I brought 3 items over a month ago that each needed a new waistband. Was told several times that they weren't ready yet because she needed to order something specific. I stopped by last week and she said they still weren't ready, but I could come back in an hour. I went today and one pair of pants was made too tight and I can't wear them now. She tried to give me someone else's pair of pants, but thankfully when I described my pair she was able to find them. They still weren't done yet, which is ok because I'm glad she didn't make them too small like the other pair. I took them with me and will go somewhere else to repair (there are 2 big cuts where the waistband was removed but not replaced). The 3rd item (a skirt) is a little tight but I can probably wear it. read more

There is nothing worse than spending time and money for a tailored product, to then find it incorrect. I felt so fortunate to find Tailors Studio and have only used her still today. I can honestly say...I NEVER worry about my clothing no matter how extreme of work needed. She has always given me a fair price, will meet my deadline, and even throws in some extras. There is no pressure at her shop and she is a delight to work with, whether a simple Hem or Total Overhaul. I was resigned to buy a Tux for an important Gala which was a little tight and she did miracles: adjusting shoulder pads, Bringing out the Back, and contouring. She absolutely saved the day. If you want something specific, let her know exactly what you want. If it is a rush, let her know that up front too. These ladies do a wonderful job. I came in on Monday with a new wedding dress needed to be done same day and they did everything to make it fit. They called a few times to follow up on certain pieces and even went to buy a new zipper for me. They kept their word and helped me a lot. read more

I can't believe this place has such a high rating, it was why I chose this business. I'm extremely upset. I took my dress in on 7/23, and was told it would be ready by 7/30, and in writing. I showed up at 4pm, since I wasn't given a specific time. I showed up and was told it wasn't ready. I wasn't contacted to be told it wouldn't be ready, no customer service at all. She tells me it'll be ready by 6pm, but I'm already here and don't want to be here twice in one day. I come back Saturday 7/31 at 3:45pm and the dress STILL isn't ready. Not to mention while I'm sitting here waiting for my dress since it's already late - more customers pile in asking when their stuff is going to be ready. Her hours are inconsistent, and she'll sit there and gladly lie to your face and make you feel like you're in the wrong. She clearly struggles to run a business. If you're keen on people keeping their word and actual customer service, don't go here and take your money elsewhere, you'll be much happier with it. read more

Ok, I agree with the previous review, this is cheap. But you get what you pay for. Strike #1: The first time I went, they lost/forgot about my order, and made me come back the next day. Strike #2: One of the pants that I asked to be hemmed, came apart COMPLETELY at the hem within a day. And this was on a thin dress pant material which is an easier hem. Strike #3: Another pair of pants, which I've had for about 2 months just came apart at the hem too. Again, a thin dress pant material. Normally I don't like attacking small business owners. But I feel like 3 messups is a bit much considering I've only had 5 things hemmed. Especially on such simple orders. I wouldn't go unless you want to risk getting crappy tailoring. read more

I bought a new suit at Macy's and they had to send the trousers to me from another store. Instead of taking them back to Macy's for alteration, I took them to a local tailor. This was my first experience with a tailor. The seamstress performed adjustments to the cuff and seat, and the results are great. I only gave four stars because the price of the alteration was about $10 more than I expected. Then again, I don't know how much it costs to run that business in that location. I would recommend this place for your tailoring needs. read more

Let me preface this by saying that until this year, I've never gotten anything professionally altered. This year, I had my wedding and I was also the maid of honor in my friend's wedding. I had my wedding dress altered in Iowa and it was a nightmare. With that being said, I was not looking forward to having my bridesmaid's dress altered. The dress was huge and balloon-y so I had no choice but to take it in. A friend had recommended The Tailors Studio, as she had taken items there and had been pleased. An added plus is that Voula has done alterations for pageants and has several signed "thank you" pictures to prove it. I went in and Voula pinned me in the exact places I would have pinned myself - it was like she was in my head! I wanted her to take some length off as well, and she got the hem perfect. I went to pick up the dress and it fit like a glove! No more balloon dress; I had my shape back! The price was a little steep, but not bad considering that she had to take apart the entire dress, take 2 inches in, and sew it back up. I examined the stitching and couldn't even tell - the pockets were even sewn back in and looked original! read more

I love this tailor. Wonnie K is correct, sometimes Voula will misplace things, and sometimes run a little late. As a customer for three years I now take that into account - if I need something done in a rush I make that clear, and I call ahead to make sure things are ready when I need them. I am still a customer, and a big fan, because they always do a terrific job for me and my family. She finds things right away, she listens, and they all work very hard. I recently lost some weight and she does a great job making my clothes look custom. I highly recommend The Tailors Studio. read more

