I really wish they did what they said they would. My husband and I hired them because we owed the IRS over $15,000 and initially set up payments to them of $500 a month. They ran my credit without my permission and after telling them it was illegal to pull my credit when I didn't authorize it, the young man proceeded to say he had to pull both my credit and my husband's credit to get a loan which would be used to "pay the lawyer fees". Both my husband and I said we were not going to take out a loan if we would have to pay on a loan in addition to the IRS. The representative informed us that they would eliminate the debt altogether or very significantly. After almost a year, we were told that the IRS agreed to lower our payments. Really??? Seriously....we paid over $5,000 in lawyer fees via a loan company that they do business with only to be told that our entire debt is still owed and payments on this loan would also be due every month. This company should be shut down. They got us farther into debt and are now working in order to pay the IRS and the loan, along south everything else. I was very livid with the gentleman on the phone about pulling my credit and I was informed that I could take legal action since I did not give them permission and just may do so. I'm so pissed off that I am paying a loan along with my IRS payments. I plan on contacting the BBB and Attorney General. By the way, the company said they would review all the calls and let us know what they could do to help since we were blatantly lied too...and that was well over a month ago! My experience with the Tax defense group was nothing but fantastic.I worked with Matt and he was very patient and understanding regarding my situation. I owed over $40,000 to the IRS and he walked me through the steps to resolve my problem. Don't even think about hiring this guy's totally useless, basically they just "steal" your money, don't waste your time and money here. The state was garnishing 25% of my check, that was the main reason why I hired them, after 2 months they told me that there was nothing to do about that, when they told me "don't worry we can lower that to 10%" at the very beginning. After that I called the state and just like that they lower my garnishment not only to 10% but to 100 a month, this guy's didn't even called. Just go somewhere else or try to work with your employer and state before hire a tax firm. read more

Total scam. I paid for assistance with taxes of a family member suffering from dementia. I was getting notices from the IRS so was fairly concerned. Spoke to Matt who "sold" the services. The somewhat complicated return was completed using the wrong form and done incorrectly. I finally called after several emails went ignored, spoke to manager and eventually the owner, both totally hands off saying when the person who completed the return came in, she would check her own work to see if in fact she made a mistake. This was actually my 2nd call, I was told to expect a call back 10 days earlier, that never materialized. So the owner has no idea if returns are done correctly or not and the manager stated she was an enrolled agent but I question that because she asked if the issue was urgent, I said seeing how the tax deadline has passed and late fees are being charged everyday, yes, it's urgent, how does she not know this? I honestly couldn't believe the attitude of Juceam the owner, showing total disdain for a paying customer! Then I realized the game for them is collect as much in fees as possible, then run, hide, stall then obfuscate any response to complaints. Most people don't take the time to complete a review so don't ignore the poor reviews here, if tempted, call the company and ask about the negs on Yelp and the BBB and how they respond. Luckily the company I work for records all calls providing a disclaimer/opt-out option that was ignored. Run, run away FAST!!! read more

Total waste of money, they actually cost me more money than I would have had to pay doing this on my own. Completely regret wasting $800 initially for their service, because the atty I had didn't notify me that I owe federal taxes, the tax bill over doubled from fines and fees, etc. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, TOTAL SCAM!!!! They didn't help with anything that was initially promised and I ended up having to contact the IRS myself finally to get anything resolved. I wish I could give this company 0 stars because they aren't deserving of 1 star. They honestly have no clue what they are doing. They will tell you everything you want to hear to lure into paying them but in the end they don't do anything more than you can do yourself by simply calling the IRS. So, it's been a long time since I've done this as I've really just got tired of writing constantly about every experience I've had. This one is a key exception. The short story to this is I had a very short amount of time to reply back to the fed regarding a huge back tax I owe which would result in a large amount of my check missing. Although I have rebounded pretty well since 2010, not nearly enough to pay the amount requested and maintain my household. These guys were there for me each step of the way and got things settled within 90 days. I don't know and can't speak about the previous reviews. All I can say is that my experience is far from what others left. For those of you who have read my previous reviews, you know that I am a straight arrow. With that said in mind, I have already referred a coworker alongside with a family friend. That should say how I feel about there work. Many thanks to the team. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME, OR ENERGY!! We paid them to dispute money owed to the IRS, it took them 8 months to notify the IRS that we had representation. In the year of dealing with them, our case manager has changed THREE times and our latest guy, I'm convinced, doesn't exist. As a part of signing up, they did our 2018 taxes and showed us owing $27,690 (in addition to what we already owed)!! We decided to find someone else, local. He redid our 2018 taxes finding too many errors to count!! We went from owing $27,690 to getting $1300 back! I believe this place is a scam and the positive reviews were written by them! read more

I contacted the group last summer based on their trusted commercial and BBB rating. Although originally very impressed, I quickly found that it is a scam! I understood that although I had to pay them up front for their time in researching my case without any guarantee of any results, when I was told that they could help me and the amount that was going to be deducted from what I owed the IRS I BELIEVED THEM AND EXPECTED RESULTS! Well last time I heard from them upon my constant inquires was 09/2017. It is now 02/2018 and just had my taxes done again by my real trusted H&R Block rep and she scolded me for using this scam as well! I know I should have known better , but you have to trust some people. Well boy lesson learned again like a brick wall falling on me. DO NOT USE THEM or any that charges for the service! This company is a joke! I wish I could leave NO STARS!! I was audited and used their services and I still not only had to pay the IRS $3000 but I had to pay them a fee of $1000 too! Total rip off considering they didn't do anything for me! I could have done it all myself come to find out. The IRS was going to settle with me for $2500. Now I'm out $1500 for not a thing!! One of the managers is so rude I went in to talk to him and he yelled at me and said he was on the phone with the IRS and I needed to get out! Clearly not knowing I was a client. I have never been so embarrassed of a business and I will tell as many people as possible to avoid these clowns at all cost! Please take your money and business elsewhere!
