Yum!! The cookies were delicious and the shop is so cute. I have been wanting to stop in for awhile now and just made it by today with my teenage daughter. They have an adorable little shop with items made by local crafters, a private room for parties or scheduled cookie making/decorating classes, and a refrigerator full of all types of cookies including dough to take home and eat/cook, frosting. Some fun drinks and fresh basked cookies - Three types they always have and three that rotate. We got to try a sample of the red velvet cookie with white chocolate chips they were trialing for Valentine's day and they were yummy. Stopped in for the first time to this adorable cookie shop. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the cookies. I opted for the basic chocolate chip but there was nothing basic about. A hearty giant size cookies full of chocolate chips. It was the perfect tender cookie on the inside slight chew on the outside but holds its weight. Yes they are more than your typical store bought cookie but they were delicious and a great treat. The store has an adorable meet room where locals can host their own event and they help promote local artist and have a spot for selling their goods. So far so good! Great customer service. I loved the decor and layout of the bakery. I did not get to enjoy a cake as I'd have to order ahead but the butter cookies I had were yummy! I will go on record and admit that I do enjoy a delicious cookie or two from the famous cookie chain, Crumbl. However, if there is a local business that makes what Crumbl makes, I will always support them more. Case and point: The Sweet Heartist. Not only are they local in the Space Coast, but I will even say their cookies are often times better than Crumbl. The Sweet Heartist is a small bakery located next to a Chinese massage parlor on Wickham Rd. (yep, you heard that right). Though cookies are their specialty, they also do cakes and other sweet bakery treats. Don't get me wrong though, the star are their cookies. Usually, The Sweet Heartist will have six cookies available for the week. Three are basic, yet popular flavors, which are often times chocolate chip, sugar, and snickerdoodle. Their premium flavors change but from what is discerned on their social media presence, their lemon cookies are the most popular. They also have a selection of grab-n-go cookies including gluten-free options, multipacks, brownies, and drinks. What I really like about The Sweet Heartist, however, is their support of local businesses. First and foremost, they have other locations sell their bakery goods. I believe just recently, the famous Hotel Melby in Historic Downtown Melbourne is now selling their goods. Secondly, they sell and promote products of other independent businesses in their store including Galaxy Macarons, B's and Beans Bakery's cheesecakes, and cinnamon buns from Harvest Thyme Kitchen. Prices are fair when you compare them to prices of cookie chains that sell product that is similar. Service is very good as in friendly and efficient. Not to mention, Crystal, the head baker and owner, is - you guessed it - a sweetheart. Ultimately, I am so happy there is a mom-n-pop alternative locally whe it comes to gourmet cookies. Like I said, Crumbl, is delicious, however, I like supporting my fellow neighbors and the community. Stop on by and let Crystal know that Jan sent you. This is a very small and cute shop that's hidden. The dark chocolate peanut butter cookie is BOMB!!! it's the best, along with their original cookie. Actually all their cookies are super delicious. They were also generous with cookie samples. They also sell little things from other local vendors which is a plus. We will definitely be back when we visit. read more

If you are in customer service and you sell baked goods at an upscale price you should educate your employees to make it a priority to greet every customer that comes in. I waited 10 minutes as I walked through the store location in Suntree by Publix before I walked out the door and made sure to tell the blonde woman that it's uncommon it our local neighbor in Suntree not to welcome people and greet them. For that alone I don't care about anyone's opinion is on these overpriced cookies I will continue to support other local restaurants who are personable and have no excuses on how to make customers feel welcomed. I first tried The Sweet Heartist Gluten Free Oatmeal Cream Pie cookie at Apocalypse Coffee and it CHANGED. MY. LIFE. And I'm not a foodie type of person- at all. I have a lot of food allergies and stomach issues so eating is usually more of a chore than anything else. I saved the wrapper when I saw they were local and looked them up online and was thrilled they had a brick and mortar location. A few weeks have gone by and that cookie was still living rent free in my head. Today my son and I went into the bakery and picked out several cookies - including the magical GF Oatmeal Cream Pie. I would marry this cookie if I could. My son tried the Funfetti (he's not GF) and said it's the best cookie he's ever tasted - yes, WAY better than Crumbl.
