This is great place to come to and enjoy a cold beer inside if you are hot and outside in their beer garden for some outdoor fun and live music. I enjoyed the local IPA and some food truck food. The food truck staff is quick and friendly and will bring your food to you. The staff is super attentive and barely allowed me to bring my own glass back to the counter. They insisted I stay seated and pampered. Great place for great brews, fried comfort food and neighborhood style fun. It's like visiting friends with the coolest beer shack and backyard. I like adventuring and good lord if I didn't find one. This place, the day I went, was pretty packed but it added up to a great atmosphere and conversation with new friends. The prices are great, the food was amazing. I have this thing for eating and drinking outside and they have a whole backyard to accommodate. Did I mention great drinks? Kerry and the staff sure know how to make you feel at home. I was up from FL and stubbles across this awesome beer bar. Kerry and the staff were knowledgeable and quickly made me feel like a regular. This establishment was brought to my attention by a friend of mine and I'm very glad it was. It's a small place but the owner/staff are extremely friendly. Numerous craft beers on tap along with Mead and cider both on tap and bottle. The food choices a minimal but very good. I recommend the BBQ nachos or the Pigburger. And don't be scared to try a new or exotic beer they will gladly let you sample. read more

We specialize in bringing you local and regional craft beers on draft in in package to go. Menu available on site or to go with a food truck available Tuesday - Saturday 4-8.

History

Established in 2017.

We wanted to create a comfortable, brightly lit place to enjoy craft beer on draft that was convenient to most residents in Dothan. It's not open late and our friendly staff makes guests feel at home.

Meet the Business Owner: Kerry F.

Kerry, her husband and most of her friends love good craft beer. They all have spent a lot of time traveling the country and world and tasting craft beer along the way. They noticed that there weren't any places in Dothan outside of the brewery on the south end of town to fill a growler, so that's how the business started. As a growler filling station. But, people wanted pints and samplings of the beers and occasionally a bite to eat as well, so they incorporated a small menu of pub food into the selections as well. It's a family-friendly place where you can bring the kids in while mom and dad enjoy a craft beer. Pets welcome in the back yard also.

They vary as to genres but overall quality of the musicians and sound is consistent. Mr. Mike, the owner, is often present and a super nice laid back guy. Melissa and the other bartending staff are very friendly and attentive. Smoking is allowed outdoors on the patio. Generally whether is packed or only a few regulars hanging the place is always chill. If you happen to hit a bad vibe night the stars are definitely unaligned because this place is a come as you are everybody is welcome kinda place.

Super friendly as is the entire family and we loved hearing what new ideas were on the horizon. Not only that we had shared an experience we had with taking a growler home years ago, and he immediately took action to try to recover the situation, even though it happened years ago! True customer service and hospitality. We enjoyed bourbon aged stout and the millie Kalikimaka. Both darker beers with good flavor. My husband ended up switching to the copper tail, which was their German alt bier. He really enjoyed that and had several glasses of it. I switched over to a delicious hard seltzer, the Midori sour and it was divine. I'm still kicking myself that I didn't grab some to bring home. If you love honeydew melon this is the perfect beverage for you! We also finally tried their in-house distilled bourbon whiskey. We really enjoyed it. It definitely does not give you that Kentucky hug you normally feel when you drink bourbon.

THE BEST place to get craft beer in our area hands down. We have been visiting The Thirsty Pig for quite a while and love it! Kerry and all the staff there are phenomenal and really know their beers. It has a laid back atmosphere that we really enjoy as well as a food truck on site that cranks out some tasty snacks to go along with the awesome selection of brews on tap. They have cans, wine and you can get a growler filled to go as well. They are kid and dog friendly which is a huge plus for our family and they generally have something going on just about every weekend along with trivia during the week. Stop in and visit with them. When they opened earlier this year, The Thirsty Pig quickly became one of my favorite spots to eat or have a drink in Dothan and Downtown Dothan. I am always a fan of the pig burger or their chicken tacos. Also, the staff is very friendly and personable. They also try to recommend stuff to you after they know your tastes in drinks, and the option of growler fills is a rare option in Dothan for if you want to take something to go without having to chase it down elsewhere if you can even find it in town. read more

A very unique concept for Dothan. It features area microbrewery offerings and a very nice bar menu. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and there's even an option to select brews for a tasting! Even mead, wine and cider on hand plus soft drinks for the kids and non-drinkers. Small space that feels comfortable.
