Love this hidden gem in Tallahassee! As a wine lover, they have a nice variety of wines with great service. It's a cute little vibe inside and there is a back patio. I had a great first visit here for a solo date night. Chris took good care of me. He went to great lengths to help me find a delicious chilled red wine which I sampled along the way. The mini charcuterie I enjoyed was quite tasty. The vibe is quaint with a little patio attached to make indoor or outdoor seating an option. I visited here during the summer. They had closed out their inside space for a party/event, so the only seating was outside. They do have a super cute patio space, it's just a bit warm in the height of summer. The wine selection was great and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't get a chance to try the food but I'd love to do so next time as they had a great vegetarian section with healthy selections. read more

The husband brought me here for a nice quiet evening out, and we had a lovely time! It's a cute little place right off North Monroe, with an extensive wine menu and a greatly knowledgeable wait staff to help you make choices if you are unsure what you'd like. The place is very modern with a nice, romantic "date night" air. On our first night we tried the basic board and the "gimme juice"option, where the sommelier will bring you a glass based on some preferences you provide for a set price while their neon "juice" sign is lit. My wife and I visited this establishment on a Wednesday night. The location was quaint and tucked in the back of a location which is actually adjacent to a main thoroughfare. There were approximately 20 patrons an we added four. The food was very good, a salad that stood out !! We only had a glass of wine but the selection is vast. They did run out of a few things (on Wednesday? ) but overall it was delightful. All of the servers were very nice and personable! We will be back! read more

I found this place for my 21st birthday. It was so beautiful and perfect. I chose the southern cheeseboard and it was deliciously paired with the sour cherry jam and orchard pond honey. I had the moscato in the picture posted below. 100% recommend. Waitress was so sweet and kind. read more

This is a fun place to go for wine and charcuterie! I think it's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's fun if you're down for upscale vibes for the evening. One thing I LOVE: you can order a "surprise me" glass of wine, and the bartender/sommelier will pour you something based on what you say you like. I thought that was super fun! read more

I was excited to try this place out, though I only had time to stop by for a glass of wine. I'll be back to try the food soon. I signed up for the wine club and can't wait to come in for a wine tasting or class hosted by the sommeliers. Apparently all of the staff is sommelier trained! This does not seem to be a location to go for a cheap glass of wine. Instead you'll want to savoir the experience, with wines by the glass ranging from $9 to $16 and wines by the bottle priced from $45 to $375, with most being priced under $100. I'm glad they have plenty of outdoor seating, because I'd love to stop by for a socially-distanced happy hour, weather permitting. Their website has a calendar of events and details about their wine club, which was incredibly easy to sign up for. Wine club memberships start at just $35 per month for 2 bottles. Last night my sister, BIL, hubby & I finally tried Hummingbird Wine Bar. Kinda nondescript from the outside but once inside - or on the deck outside - it was light, airy & just fresh! I loved the decor! We sat outside & the evening was delightful adding to the overall impression we got from this venue. The wine list is extensive, they have a few beer choices, cocktails & Greek sodas (lemon, grapefruit & we forgot the last choice). They also offer several cheese boards, a few paninis & there is a different pasta every Friday evening according to our server, Marque (who is also a sommelier). The pasta for the evening was beet gnocchi (my BIL ordered & it was yummy), we had 1 cheese board between us & my husband got one for himself while my sister & I each ordered a panini but swapped a half to try them both (apple & Green Hill Double Cream & Chorizo /Manchego). All very good!!! Hats off to the chef! Tho I didn't need to use the bathroom, my sister thought the women's bathroom was pretty cool! I think she said they had frog and/or cricket sounds playing in there! We will be back for sure! Ask for Marque (pronounced 'mark') - he's great, too! read more

I loved visiting this local spot. Off the beaten path and a little hard to find, it sits back off the road at the back of a plaza right next to a nice old, giant oak. There is a cute little outside are with plenty of room and some heaters for colder weather. It gets a little shade from the oak tree depending on the time of day. Our group sat inside near the large window. The inside is adequately sized and has a large bar. The wine selection is phenomenal! The service was impeccable, and very friendly. We experienced one of the charcuterie boards, the ciabatta bread and butter, and the pimento grilled cheese. All of it was outstanding. My favorite wine of the flight we tried was the Nero D'Aavola Sicilia red. Such a robust flavor! I have to mention the bathrooms. They remind me of camping in the forest. On tops of the cool, leafy wallpaper and sound recordings of a babbling brook and spring peeper frogs the service, food and wine selections, made this one of my favorite places to come to enjoy wine and good company. read more

Better than 5 stars. We had a memorial service for my mom and brother who passed away last year. Hummingbird personnel took fantastic care of us. I corresponded with them through email to set everything up. They gave our group plenty of time (we even went over and they never pushed us or said anything). They gave us the entire indoor space and said we could go outside if we wanted. Highly recommend if you want to do a party. The price was way less expensive than I thought it would be. We opened a few bottles of wine to start and ordered some cheese plates. FYI, they also have a few beers (in bottles, I think?) for those who don't like wine (crazy, but true). We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Hummingbird! We have been several times and have tried all of their cheese Boards and were given excellent recommendations by the sommeliers as to what wines would pair best with our boards and they were spot on. Their staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant has a chill vibe is super clean the even bathrooms are beautiful. They are definitely sanitizing and the place is spotless. For sure a covid friendly place. We have even taken our kids and sat outside on their patio and had a fantastic relaxing evening. You will not be disappointed by any of the food or wine you choose. They have all different price points so don't be intimidated if you don't know anything about wine, we sure don't and we're put at ease by the friendly staff.
