We have been coming to Around The World Cafe for years whenever we visit the area. It remains one of our favorite restaurant experiences across the country. It can get a little busy and sometimes your order does not come out exactly as you asked for it. However, that is part of the charm. The food is excellent, fresh, and feels like you're eating at home. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Sometimes you are treated to live music. Been years since we visited. We were sat by a very enthusiastic young man. Grabbed a table by the window and ordered an iced mocha latte. It was very sweet albeit with plenty of caffeine. :) The staff were very engaging. Almost to a fault. Sometimes a little space is nice. Food came out and it was very good. No condiments used. They have a pepper "salsa" on their roasted tomato that was very good. My omelette was large and very good. Very well balanced ingredients ratio. The two egg breakfast was also very large and well done. As we finished up the owner started playing guitar. Electric acoustic version. A little loud. So we let him know as did another two top. Whoa that went over like a lead ballon. If he had lost the amp it probably would have been pleasant. Pretty pricy but I do think it was a good value. Staff needs to turn it down a notch or two on "how is it" questions. read more

**INITIAL REVIEW** As I continue to search for amazing breakfast/brunch restaurants within the Space Coast, this restaurant was recommended to me by, believe it or not, the Yelp algorithm itself. I already hit up the majority of breakfast/brunch restaurants recommended by my fellow elites, why not see what the mathematical mind within the app has to say, right? It is not like it is AI right? Along with my adventuring sidekick Paula, we went to Around the World Cafe Bakery (which I will shorthand simply to Around the World for the remainder of this review), in hopes of trying different kinds of food from... well... around the world. It is in the name right? Now I get a place with such a name won't have ALL the food from around the food, but they do have a fantastic selection from many countries around the world, specifically Europe. Let me tell you, this was such an experience, it may actually get one of my rare "five star ratings on the initial visit" reviews. What am I saying, of course Around the World is getting such a rating. Let me give you deets why. For starters, Around the World is located in a dinky strip mall on the southside of US-192. There is parking on that road itself, but it is parallel parking heading eastward. There more parking in the "back of the store" accessible through 6th Ave. The ambiance and seating definitely has this European feel to it. Take note of the eastern shelf featuring numerous knick-knacks from around the world, specifcally Europe. Almost all of them are for sale, too. As for the food, it too has a worldly, specifically European flair. Some of their delectable wares include both omelettes and crepes cooked with the ingredients of a specific country in mind. For example, the Greek omelette has spinach, feta, mozerella, and tomato. The Norwegian crepe has smoked wild salmon, yogurt dressing, green onion, and cucumber. Let's not forget the bakery that includes French macaroons, Napoleon cakes, stuffed French toast, and much more. All this food is made even better by the fair market prices around $15 average per item, the family-feel the mom n' pop restaurant provides (as I think it is family-owned, too), and the fact the owner/head chef, Iggy Miro, will sometimes play romantic guitar for his guests. On a sidenote, there is only one unisex restroom. I can see it becoming dirty given how busy it gets, but that is more situational given it is only one. Ultimately, this initial visit was so good, it surpassed everything I expected. Usually I would give an initial visit that is good just four stars, but with all the extra I did not expect for such a place, they definitely make an impact for me to go all the way on the rating. I will definitely be back to eat more of their wares, especially the sweets in the bakery case. read more

I am actually surprised i didn't rate this place before . Their service is impeccable, friendly, semi-fast, always correct. Their food is also very good but i would stick to their speciality, which is water European dishes and some Asian dishes too. We tried the salads and i was not impressed, however everything from pierogis and soups to salted vegetables, crepes, sausages, everything is exceptional and it tastes like home. Overall very relaxed ambiance, gears service and food. You might just wait a second to get your food but it's worth it for sure. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that. read more

Stopped in to grab a to-go order, but if you can eat in definitely do so! It's a great location, cute cafe, great food and great service. I got the #6 Joanne's crepe and my husband got the veggie omelette. Both were so good... mine was so good in fact, I forgot to let him taste it. This visit was a referral. We drive a long way to check this place out. The entrance was cute, lots to look inside, and a very nice man welcomed us and sat us down. We came for desserts! We started with ice teas that he makes and it was the best one I've had at any restaurant! For dessert, we had the cannoli and the chocolate mousse. Home made! His wife makes them. Absolutely delicious! The best cannoli we've had! He even played some Bossa Nova upon learning it was from Brasil! We really enjoyed our visit, the restaurant and the food. We walked in and went to the counter. We were politely greeted by Ana. She sat us at a table, gave us menu's, and asked us if we knew what we wanted to drink. They had a nice gentleman playing a guitar in the front corner. We later found out it was the owner named Iggy. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Ana took our order and even made some suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were seasoned nicely. A great place for worldly food. This cafe and bakery is located at 119 5th Ave in Indialantic, Florida, right off SR 192 ( 5th Ave as it runs east toward the beach). It is easy to spot in a row of shops on teh south side of teh road leading toward the beach. Parking is available in the back behind the restaurant, with entrance from the front or back door. Street parking is also an option nearby, though it can fill up on busier days.It was not busy when we visited, making it relaxed and pleasant. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming, with a display case of delicious fresh-baked treats (pastries, cakes, and desserts) greeting you as you enter. Everything looks tempting. There's plenty of room between tables for comfortable seating, and the atmosphere is cozy with a European feel. The waiter/owner was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and full of great suggestions. We ordered a cheese and berries crepe and an egg dish. Both were unique, flavorful, delicious, and were served in large portions. They offer hearty breakfasts, crepes, omelets, soups, salads, and bakery items (many vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options too). Prices are a little higher ($15-25 per dish), but the quality, portions, and experience make it well worth it. It was Christmas morning when I saw the sign out front saying the cafe was open and immediately pulled into the back lot for breakfast. Upon entering I was greeted by a really friendly gentleman I presume was the owner. I was told to sit anywhere I liked so I sat at a table at the front window and looked around at this charming place. Colorful cups and mugs were on display as were display cases filled with amazing looking baked goods that appeared to be made in house by a very talented baker. The atmosphere was positively upbeat yet quaint. I was told I could order anything on the menu whether breakfast or lunch so I ordered a coffee which came appropriately in a Christmas mug and one of the many perogie choices, I chose the traditional potato and onion in a homemade mushroom gravy. Also featured was a nice selection of crepes both sweet and savory and many types of egg choices, we chose to try eggs bacon, potatoes and fresh baked bread. Everything we ate was delicious only to be out done by the service which was extremely attentive, (perhaps too attentive if thats possible), by who I believe was the owner and his wife. read more

