GUYS!!! This place is awesome! I threw my husband the best surprise Boats and Hoes themed party and this place was the glue that put it all together! We looked relentlessly for a venue for the party, but every place was either too far or had no ambience. I'd seen pictures from a friends event that was held here and quickly called her to find out all the deets. I called the next day, spoke to Brooke, and went to see the place for myself. I. Fell. In. Love. But I had to coax my mother and sister in law into it. They thought it was too small and just would not work for our 150 guests. I had to quickly explain that the venue also included the outdoor patio! And tables and chairs and ice machine and kitchen and premium furniture and...the list goes on and on! Everything was perfect! We were able to fit our 100 guests and had a band! I'm telling you guys if you need a venue with class and ambiance for an affordable price then LOOK NO FURTHER!!! read more

I work within the event industry and had heard great things about The Station but hadn't had the opprotunity to attend an event there or see it in person. Last fall, my grandfather suddenly passed away and I was given the task of planning his celebration of life with only a few days to do so. I immediately thought of The Station and checked the webiste to find very reasonable packages for the venue. I e-mailed to see if the date was available and Natalie got back to me right away and answered any questions I had. On the day of the event, we ran a bit early and not only did Natalie have the space ready for us, she let us come in early to complete setting up the other items we brought and the food we had catered. She was friendly, prompt, and professional. The venue itself is well-appointed and beautiful. It really is a great space that can be used for so much and many things are included in the package pricing. Not having to worry about renting tables, chairs, or other items, and having them set-up prior to our arrival was such a help. I got numerous compliments on the venue, with many people saying how perfect it was but they had never heard of it. Having Natalie there on site ensured everything ran smoothly too which I loved when it came to the audio/visual equipment that have on site. I can't recommend this venue enough! read more

We had our baby shower here and it was absolutely perfect! The price for a shower with the space and all the amenities were very much worth it in my opinion. We got so many compliments about the space and the location. The staff are very helpful and we had someone there the entire day just to make sure things ran smoothly. Cleanup was also a breeze, as you just take your decorations and things and leave everything else for them to sanitize and clean. read more

Currently shopping around for a wedding venue for my partner and I :) This venue was our first stop and I'm so glad it was, I absolutely fell in love with everything they offer, the lighting and what seems to be easy to decorate because of how beautiful it is.. & for a great price! We met with the owner after hours (5pm) which we appreciated since we both work full time, she answered all of the questions we had and showed us around. I cant wait to seal the deal with this venue! I wish I could give the Venue a separate rating from the experience. When I reserved the Venue, I was told "feel free to contact me with any questions you may have" by Brooke Copeland Event Coordinator. From the minute I reserved it was very stressful due to her never responding. I had many questions while planning and preparing for the shower. Twice I received a short reply. I had even contacted the Fire Fighters Office, was told to ask my "Coordinator" kind of difficult when she would never respond. I could not even get a reply the day before the event asking "just making sure its a go for tomorrow?" Day before event after picking up guest at the Airport I was a nervous wreck, concerned something may be amiss and I could not have the shower. Really had no idea. After leaving the airport fortunately we stopped by and we were introduced to Ashley. She showed us the Venue, I had yet to see it. Showed us all the kitchen items we could use, knives, ice buckets etc.. to bad I had already purchased unnecessarily. Ashley gave me her number while assuring us she would be there to help the following day. She was great! Thank God. I never did hear back from Brooke. The entire experience would have been better without her as a so called "event coordinator". Thanks to good friends, and Ashley the shower was beautiful. read more

I was lucky enough to attend a baby shower at The Station on Sunday. Holy Awesome! The place was clean, urban, modern and new. I loved everything about it. The chandeliers were something else! They looked like they had been repurposed and redone to be these beautifully vintage and somehow modern statement pieces. I only hope I get to go back for another event to see the space decorated in a whole different way. It seems very versatile. read more

Love the venue and had my engagement party here. We had about 150 people and with servers and dj and photographer we were probably at 160-165. We used the patio also and it worked out but inside on its own would not be able to accompany all those people. Nancy was super friendly and easy to work with. She was always there to help. We were promised a privacy wall in the patio area, but they were unable to put it up last minute because of their new patio lights. Lastly, party is supposed to end at 11:30 and you need to be out by midnight or else you will end up paying extra. Other venues don't do that so just keep that in mind. read more

We held my daughter's baby shower here and it was absolutely amazing and perfect! Letty was great to work with and stepped up with the cleaning because their janitors didn't clean very well from the event the night before. All in all, it didn't take away from the beautiful ambiance, the amenities, gorgeous lighting, and wonderful customer service! As a professional in the wedding/special events industry we see a lot of venues. The Station has a very unique look that can accommodate a cozier intimate gathering. It's unique look provides our city and events with a nice option. You can theme "rustic" without going outside. Great patio area for overflow or additional entertainment. Seriously such a great venue!! I hosted my friends bridal shower a couple weeks ago! A week prior the other venue I had cancelled on me I called a couple places around town and got no one to answer my call. I asked a few friends for recommendations and The Station was brought up each time. When I called the gals were so sweet and had an opening the day I needed. The shower was beyond perfect. Just had my graduation party at this location for about 80-100 people. Sooooo glad I did! The venue is beautiful and so straightforward and easy to set up. Carla is absolutely lovely and was so attentive and helpful with anything we needed! Every single staff member we communicated with was great! The Station on its own is beautifully decorated, bathrooms are accessible and clean, and the use of space for beverages, coolers, and food set up is so efficient. I love that cleaning is included which made everything so much easier at the end of the day. I'm so glad this venue exists in Bakersfield and it will definitely be first on my list (and all of my guests' lists) when I need a place for my next event! read more

The Station is a wonderful location. I hosted a wedding vendor mixer at their new event venue and was very pleased with everything! The staff was helpful and kind, the location was perfect for all my guests, and the outdoor patio was amazing! They have a waterfall, a back driveway, chandelier lighting inside, two huge drop-down screens for video and slideshow presentations as well as a small kitchen and their furniture is from Restoration Hardware and can be moved around to utilize the space as I wanted! Living out of the area and trying to plan a funeral reception should have been difficult however finding this hidden gem was the answer to our prayers. The staff is incredibly courteous and professional. They went out of their way to help us make our celebration exactly what we envisioned. The decor is beautiful and the available coolers, tables and patio furniture was exactly our style. We set up for about 80 people in the main room but I think it could hold more with room to mingle in the outside patio. We had access for our DJ to connect to sound and were able to project a slideshow on 2 walls. I only wish I lived closer to be able to use this venue for other events. If you're looking for a stylish and classic venue to host an event, this is the place for you. Deciding where to have our wedding was one of the hardest decisions. My husband and I wanted a rustic/barn venue, but had to consider the heat in Bakersfield during the summer. My family and friends just hosted a coed baby shower for me at The Station. And it was absolutely AMAZING! This unique venue has SOOOOO much to offer, and fit the needs of our party perfectly.