Voula is amazing. The place can be slightly disorganized and you have to be patient, as you might not have a 24 hour turnaround, but as far as the work, Voula does the best. I have had probably close to 100 items tailored by Voula because I am short and have to have everything hemmed. She has done incredible work. She has also taken things that were like 8 sizes too big (I buy stuff when it's on super-sale no matter the size) and things that were 3 sizes too small and made them work. She's fixed our stuffed animals, children's clothing, dresses, pants, shirts, backpacks, zippers, blankets, hats, the list goes on. Love Voula and the Tailors Studio. read more

I recently took two pairs of pants to The Tailor's Studio to have them taken in. I took them in on a Saturday and asked if they could have them ready for the following Tuesday. They said they would have them ready for me. I went in that Tuesday and my pants were not ready so they told me to come back in an hour. So I went back the second time and they still weren't done. So they told me to come back right before they closed that night. I needed one of the pair of pants for a job interview the next day on Wednesday which is why it was so important I got my pants done. So I went in a third time and got my pants. I didn't try on the pants when I got home which was my mistake. Wednesday morning I went to put on the pair of pants that I wanted to wear for my job interview and they were NOT done!!! I had to pin them to make them fit me!!! So I had to go to my job interview with pants pined! Immediately after my interview I took the pants back in on Wednesday a fourth time and they told me they would be ready on Saturday. So I went in on Saturday at 11:00am and was told they were not ready. They said they would be ready soon. So I called them at Noon and she said they were ready. I was so frustrated when I went in for the fifth time. She gave me my pants and I went home. When I got home I did several things around the house before I tried the pants on. When I tried them on they were the WRONG PANTS!!! They looked just like my pants but were NOT my pants. So I called and they said they were sorry and to come back in (for the sixth time) to get my pants. I went in and finally got my pants after making 6 trips in!!! The strange thing is on one of my trips in there was a mom in there with her son getting his pants fitted and the mom and son said both said that the pants that the son was trying on to be altered were not his black pants. The ones the Tailor gave him to try on that were supposed to be his pants were a dark blue, not his black pants. I didn't think anything of it until after my awful experience. The mom and son both kept saying that wasn't their pants that they brought in. People all I can tell you is that I will NEVER go back to this place ever again!!! They don't know what they are doing and are not reliable. So be for warned!!! Do not go here unless you want problems. I just can't believe what I went through, just awful!!! read more

I first went to this tailor shop last summer with two dresses that needed alterations and I was pleased with the work (although I felt the cost was a bit high). Voula is a lovely person and I felt she had a sense of respect for the sometimes special garments that she was trusted with. I returned in early December with an evening gown I planned to wear in early January. The dress only needed a spaghetti strap repaired and I wanted to add a slit in the front center. While trying it on for her, she said that most people want thigh high slits on the side now, but I wanted a knee high slit in the center and that is what I asked for. The dress was a classic Ralph Lauren blue velvet gown that I hoped to wear for years to come. I picked up my dress and tried it on at home a couple of days later and I was shocked. The slit she made in the dress was not in the center or on the side - it was partially over one leg. It looked stupid, was poorly done, and the lining was messed up. I returned with the dress on a day that Voula was not there and showed her seamstress Angela what was wrong, trying it on again for her. She tried to assure me she could correct it but then complained about the dress itself. She told me the dress was a bias cut (it was) and they laid it out and measured to the center for the slit, but because it was a bias cut, that didn't work out. The center could have easily been found by measuring straight down from the deep V-neck of the gown. The second attempt really did not improve anything; it was difficult to walk without the dress wrapping in between my legs. So I wore it once and it went to Goodwill. What a disappointment. I will not be returning to this tailor. read more

Gave me the wrong bridesmaid dress back. It wasn't until the other Bridesmaids and I were getting ready in Florida that I noticed that I had a different long red dress. Luckily, it fit but I felt horrible and embarrassed that I was going to stand out from the other Girls for the pictures and ceremony. I went into the shop after I returned to Denver with the dress that I wore hoping that it wouldn't happen to the other person whose dress I had. She explained that she already bought her another dress over a month ago. I couldn't believe she didn't try calling me after she realized she made a mistake or the people who brought in long red dresses. I paid her $75 to get the length shortened and the top brought up a bit. It was very awkward to get my money back. I did end up getting my dress back but it wasn't in plastic and didn't have a name anywhere on it. I couldn't believe they don't have a better tagging system. read more
