This toy store has something for every age! They had hobby items too such as puzzles, games, build kits, etc. The staff were nice as well

It's been decades since I started coming here and I still consider The Toy Company to be my go-to stop for buying games and basically anything a kid would love to open on their birthday. Puzzles, a train table, doll houses, assorted games and everything toy related can be found here. I've purchased items for myself when I was growing up as well as recently buying gifts for my nieces and nephews. The employees are consistently helpful and can guide you to finding or ordering what you need. The location is also fairly easy to find with their bold purple banner in downtown St. Joseph. I'd recommend coming by if you need to buy anything a kid would like. read more

There is a wide variety of toys and activity sets for all ages. It's a very fun place to visit in person to browse/shop. During this visit we purchased a couple unicorn themed squishies, scratch n sniff, birthday cards, and a set of diving balls for the hotel pool. One thing I especially enjoyed is that the store has items from the brand "Top Trendz" which is uncommon to find at other stores. The store itself is tight in the aisles for our stroller. It's better to leave it outside w someone or at the front if you have a choice. read more

The Toy Company is just the best local toy shop around! We travel to SW Michigan every summer and always make a stop to see their unique selection of toys for every age. We have kids across the age span and everyone finds something they love! The folks running the place not only keep wonderful toys in stock, they are also welcoming and ready to help. Prices are reasonable and quality is excellent. We're therapists so we also love that they keep lots of fun sensory toys, fidgets, and Needoh in stock. We will certainly be back whenever we are in town! read more

Such a cute toy store with great (not common) options for kids. There are so many unique finds in here. Stopped in with my kids and found them a few cool finds. I'm not big into buy the same legos and games I can find in Target. They have some neat, unique stuff here. Definitely stop in! read more

One of the cutest toy stores I have ever been to! Such an array of items that there is truly something for everyone. The store was broken into different areas and I loved the room that had children's books and coordinating stuffed animals. This shop isn't just for kids, they also had a huge wall of games ranging from kid to adult games. Perfect place to pick up a game and enjoy an evening with friends. My 3 year old loved this store and I had to practically drag her away! We spent the better part of an hour in here playing with the toys that were on display and picking out a few to purchase. The women working there were very nice as well! A great store that we will definitely visit again on our next trip to St. Joe :) read more

This is a fabulous toy store! Great for all ages including adults. They did a great job of acquiring toys that aren't your normal plastic toys from Walmart or Target. Prices are fair, even competitive with Amazon. I decided to buy some early Christmas gifts to support the owners! The staff was very helpful and showed us Aaron's putty and other cute things he thought my daughter would like. One of the owners was there, very friendly and helpful. Please stop in!!!! read more

What a great little toy store. They have such a wonderful selection of interesting, well-made, imaginative toys. You're not going to find cheap plastic here and a lot of their toys are really designed to foster creativity and encourage imagination. There is also a huge emphasis on items with some sort of educational component. Although, the beauty of the toys is that the kids will never know they are learning. It will happen organically and spontaneously. The only missing star really comes from the fact that it tends to be a little pricey. However, if you really want to impress the other parents at the birthday party, this is the place. read more

Would not spend a dollar in this store - was recently on vacation and thought it would be fun to pick something fun up for the kids after a day at the beach -- my 4 year old son excited and enjoying a lollipop was rudely told by the shop owner that if he touched the stuffed zebra on the floor that it was going home with us. First of all, if you are worried about your stuffed animals falling prey to happy toddlers -- don't put them on the floor of a toy store. Secondly, try having some manners -- your temperament is better suited for working at the dmv, than a toy store. read more

It's not your typical toysrus store with ailes of crap toys but they have a decent collection. prices are on the higher side. ( depends on what your picking ) . Looks like they have good board games collection. read more

We are staying in St. Joseph for the week and will probably visit The Toy Company every day! Tonight my 2-year-old had had enough of restaurants so we left when he finished his meal and he was able to play and reset at The Toy Company. The staff is friendly, and the toys are great! read more
