Finally made it to The Tavern on Broad this morning for their Sunday brunch. All I can say is Wow! This did not disappoint. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, that was prepared with brioche bread, and my brother had their breakfast burrito. Service was amazing, wait staff being extremely attentive without hovering, and the food was amazing. I've found my new favorite place for a Monte Cristo. I'll be back again on a Sunday to try another item from the brunch menu! read more

Sunday lunch, took us to the Tavern on broad street in Thomasville. Dawn had the avocado toast and I decided on a grilled chicken Cesar salad. The service was good, the wait was minimal, and the food was delicious. The downtown area is slow on Sunday so traffic was minimal and there was no wait for service. The restaurant area is nice, with a sports bar appeal. I would definitely come back. read more

We ate dinner here last night as a party of 9. Service was very good- they were not busy so I can't speak to how it runs on night like that. Cocktails were very good however my drink a mango daiquiri ( not frozen but traditional ) was served in a martini glass which I think would have been best served in a rocks tumbler. Our visitors enjoyed the blackberry smash and the peach cocktail and really enjoyed both. We had a nice mix of sandwiches and the wings at the table and everyone really enjoyed the food. Personally I enjoyed the tavern burger which was cooked properly and good but not quite worth the price tag. All in all we will be back to enjoy other items and drinks. read more

Traveling and staying in town for a few night. We didn't know anything about this place but we're running late to eat and it was open. It sits on part of the Main Street and has both inside and outside seating. They were quite busy and it took us a bit to get seated. Nice casual trendy place. Multiple seating options, booths, high tops, seat at the bar, outside or larger tables in the back. We sat at a high top in front of the bar. It was a bit to order and then longer to get our food. 3 waiters, 2 doubling as bartenders. But we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a big deal. We had French dip & pastrami Reuben with house made chips. The flavors on both were good. The cheese on the French dip was skimpy and the pastrami was dry but taste was good. Fish and chips is delicious, some of the best beer battered fish I've had in a long time. My mother had the blt and they were able to make sure it was allergy safe for her, server was very nice and helpful. Will be coming back next time in town. read more

Tried again today. Their menu is NOT accurate. We tried four different orders, and we were told they no longer offer those meals. Again, the person answering the phone is kind, but this was our last attempt. Myself and some coworkers came here for drinks after a long work week. We all ordered drinks and they were good. I asked for a whisky sour and it wasn't traditional but it was very tasty. Apparently the old fashioned was the best my coworker had had in a long time. Our server was phenomenal and so funny. The ambiance is wonderful! High ceilings, brick walls in one side and nicely painted walls on the other, clean kitchen and a great wait staff. I ordered the duck fat fried chicken wings with hot honey and bleu cheese. They were delicious! You have got to try the fried broccoli! It is a great way to get in your veggies. The hamburger was good. The philly cheesesteak on the grilled pretzel roll was worth ordering again! The manager is very hands on, making sure things run smoothly. There is nothing I enjoy more than finding these little "joints" in small towns that have a ton of muscle. The Tavern on Broad is a MUST visit. The Staff, Allen and Emily are absolutely FIRST RATE, friendly, engaging and just plain awesome! The Tavern Burger is one of the best burgers I have ever enjoyed. The favor is wonderful, enjoyed every bite. Their homemade Tavern chips are delightful. Two of their signature cocktails, Tavern Classic and Brasstown Brew are stellar, I'd put them up against any overpriced bourbon drink made at any "fancy" restaurant. The food was outstanding. I had a couple of apps as my lunch and the lil lady had a burger. My apps: Buffalo chicken dip: It was the best and cheesiest I have ever had outside someone's home. It needed nothing, not even a dash of hot sauce to be outstanding. Fried pickles: house made pickles, lightly hand breaded and served with ranch. I'd go back for either app. The burger: flavor was its name-o. Great beef flavor, cooked nicely, caramelized onions, and the special sauce made it an instant wonder. It was packed a bit tight for my palate but the lil lady loved every bite. Ticket times were long and the staff short, but that is expected during lunch rush on 5 July. We enjoyed our wait waving at a baby and catching up on the day. Funny thing, everyone seemed to get it being a slower day and rolled with it. One of the Worse hamburger I had in my life. It seems like they use frozen patties that's the only way I can think it was so bad. Ask for Medium also came out well done. Any fast food hamburger would be better a waste of $19. The hamburger in the picture was no were close to what I got. read more

