We didn't want to leave our special event captured by any random photographer, so we did a lot of research on internet prior to finalizing one. Once we had conversation with Bhavin and checking out his previous work, we knew he was the one. We had telephonic conversation with him and he asked all right questions and made us feel like we had a skilled artist working with us. On the day of event, he arrived right on time (actually a little early so he got himself familiarize with the venue). He was very friendly with everyone and all our guests loved his polite efficiency.The special moments of us and our guests which we might have missed as the host, we were able to see it through Bhavin's lens. Bhavin was great to work with throughout the entire process and very very responsive. We got a few sneak peak pictures almost immediately following our event and the whole gallery followed shortly. We did hear that some photographers make you wait for months to release photos to clients, but Bhavin gave ours within few weeks. The way she captures color is like nothing I have ever seen. Also I am not the most comfortable person in front of a camera but Rebecca made me feel comfortable which for me is very hard. Once I received my photographs I couldn't believe that she captured me in all my silliness and made me look really great. People still comment on her photos that she took and always comment about how amazing they are and they can't believe it's me. Just recently I wanted to have pictures of my Godson taken and there was no question in my mind who I wanted to photography him. The pictures came out beautiful. When I first met my partner, I frequently thought about how nice it would have been if someone was around to capture the sweet, tender and loving moments between the two of us. After years of being together, that has finally happened! We were both a bit nervous about this at first because neither of us have really been part of a photoshoot before. We were wondering if it would feel natural or forced, if we would find the photographer intrusive. But after a few short minutes of talking with Rebecca, we felt that we could be ourselves and navigate the shoot with comfort, ease and excitement which is not only a testament to her talent, but also to her amiability and her ability to connect with people on various levels. Rebecca is an incredibly creative person which is evidenced by the composition of the photos. She took photos of my partner and me in Red Hook, Brooklyn, which hosts an amazing contrast between natural beauty, industrial grittiness and interesting colors. In two hours we took photos in a variety of backgrounds, including the pier by the water, cobblestone roads, old and abandoned subway cars, industrial warehouses and street corners. The result? Amazing. When Rebecca, my partner and I first met, we talked a lot about what kind of feeling and aesthetic we were looking for in our photographs.
