Nice Park. On the East Side is a skatepark, tennis court, and playground for the kids…read more The center of the park has four ball diamonds facing outward. It is also used for soccer later in the year. The diamonds were build in 2005, along with the park being replanted. Trees are just now getting high enough to provide shade, and it is well kept up. The playground is cleaned pretty regular and there are a few tables for people to sit and enjoy. However if you are planning anything you will need to being anything more. The skate park has its own review page so i will not get into it here. Tennis courts are a wreck. There are better ones at the high school, and these are just kind of falling apart. Yet they still work even if the fences are falling apart. They need to be resurfaced, and repaired. Lights, there are none. So once dark hits baseball is over. They are fields for little league. The tennis lights are slowly falling apart, and do not work anymore. I will mention a few things in regard to the skate park. There is a lot of trash, shirts, and other junk left by the kids there. It blows through the park on windy days. It is also closed during school hours, and at dusk. So the police will come and lock it up. Sadly the remodel did not put a sidewalk in around the park. Be carefull if you are walking/riding around the park. I have seen too many kids and other almost get run over by cars backing out. The bathrooms in the middle suffer from to many vandals. So it is usually a last resort bathroom. Too much damage to windows. I wanted to give a better rating, but there is just too much damage to the buildings, and trash to warrant giving more.. It most likely is a 3.5 but it just does not seem to warrant a 4. Pros: Nice for Baseball, good condition Cons: Trash from skate park, Ghetto tennis courts, dangerous to ride around with crowds.

It was so convenient for the ones with kids. We could play and watch our kids at the same time. Not all parks have the playgrounds right next to the courts. Loved it here!! Hey, I know-but I'm a mature landscape snob. No shade to new development, but the bigger trees tug at my heart. Yes, pun intended. Good catch. Rotary Park has some solid, large trees. These suckers provide ample shade and enough beauty to be the backdrop to any family picnic. I'm not sure they'd be good for climbing, sorry kids. The limbs are so high up that you'd need a ladder to get up there. Let's not try that, mmmkay? In addition to trees, there's a nice playground, a large pavilion with tables and a few rec courts for basketball, etc. You can spend an afternoon here easily.

There was really no one there when I got there on a late weekday afternoon. I have a special place in my heart for baseball fields 'cause they remind me of the old days of when I used to play. This park in general is quite big, and I dig the huge trees and living grass (hey, it's worth mentioning!) There's a playground for kiddos and some bathrooms, but not sure if they're open. There is a skatepark + smaller park down the road a bit, too, which is nice if you wanna switch it up.
