I later enrolled him in her daycare full time because I loved them so much. He was 3 when he started going there and I was so sad when he turned 5 and started going to school because I wouldn't get to see the wonderful people every morning and evening. I love Way to Grow and plan to enroll my 4 month old soon!

My husband and I are first time parents- and as to be expected nervous. I told her that some days I get clients moved and my schedule might move around- per her words, "No worries- we will accommodate." She reassured me multiple times that she was flexible and could make this work. I always want to be fair and honest. The day my husband dropped off supplies (wipes, diapers) he said the place looked run down and smelled quite bad. He noticed that there was a rug that was torn and appeared to be a safety hazard. He called me on his way home and discussed his concerns with me. We were concerned, but felt that the smell was due to the children. He then called Kerriann to ask about the cleaning protocols and why the staff didn't wear masks. I feel that is an appropriate question during a pandemic. He said she got defensive immediately and said that per Utah state law her staff does not have to wear mask. He said he understood and ended the conversation. The next morning my husband dropped my son off. He went into the lobby and there was a woman cleaning. He didn't know if this was a staff member or who she was- he asked her for some sort of identification. She showed him her driver's license and also pointed to the board (they have pictures on a board). My husband being cautious- asked if she had an employee badge- she said she did not but the director would be there shortly. My husband waited and then dropped off our son. My husband called at around 1 pm to check on our son since it was his first day. The director Kerriann spent about 5 minutes on the phone telling my husband that our son wanted to be held often. My husband asked if he was crying excessively- she denied this. I came to the facility to pick him up and was greeted by a woman. I told her my son's name and that I was his mother. She then said, "Do you know where he is?" My heart dropped and I told her I believe he was at the day care. I was absolutely astounded by the lack of professionalism and how she asked me if I knew where my son was. That would worry most mothers She then went back and about 5 minutes late the director came out with my son dripping in drool. We discussed how my son did and she reported, "Well he wanted to be held a lot." I explained that he is seven months old and this is his first day away from home. She was very cold and seemed to be bothered by my child. She then told me, "Its not going to work out." I was in shock and asked her what occurred. She told me my husband was aggressive with the staff in the morning demanding IDs and that we seemed too anxious. My mind was spinning and I didn't know what to say. I left feeling horrible and concerned. She focused on my husband's actions. I sat in my car upset and trying to figure out what WE did to get 'kicked out.' My husband called her and then she blamed it on me and my lack of communication. I am a master educated therapist who is specifically trained in organizational communication- I was astounded. She told me multiple times that she would work with my schedule. This was one day of care- and my husband was off by one hour. I just stood still in shock. I felt she was pinning my husband and I against each other. She also told my husband- we were too anxious. I am sorry but we are first time parents dropping our child off for the first time. I have now spoken to numerous owners of day cares in the Utah county area who are HORRIFIED at how she treated us along with leaving us strained for childcare. I feel personally this woman Kerriann is unwell and got a better offer for another family. I am so grateful that we found a safe environment for our son especially after digging a bit further into this facility. I am writing this in hopes of preventing another family from the damage of Way to Grow and the destruction of Kerriann. I am also filing a report. Do not use this place- it is dangerous the way she handled our family. kidswaytogrow.com
