Recently, I needed shoulder rehab so, of course, I choose Aaron and his staff to take care of me. He is such a good communicator. Over 8 weeks he got me back into shape and was very helpful, as always, in equipping me with the knowledge to adjust how I use my shoulder so that I could be as pain free as possible and to continue my usual activities at home, the gym, and in the community. Then when I'm finally seen three horrible attempts at drawing blood and I was tag teamed and multiple attempts failed??? The nurse said I had thick tough skin and she couldn't navigate through it?? Hello I'm dehydrated I told you I was dehydrated and drawing blood would be difficult! I refused treatment when blood couldn't be drawn and they sent me home with wounds from failure to get blood in multiple locations on my upper and lower arm. No band-Aids we're offered, one nurse apologized and the second nurse just huffed off and left. My son watched as they made these multiple attempts as he felt waves of nausea due to the lack of care or empathy for the pain they were causing during the botched procedure. This was torture not care, if you are a nurse and you can't draw blood then don't practice on the patient practice on yourself. ER patients are in trauma don't create more trauma! My General Practitioner warned me about going here but it was the closest and now I'm going home without treatment/ at risk/ more than likely we may be calling an ambulance tonight! Thank you Baylor Scott and White! If you say your a hospital and you can't practice medicine or offer care what is it that you do....... you cause pain and create trauma The other thing is, I was told it was taking a very long time to admit people, because of the shortage in beds?? when we finally got into the treatment area we saw long hallways nothing but empty beds at least 15 to 20. Just say your short handed, don't mislead your potential patients and allow them to go elsewhere. Just a total lack of care, even the receptionist after telling me it would be one to two hours before I was seeing due to a shortage of beds, was smacking on a bag of potato chips. Where is the care?
