My regular massage therapist had to cancel last minute and since I was in so much pain I booked a last minute massage here. I told the massage therapist that I had really aggravated my post concussion symptoms, so she thought a good idea would be applying pressure to the middle of my head and massaging that area. Not a good idea as it caused much further aggravation. I told my chiropractor, regular massage therapist, and family doctor what happened, and they were just absolutely baffled why a therapist would do that to a post concussion syndrome client and confirmed that this has what led to a major setback for me. I informed the office of what happened but no response. I'm sure this place is OK for relaxation massages but don't make the same mistake I did and come here for more serious muscular and nerve issues.

King Thai Massage did not mention that they would not be covered by SunLife and when my husband put the claim in through later that night it was rejected as King Thai Massage is a delisted provider. I am now out $60 on something I assumed would be 100% covered. I requested some accommodation by just refunding me the $25 RMT premium and the location refused. Also I got scratched a couple times. The worst part though was the conversation. What clearly was meant to be helpful really took away from the experience. I was suggested other services for things I'm treating in other ways and also told to lose weight. Granted, I am overweight, but as someone who has been that way for some time, I clearly know that less weight is better. This wasn't something I needed to be lectured about while getting a massage. My masseuse asked if they could be direct before telling me to lose weight and I said yes but the none direct method before of asking me about my appetite and portions I eat and if I stress eat made it pretty obvious where the "direct" advise was going. I highly recommend her for your Physio needs. They are also very strict with their PPE/social distancing measures and the clinic is very clean. Only downside is they make you take off your clean mask to replace with either your own unused mask or pay for one of their own. This defeats the keep mask on at all times purpose . So technically, if another patron had asymptomatic Covid symptoms and took their mask on/off hence dispersing the virus, I'm more likely to get virus too because I had to switch my mask when I entered clinic. Makes no sense to me. Aside from a soiled mask I think this mask protocol is overkill. Hence ~ 4 stars
