Based on this, I'm highly recommending this Mt Eden barber shop. New Way Barbers is in the 8 Nugent complex and must already get a lot of patronage from local businessmen and from the gym across the way. Based on the handsome new look Bald Eagles from the Shave for a Cure event, I can also imagine men come from far and wide to use their services. The barber shop has a masculine feel, it's a place where a guy would feel comfortable getting a haircut. They are obviously Mohamed Ali fans because there is a lot of the famous boxers photography displayed on the walls. They have all of the essential guy hair products top.

Located up in the 255 mall that you probably didn't know even exists is where The Stylish Man is located. There is a sign on Broadway, one of those old fashioned swirled red, blue and white ones. The space is large, wood floors, high ceiling and a fantastic view of Broadway. The chairs are the really old fashioned ones like in Sweeney Todd but there is no Johnny Depp, but you do get a really nice Asian lady who is talkative and friendly and who cuts hair well and not your throat like in Sweeney Todd. If you are waiting like I was you get a nice wooden bench seat with a stack of magazines such as GQ, Vogue and FHM, good reading. If you didn't have an appointment, no problem, they'll just fit you in as soon as there is space available, so you could quite possibly get a walk in. They stock a good range of product too and I thought overall, the service and the space was great. My friend has made it his regular.

The haircut itself is a work of pride and care. They go into the deepest detail to make sure no stray hair is standing up anywhere. Towards the end, they'll use a switch-blade razor for the edges. A lighter to get rid of hair around your ear without hurting you and then a hot towel for your face and neck. They provide other services as well as shoe-shining.
