It was a delicious meal, all the proteins were well cooked and it was seasoned perfectly. I ordered it medium and it had just the right amount of heat, I might be able to go up one more heat level if I was feeling adventurous but their medium was just right. The Thai Tea was fantastic as well, you can't really go wrong with Thai Tea. I finished the meal with one of their mango ice cream macaroons and I really enjoyed that as well. It has a very industrial interior. On a busy day the cement floors and high ceilings amply sound so it can be very loud. The decor is not inviting so it's not an environment you want to hang out in long. They do have outdoor seating, but you are right on California Ave so it can be very loud as well. Their tri tip is good on its own, but with the corn, rice, and coleslaw mixed in with it is next level and the flavor always brings me back good times. The vibe inside is super fun. They fully embrace the surfer theme and have surf decorations wall to wall. Their televisions play classic surf trip movies which are fun to watch. Sometimes in the winter they will play snowboard and ski trip videos. Back in my youth, this was one of my favorite parts of the experience.
