There are 3 pavilions with seating for approximately 100 people…read more The park staff make sure to come by in the morning and afternoon to hose down the pavilion and take out the trash. You must reserve one of the spaces online. Depending on which one and length of time, you could spend as little as $80 for a 4-5 hour time or more for the entire day. The day of the event, the park posts a sign letting everyone know your reservation to ward off any squatters. I liked the Northwest Pavilion the best because there is a small parking lot right next to it (easy for unloading and loading), it's next to the tennis courts, across from the field, and directly against the playground for the kiddos. Also, the bathrooms are conveniently located next to this pavilion and they were really clean. The playground was well kept up and looked like new! It was great to pack all 79 of my family members on and around it for the group photo. Not only does this park have pavilions, but also there are many mature trees which provide plenty of shade or the perfect photo backdrop. This is an ideal park of any gathering!

They've updated some of the playground since last time we were there. There are a lot of tennis courts, bbq pits and covered picnic tables and baseball fields and soccer fields just across the parking lot.

They kept the "castle park" feel (that's what i called it as a kid), but made it more all-abilities friendly. It's well built, cute and fun for all ages. The bathrooms are decent. They have automated flushing toilets and faucets, no mirrors, but functional and open. There are baseball fields across the parking lot as well. Great park.

I "wood-n't" be lying if I said it's lost it's cool and while it has shadows of the past with fun equipment all of it is waaay too hot on a sunny day! My 2 year old tried climbing on the equipment and started to scream when she sat down trying to go down a slide that was waaay too hot! Another young toddler had the same thing happen to her. We arrived at the roughly same time as 3 other family and all of us left within 10 minutes because the equipment was too hot. To some extent I get it's out of anyone's control but there is playground equipment that is less conductive of heat creating a better experience for everyone.

In the excitement of a concert, we often forget the venue. While I have no beef with the performers…read more(The 1975, who were exceptional), I can't totally say the same about the UCCU Center. Known for many moons as the David O. McKay Events Center, there have been changes in recent years to make room the growth of Utah Valley State College to Utah Valley University. The sound was good, and the importance of good sound can't be underemphasized. And, while I'm guessing that The 1975 brought most of their own show, there is something to be said about a medium-sized college arena handling well the unadulterated wattage surge of a 1000-foot video display and multi-colored lighting brought forth by this massively huge British band. I have been on campus over the years for other events such as Wolverine basketball games and the famed Michael Moore speech in 2004. For those type of events, it works decently and as it should. However bands, unless they are performing in "The Round", will find their fans making awkward angles in their chairs. While I was standing most of the time, sitting and seeing required turning myself 90 degrees left in an unswivelable and uncomfortable circa-1980s arena chair. The parking is maybe the worst I've seen at a concert. No UVU staff managing the traffic; we spent 30 minutes trying to get out, but not moving. This element I give an "F" ... hell, I'll give it a "Z-". Utterly and completely unacceptable. If you want to play with the big boys, UVU, start acting like it. In the end, the concert was great, and I'm sure there will also be great events like this in the future.

It was really hot inside. Once we sat down we were dying of water. My sister saved our seats while I went to get water. I asked an employee where the concession stands were and they only had one that was open which was clear on the other side of the building. Once I got the concession stand the was so dang long since that was the only concession stand open. They had a few vending machines around with water bottles in them that I wanted to use because I didn't want to wait in the long concession line. All the vending machines were turned off. So I had no choice but to stand in line. I waited probably about 45 minutes to 1 hour. I missed the whole opening act. They had 1 freaking person so the register!! I could t get over it. They weren't selling any water bottles, they said they are only doing cups of water. They had bottle waters in the fridge but weren't selling any. They said people throw them up on stage which I don't get because anyone could throw a big cup of water on stage too. The big cups of water were more expensive than the bottle waters too. Of course. They were $4 for each cup of water. They didn't even out ice in the water. It was the worst. Why would t you have more than one concessions open?? Why wouldn't they have their vending machines on?? Why wouldn't you have more than 1 person doing the register?? It was the worst!!

It's incredibly convenient that it's right by the Orem Public Library as well! We can go grab a few books for the week and then run around at the park right after! In addition, I love the two distinct parks that are there. There is one for older kids and then this park has a whole section for younger children called the "Tot Lot". The slides, swings, see-saw and all the interaction sections are aimed at a younger crowd. I love the distinction, but my five year old still enjoys running over and playing in this area as well. They have also thoughtfully created shaded areas for the parents to stand under. One by the main playground and then another by the swings. I adore a park with intentional spots of shade! I particularly like the variety of park "obstacles" here. To list a few, there are two different zip lines, four slides at the "big kid park", one slide at the Tot Lot area, a climbing wall, a little merry-go-round, musical instrument area for both parks, monkey bars and obstacles at different heights and so much more. The intention for this park to span age groups was achieved!!! So many things for kids of all ages to explore and play with. We love this park and would recommend to anyone!
