Did another Tasting Tours food tour this past weekend! Our guide-Scott-was SO much fun, a wealth of knowledge, and took really good care of us! This was our first golf cart tour and really allowed us to cover some ground without walking super far in the process. Cannot recommend Tasting Tours and Scott enough!! We have done every good tour in st augustine and learn something new everytime-the PERFECT way to explore our favorite Florida town!! We will definitely be back!! .

One of my absolute favorite things to do with new friends and old ... try out the ever-evolving ever-expanding food and restaurant revolution in the nations oldest continuously lived-in city! The incredible knowledgeable and competent staff under direction from Andi & Niki will guide groups from place to place while imparting fun facts about the Town. They have worked hard to develop strategic alliances with these small business owners and allow them to highlight a memorable food experience that will draw customers back time and again whether visiting or living local. They operate out of Jacksonville too! Don't miss this opportunity and foodie experience!

Beautiful views while tasting delicious wines!

ETA - went back for Vino for Valentine's. Just as wonderful! Did the Above the Lights Tour. Excellent! 6 wines with generous pours. Great boutique wines. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed!

www.thetastingtours.com ** Just remember that website ** So for my birthday, my wife surprised me by signing us to a Tasting Tour. This was a first time for both of us. As a foodie, it sounded very interesting. Then she mentioned wine, which I then became apprehensive about because I am more of a liquor/beer guy. I just don't have too much knowledge of wines. Fast forward to the tour, and I have to say I am more educated of The Wines 101. But that is just part of the tour, the others were sampling delicious foods/desserts/drink made by each shop. The Tasting Tours we went to was called "Saint Augustine Corks and Forks Tour" which is strolling tour. The tour includes 5 venues (I call them "pitstops"). It good to note that each tour is not equivalently the same and totally tailored and selected by your tour guide. Our fabulous tour guide, Laura took us the venues below. -- Athena Greek Restaurant -- Old City House Inn and Restaurant -- Casa De Vino 57 -- The Spice and Tea Exchange -- Chocolattes All in all, it was a fun and great experience. The weather was beautiful that day, which made this tour a very pleasant one. And it you have not been to one of these tours, I suggest you do. Come hungry and get ready to get your walk, eat and drink on.

My daughter and I had the best time on our Brunch Tour with Bonny. She was amazing! So friendly and informative. She told us a lot about the restaurants and chefs that we visited. I will definitely request her again.

We took a tour that was appropriately named, "Ghost with the Most" Pub Crawl! The Friday night tour was led by BeetleJuice! He was entertaining, friendly and had quick comebacks for every passerby! As we walked from pub to pub he gave us a ton of St Augustine history that even though I am a local, I did not know! Our group of 11 were entertained the entire time and went to new places that we had never been to. Overall, we made stops at 4 places. It was great because we were not rushed to "knock it down" but had time to talk, have a drink or two and use the restrooms. I recommend this pub crawl for tourists and locals. The tour guide was not corny - just a great guy to hang with for the night.

My family and I did the Gritchmas! it was amazing and funny. St Augustine! The Grinch was 10/10 Thank You! Ken

My husband and I did the Cork and Forks tour with Rachael. She was very pleasant and guided us to many local places. I felt we went to quite a few places we may not have seen and had enough time at each place to really enjoy it. I thought the food and all the cocktails/wine were superb. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes to try different foods and see local places. www.thetastingtours.com

Ask the Community - The Tasting Tours

I am contemplating going on the corks and forks tour but wanted to know what locations you all stop at? Just want to compare one tour to another since the person I am going with has a limited pallet. Thank you!

Wine shop, italian, sandwich shop off the beaten path, caribbean or peruvian place and dessert shop. Wine or liquor offered at each stop. We were wonderfully boozy and full of the good food.

There were 12 of us paying $45 each and taking up all the seats for this time slot, and the tour lasted just 19 minutes. We arrived only 6 minutes late, tours are booked on the hour, yet we didn't depart until 7:11 pm and were brought back at 7:29 pm--even though the next tour wasn't until 8:00. We did get hot cocoa and treats (as advertised), but overall it felt rushed, overpriced, and poorly run. Do NOT recommend. We were all very disappointed.

