I went on a recommendation from my brother who said they were great. I saw Dr. Sledge. Her hygienist, Theresa, was amazing. She was really friendly and personable. She made me feel really comfortable about being there. Trust me I was a little stressed because it's been a while. I especially liked how she explained what she was going to do, why it was important, and how it impacted the health of my teeth. Then she offered a great plan for treatment that the Dr would confirm. Although less personable and more business oriented, Dr. Sledge was still pleasant to deal with and willing to answer any questions I had. I actually prefer a more "matter of fact" doctor and Theresa more than made me feel welcome. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dentist in the Ridgeland area that will make them feel comfortable and treat them with amazing customer service.

Initially, I had a positive experience. They had plenty of availability and got me in quickly. At my first visit for a consult and cleaning, they offered to fix a cavity on the spot, which I appreciated. However, after completing their treatment plan, I began experiencing pain and discomfort in one of the fillings they had done. I returned to have it adjusted, but two months later, the same filling broke while I was eating. When I went back in pain, they informed me that the tooth was fractured and would likely need a root canal. Instead of addressing the infection risk, they decided to place a crown first to see if a root canal could be avoided. They put on a temporary crown but did not prescribe antibiotics. Within 48 hours, I developed an abscess that spread up my gumline, landing me in the ER for emergency oral surgery to remove the tooth. I sincerely believe the staff are good people, but I didn't feel the level of care was as intentional as it should have been. At the very least, prescribing antibiotics could have prevented my infection from worsening, saving me unnecessary pain and medical expenses. Now, I've spent $500 on a crown I can't use, plus the cost of an ER visit, emergency surgery, and post-op care. If you can avoid coming here, I strongly recommend doing so. If you're someone they choose to prioritize, you might have a better experience--but unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me.

I didn't want I do that and I ended up having 3 more kids as well. So as a mom you just put things off. When I went off my consult I didn't know if I'd actually follow through. I just don't like going to the Dr and especially new ones. I'm 37 years old. Dr. May comes into the room so friendly and just puts you to ease. What an amazing doctor!! So finally had it removed today. As I walked into the room and sat down I thought to myself why am I having this done. I should have just left it. Well, the nurse helping me was so very kind and nice, she put me at ease. She had dark hair and has two daughters. I wish I had of gotte her name. They talked to me while I was being put to sleep. Dr may and the nurses are so kind. I love his personality, he puts you at ease.
