I started my first Pilates class EVER at The Sweat Barre and from that day on, I knew I was going to be a lifetime Pilates enthusiast for fitness, strength, mobility, flexibility, tone, posture, and even mental attitude. I started the first 5 classes with Holly who was so encouraging, supportive, and friendly, and the studio has such a great vibe. When I had to leave to go out of town for the summer, I determined that I would follow Joseph Pilates' guidelines: "In 10 sessions, you will feel the difference, in 20, you will see the difference, and in 30, you will be on the way to having a whole new body." I got all the way up to the 29th session at few other studios on the West Coast, and I could not wait to come back to the Sweat Barre to do my 30th with Holly! It is all true! I started working out again a couple of months ago and realized I had sort of hit a wall and felt I needed something more and boy did I. I had taken Pilates years ago and loved it but the class fell part and I couldn't find one that fit my schedule and that i liked. Thanks to the Sweat Barre and Holly I now feel stronger, I'm getting a fantastic workout and loving every class. I love Sweat Barre! I decided to try it out after seeing my girlfriend post how much she loves the studio. I practiced hot yoga before, but never Pilates. I was addicted after my the first class! I cannot believe the changes I have seen in my body is the last two months. I have lost inches and lbs. The change to my midsection is the most noticeable, followed by much more toned arms and legs. Which is crazy because I was doing HIIT almost everyday! More importantly, my lower back pain is almost nonexistent! I can't believe how much better I feel. Beautiful, immaculate and fun!!! What can I say, Sweat Barre has become my new obsession. Being an athletic person all my life from boxing, to boot camps to yoga, Pilates and whatever else I could fit into my schedule to get my sweat on. I had taken pilates a couple of years ago and i loved it, it was only mat but it was a great experience and i always wanted to go back but i needed to find something closer to home. I have been working out at the gym and running but felt I still needed more. Then I found the Sweat Barre and after the first class I realized I did need more. I get more out of these reformer classes with Holly then what i was doing before and I am so happy! She is awesome!! Holly is an amazing Pilates Instructor and person! She knows her stuff! After less than 2 weeks, I noticed a huge change in my strength, fitness, and body. Any kind of fitness class is always a gamble for me because I have herniated discs and shoulder issues - Holly took care to always provide modifications for me and pay attention to my needs, while still challenging me. I had never taken Pilates before, and find the classes to be a great way to get in shape, strengthen, tone, stretch, and have fun while doing it. Holly is a great instructor, explains the exercises, describes how to perform them at different levels and with proper form. I have occasional lower back pain, and she will let me know if I should modify. The jump board sweat camp class offer a more cardio workout along with Pilates. The location is also perfect in Downtown Delray. read more

If you want to get yourself in shape, fix your posture and elongate your spine, sweat barre Pilates is the way to go. I am a NYC transplant and was worried I would not find a good studio in Delray, until Sweat Barre opened around two years ago. Holly the owner and instructor is very knowledgeable and has great classes. I especially like the sweat camp Pilates class which is jumpboard Pilates, a mixture of cardio and Pilates.