Our first stop was an adorable little wine shop where they had a table set and ready for us as we entered. We were treated to 4 different wines and a delicious charcuterie plate. We had a hard time choosing from their many cute wine themed gifts that we wanted to take home for souvenirs (shopping was optional but hard to resist). Our second stop was a quirky little duck stop where we were served a fun bubbly drink! There was a nice shop there too. But the best was saved for last where we enjoyed a fabulous chardonnay along with a gourmet beef tenderloin kabob and potato pave (I believe). The restaurant was closed and we had the patio to ourselves along with the attention of the chef and the wait staff. It was a wonderful way to end the tour. Jennalee made sure she kept us on schedule throughout the tour without rushing us. En route to each stop, she shared her knowledge of the town, landmarks, and history-so interesting! And her laugh is contageous! We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting St. Augustine!

With a perfect 75° evening forecasted for a Saturday night, it seemed like an ideal way to enjoy the occasion. Their online booking system was easy to use, and after our credit card was authorized, we were all set for a 5:00 PM departure. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the dock, things took a disappointing turn. The business office was open, but no staff were inside. After asking around at nearby boats, we learned that no one from Sabrage had been seen all day. I called the number provided, only to reach voicemail. About ten minutes after 5:00, I finally received a callback informing me that they had simply overlooked our reservation and did not have staff available to run the boat that night. It's incredibly frustrating to book an event on a Friday, only to show up the next day and find out that the company didn't even check their reservations. Based on other reviews, it seems like the cruises themselves are enjoyable, but the lack of organization and reliability is a major red flag. If you do choose to book with them, I highly recommend calling ahead--maybe even more than once--to confirm that they're actually operating. To their credit, they voided the charge quickly, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. On a beautiful Saturday night in March, in a prime tourist location, I can't understand why a cruise company wouldn't be running. If not then, when? Given this experience, I have no plans to book with them again.

There were about 5 couples all together on the tour. We stopped at three different bars and explored some different areas all within walking distance. The first place was beer only, so my significant other got a free drink since the tour guide bought everyone's first round. The next place we ordered shots and the third place, Stogies, we didn't drink. The first distillery, was very large and you were able to see the machines in the back. The restroom was clean but had minimal waiting space. We only had a few hecklers outside the tour, but we ignored them and made jokes about it since they were pretty wasted. We learned different stories in the area including burial spots. The bars were pretty packed so we did what we could to avoid others and be too close. I happened to catch some orbs in some photos I took which was really cool. Stogies was the most interesting. The guide told us about Annie, who used to own the building. He explained townspeople didn't like her and she was found murdered on her own door step. So she's been called a malevolent spirit. That the bar staff close in pairs and she's injured other staff before. We also took pictures upstairs too. All in all it was a good trip and good price. Only 25 per person. 5 Enormous Stars! I can't believe that this business did not have a Yelp listing already set up…read more This is, by far, one of the best walking food and wine tours I have ever taken, and I've taken over twenty. Our group had 12 people in it; she said the most she'll do is groups of 16. Cost was approximately $100 per person. Communication was excellent regarding meeting time, place, etc. The business is owned and operated by Jimberly, (yes, Jimberly) who used to be a chef, and owned her own small restaurant... 'til Covid came along. She prides herself on the fact that none of the places we stop at have pre-made, bar/generic food. Let her know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions, and she'll do her best to make special arrangements for you. She has been a Mount Dora native for many years, and had so many great local stories, gave a bunch of great recommendations, and knew people and dogs almost everywhere we went. Each food tour Jimberly does varies, depending on restaurant availability, but this is the one we took: Stop 1: Olive Branch - half glass of red, half glass of white, house salad, penne alla vodka. Stop 2: Lakeside Inn Gift Shop - shot of peach wine, shot of pomegranate wine, shot of chocolate liquor. We got a discount if we bought anything. Stop 3: Las Palmas Cuban Restaurant - scoop of mofongo, piece of skirt steak, piece of cuban, tostone with ropa vieja, piece of flan, piece of tres leches cake, small mojito! This place was outstanding! Stop 4: White Orchid Market Gift Shop - chip with dip, ramekin of pasta, small piece of fudge. Discount, so I bought a candle. Stop 5: Magical Meat Boutique - This is a British Pub, so we had fish and chips, and a cocktail. So good! So full! Absolutely a great experience, and a "must" do if you visit Mount Dora.
