Avoid Reconstructive Orthopedics! My husband went there on a referral for chronic neck pain. Dr…read more Mehta suggested he try a medial branch block injection, followed by RFA with the goal of. Unfortunately, she misrepresented the purpose of the procedure (I checked my notes so make sure we hadn't misheard what she said). Later, we found that it was a DIAGNOSTIC procedure, not a treatment, per se, by doing my own research. She did the first injection, said to "call the office" the next day to see if there was improvement, but when we tried to call, we were #78 in line. This followed for the next four business days, before i had to pretend I was a doctor just to get them to answer the phone. When I finally talked to her almost a week later, i told her we wanted to schedule the second procedure. Her scheduler called and set up the next procedure for 3 weeks from then. We went to the first follow up appointment anyway, and were surprised to be seeing her PA. When we read the After Visit Summary and Clinical Notes from that visit, we found that the PA's notes were not accurate, and instead, switched the "improvement" from "minimal" which is what we said, to 80%, completely changing what we told her. I replied to her comments in the message portal asking why the improvement was overstated. (Here's the fun part ....) A bit later my phone rang, and the PA was interrogating me about "who made that second appointment?" I was confused at both the question and the accusatory tone. I told her that (1) the notes did NOT represent what we told her at our appointment and (2) the appointment was made through the DOCTOR. After the second procedure did nothing, we asked at the follow up what other procedures we could try. She was evasive at first, and then admitted, she had no other procedures or medications to offer. It was frustrating and we let her know that we didn't think she was honest with us. Her only response was to give us the names of two surgeons. We left angry and not sure what to do next. Then she decided to write up clinical notes, disparaging us, claiming we almost broke the door (?) when we left. But the worst part? We believe that she recorded our appointment without advising us and without consent. Needless to say, we did not return to that practice. BUT their final farewell was holding our records after requesting them repeatedly since November 2025. I had to threaten them with legal action to get them to send them to me. Add to that the fact that you can NEVER reach them on the phone, unless you ask for a callback... and when they call back? You go right back into that neverending queue. Avoid this practice, and more specifically this doctor. The dishonesty, pettiness, and unprofessionalism of her and her PA was eye opening.

When they told us we said no, we have been married for 41 years and we make sure we both know medically what's going on at all times. The nurses came back and said he was firm he would only see one at a time. We looked at each other and said no we are leaving. We never even talked to the arrogant Doctor. He is a reason why the medical field is losing confidence. I am making sure if he attempts to bill Medicare, I will ask Medicare to charge him with fraud.

I told Dr. Patel I wanted to see medical literature recommending this therapy. I conducted a medical literature search. Dr. Patel said he looked for articles for me. Neither I nor Dr. Patel found even a single article suggesting this therapy was appropriate and helped people with back pain. Not one article.. I did not pursue further care at this clinic.
