-justified. I would highly recommend John Hayden's office for insurance needs in St. Louis.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. This company is so hard to work with. I was trying to switch which…read morebank account they could take money from as I no longer us they account they where charging. I call them and speak with a representative and they send me a form to fill out so that I could switch bank accounts. I send it back in a timely manner. They then proceed to wait a month to let my advisor know that the form was incorrect. I call them again directly only for them to say they reach out to me the day after I sent the form. They send me a PDF of the email that was sent to me. When I double checked my email on my side I did not receive anything. I checked my spam and trash just to double check. So it appears to me not only do there employees know what they are doing but whoever is in their technology team seems to be using an out dated system as I never received that email. According to LLIC this was sufficient on there end. Only one email on there end. No follow up to my advisor or to myself to see if I received anything from them. Now they're expecting me to pay 3 months up front, which is what I was trying to avoid. Unwilling to work with me and the current situation.