We stopped by when we were in Thomasville for the day. The rustic and historic ambiance welcomed us as soon as we walked through the door. We were seated right away and order the shot flight (a really cool menu item that I haven't seen before). The flavors were unique and refreshing. I ordered the sausage dog with fries with a side of beer cheese and my fiancé ordered the tavern burger. These dishes were amazing - excellently seasoned and don't get me started on the beer cheese. We order wings as an appetizer and were given fries also and charged for them. The wings were good. We ordered the Fish and Chips. Comes with Cole slaw and fries. Asked for sweet potato fries. My husband and I went last night to the tavern. We waited 10 minutes to be seated because there were only 2 people working in the kitchen. Okay no problem I don't mind waiting. We sat down and it took 15 minutes for a server to come take our drink order. My husband ordered a lemonade so that came right away. I ordered a cocktail and that took 20 minutes to be delivered to my table. Our food took about 45 minutes to come to our table. We sat down at 6:45 and left at about 8:30. I will most definitely not be coming back to the tavern. I was really disappointed because the food was so good but it took forever to get it so I was very sad. read more

We've been to the Tavern twice now. Neat place for a few drinks or to dine at also. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive! Their fried pickles are thin and lightly battered...my husband and I agreed they might be our favorite fried pickles! The margarita flight was delicious. I came with my husband during first Friday and it took a while to get our drinks (over 20 minutes). We understood it was busy, so we didn't complain but then the couple next to us (that arrived fairly later than we did) received their drink within 10 minutes upon their arrival. Also there were people sitting at the bar that were receiving their drinks back to back, so it was confusing on why it took so long for us. We ordered food but after waiting and barely receiving any updates from our waitress, we paid for our drinks and left. read more

My husband and I went to the Tavern for lunch after church, and we can't wait to go back! We were quickly greeted by smiles and Southern hospitality that makes a heart happy. Once seated, we perused the menu and easily found some delightful options. We started with hot honey duck confit wings that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sauce was just the right amount and the flavor expertly balanced with the tender crispiness of the wings. My husband had a side salad and grilled cheese that he wouldn't even share a bite of! My Tavern burger without the bun was well seasoned and the French fries hot and just the right crisp. The staff are conscientious and work as a team, all constantly watching for where they can help one another. We will certainly be back soon for another great five star experience! read more

Best decision made on our trip to Thomasville. My daughter and I visited Thomasville in July - The town is just adorable and the people are fantastic. The highlight of our trip was dining at The Tavern on Broad. The food was amazing. I do not eat burgers very often, but their sliders would have me eating them every day! Outstanding. We also had the margarita flight - WOW!!! incredibly well crafted and delicious! The best part of our visit was Bre, our server, and DJ, the general manager. They were outstanding. We felt as though we made new friends that day. We wish we lived closer so that we could be regulars. I would make a special trip just to visit them and their incredible restaurant again. What a jewel we stumbled upon! The menu is not vast like a chain, it is small and packed with very well made offerings. The cocktails are not something you find everyday. The cranberry aperol spritz was stunning for my wife and the Aristocrat was a sublime scotch drink good at lunch or whenever! The fried pickles are crispy with a great dill flavor while the fried chicken sandwich is brined in dill pickle juice before they fry it and you can taste it! The chicken wings cooked in duck fat for a chicken confit was a surprise. So tender it falls off the bone and the hot honey was perfect to spice it up just a touch. I highly recommend this for a break from shopping, a main dinner plan or a, "honey I'll wait over there for you" place. We will be back for sure. read more

Our first time visit for lunch was a success. The classic burger, made of local grass-fed beef, was cooked perfectly to order (rare) and was exceptionally flavorful. It was coarsely ground, and slightly chewy, but not tough. In short, excellent. Accompanying fries were hot and delicious. The only ding was the coleslaw, which was too finely chopped and sweet. It was the only part of our meal that tasted institutional, not house-made. The fish and chips were ordered with sweet potato fries as a substitute. The flaky white fish (probably cod) was true to form, perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter. It came with the requisite malt vinegar plus delicious dill-flavored tartar sauce. The sweet potato fries were savory and delicious, ordered without the available cinnamon sugar. It came with coleslaw--see above. Two Georgia Beer Company brown ales were the perfect beverage. Although the draft beer offerings were limited, the full bar looked well stocked and had an impressive, but small collection of boutique gins that I asked about for a future evening visit. Servers were attentive and friendly, and the bar had a slightly dark but well-appointed interior, like an old school Chicago bar. We will definitely visit again. read more