I enjoy finding small café restaurants, and this was a gem. Went there for breakfast on Thursday morning and the the Roy's omelette with smoked salmon and it was really good. The coffee was excellent and a nice touch of frothed milk. The ambience was perfect with classical Music. In the corner was a space for musicians to play but the best part was when the owner played his guitar. He was amazing. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area next time. read more

It's been a while since we have been here and unfortunately we didn't like it as well this time. Still a very interesting menu. I ordered the Brie and crab crepes. But I sent it back because in my opinion there was an ammonia whiff to the crab. I actually spit out a bite into my napkin. The host came out to say it was a new "jar" of crab and he felt there was no problem. Maybe I just have a sensitive nose but I've been eating fish, crab, etc for many years. I can only remember one other time I had to send back a dish and it was for the same reason. An ammonia smell. At any rate after trying to convince me it was fine, he did rustle up a very nice Greek omelette which was delicious. The other reason for only 3 stars this time is that I thought the pricing was high. The service was very slow after being greeted quite nicely by the waiter, the waiter Than disappeared for 20 minutes. We had to go get the waiter to come out and take our orders. The waiter then took our orders didn't write anything down. I specifically told him no tomato mine as I'm allergic to tomato and of course it came out with tomato on my plate. Secondly, I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out as hard as hard boiled eggs. The waiter never came back outside so we could not say anything to him. They never came out to refill our waters. Or ask if the food was OK. finally after no one came back out I took my plate inside so we could pay and check out and I told the owner what the issue was I said about the eggs he said what do you want me to do about it you should've said something. I told him I couldn't say anything because nobody ever returned to our table. He eventually gave me a dollar off my bill even though all I ate all I got was two red potatoes cut in half and three pieces of Oscar Meyer, ready, bacon I will not be returning to this place ever. read more

The food is homemade and full of intention. I had the smoked salmon crepes, and they were incredible--delicate, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had (even after a few trips to France!). My friend had the red bean and cilantro salad and loved the sweet-savory combo so much she asked for the recipe. My mom ordered the Greek omelet, loved it, and brought leftovers home. The food was amazing. Probably the best breakfast food we've had in the area. The owner is Ukrainian and his wife is Lithuanian, they combine their backgrounds to make amazing dishes. He took time with us and explained the menu and also showed us what their different dishes looked like. They also have over 50 different fresh bakery items. The service was very welcoming, the owner treated and welcomed each person individually. The ambiance is very laid back and casual. I received a gift certificate for Christmas. I had no idea this restaurant existed until the intern on my team shared this location and certificate with me. I also realized my friend lived right around the corner. The food was excellent! My Hubbs, friend and I decided to give it a try. My friend had the pierogies, and I had the apple, Brie and apple crepes. The owner played music between rushes. We stayed for a while and had the best time. They have fresh baked goods too. Originally I loved this cafe and I'm always rooting for smaller shops. Some friends were in town and we thought maybe we could bring our guests there and let them have a taste of 'home' while in town with us. They were very sadly disappointed. I know sometimes we have our off days so I typically try to wait a couple visits before making a judgement. I can't though with how upset my guests returned to me and how they were treated. My guests and husband are all Belarusian, Ukrainian or Russian. They said the food was missing important key ingredients. They weren't told or given the option to choose a different meal. Weren't warned about the missing items. They were just presented the meals as if nothing was wrong. When confronted about it they said it was like an episode of Nightmare Kitchens with the arguing and never taking accountability. The bill came to 250. None of it was corrected, comped, apologized for. Please, if you're going there to taste Ukrainian food don't let this be your only try. It is not representative to the kind, beautiful, hospitable people that I know or the really great food that they make. Maybe in the somewhat far future I'll try them again and hope for better but I'm really hesitant to even do that. :( read more

We visited this establishment with family as we were visiting from out of town. I had no idea what to expect. Upon entering we were greeted by a young man (Constantine) with some impressive manners and very well spoken. We were a party of 5 and were promptly seated. The service was nothing less than exceptional...Thank you Constantine. I'm assuming it was dad that also assisted who was also very kind. The kindness was both refreshing and exceeded any expectation we could have ever had. Typically when we visit we stay in our general area. We will be sure to venture out to this restaurant to try more menu items. On this trip my boyfriend had the pierogies, I had 1/2 portion of Ronnie's salad and the rest of our party devoured various crepes.
