TAC is located in a small plaza next to a McDonalds (ironic I know), and looks deceivingly small from the outside. Upon entering you have to swipe your membership card at the front desk. They have a co-ed weight room right next to the front desk and a women's only cardio and weight area towards the back. The women's weight area is huge. Every time I've been it's been nearly empty, which is great if you need certain machines. They also have boxing bags and mitts, which I'm a huge fan of. They also have separate areas for classes -- a spin room, yoga room and aerobics room. Their locker rooms are clean, with full changing rooms, showers, lockers and towels. They also have a hair dryer and hair products if you need them. You'll need to bring your own lock or you can leave your stuff in a locker lock-less, I just wouldn't leave anything valuable in there. They have everything I need here all for $35/month (classes are additional). I'm a happy camper. If you're looking for a decently priced gym with great classes, come to TAC.

Not only do I have a bad taste in my mouth in regards to TAC, but I actually had to report them to mastercard! eek. Rewind back to November; a friend had given me a pass for TAC that was good until February 12th. When I was in the gym January 21st; and I tried to inquire about a membership; Marie (club manager) told me that "you must sign up right now for the best possible deal" and all that crap. If the price was so special then why did my sister pay the same price a year ago? When I signed up, I had to pay 69$ (the first and last month of the contract and a service charge), I was told that I wouldnt be charged for the month of February until my current trial membership had expired. Well low and behold, on the 1st of february I was charged another 74$, so livid, I went into the club to speak with them. I ended my contract after arguement (being that I am 18 I cannot be legally bound to a contract), I was then told I would not be refunded due to the fact I was outside of their 14 day grace period (by 2 days). I have emailed their corporate, and their corporate contact persons and not one person has bothered to respond. They have peeved quite a few other residents too. I would not reccomend going here, unless you want to be grossly overcharged and treated like crap.

Delegated training is 1 on 1, not partner training though. Pilates also counts too!

I signed up for the one class and ended up taking 4! It's hard but short and sweet. The movements are hard and the choreography is detailed but the instructors were all incredibly kind and patient. They lead by demonstrating the movements but then they also come around and correct you. My first instructor even asked if it was ok if she did so - which was different but also amazing. The classes were all different and extremely engaging. After my week of barre, I was hooked! I highly recommend you trying out this place! It's a nice addition to your workout routine. That being said, I liked that this studio requires headphones so everyone is focused on their own form. It is also a slightly bigger class size (max 16) compared to other reformer pilates class but that doesn't take away the instructors focus on their students! Lagree focus more on toning and endurance so you'll feel yourself growing stronger but not necessarily growing muscles like you're weight training. It is also a lot of core work I love Kiki and Bouse's classes the most, Kiki is super attentive to her students and remembers them by name. She also adds variations so you can pick your own difficulty level to do. Bouse's leg section are a KILLER, it always hurts to walk the next day haha

Kim Kirstiuk is the main instructor and owner of this franchise and she is an excellent trainer. She pushes you, motivates you, varies exercises so it's never boring and makes you work every muscle. After the first class, I literally could not get out of bed the next day. But it's nice to know that those muscles all still work and exist in my body! In addition to making boot campers work really hard, Kim is also very sweet and it's really easy to feel included in the whole group no matter what your fitness level is. And talking about added value to your workout, Kim also writes a weekly blog about fitness tips, additional exercises, stretches, healthy recipes. She even sent out a diet plan put together by a nutritionist (I believe). Lastly, what I really love about this boot camp is that it's quite flexible for my ever changing and busy schedule. I've signed up for the morning classes. However, if I miss one, I love to know that I can always make it up by going to the evening class. This is something really important to me, because as a student, my schedule is always crazy.
