What's hot - Quality. I had Catherine and she was wonderful. She reviewed my health summary and understood the issues I had and definitely knew how to address them. She asked me how much pressure I prefer and certainly applied that very well. She was respectful and responsive to the issues. She focused on my problem areas, applied an excellent amount of pressure, checked in a couple of times during the process , and also massaged my temples and scalp a little bit. Personally, I love that attention to detail, because I've learned where my body holds tension and I appreciate it when masseuses can address that properly. My husband had Veraleen and she was great, as well. She applied a good amount of pressure to my husband's trouble spots and he enjoyed the experience. - Service. Overall, they're pretty good. I booked our massages through their website and they responded by calling soon after. They also made certain we each filled our a health survey. My husband forgot to fill his out and their staffer at the front desk ensured he did so before the massage started. - Facilities. Clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The room for the couples massage is a good amount of space and not cramped. There's only one restroom in their facility for the customers. - Location. Pretty good and easy to find. There's also parking nearby, which is helpful, because they're downtown. - Health insurance. My husband and I are tourists, so we paid out of pocket, but it appears they take health insurance, which is great. You can fill out health insurance information when you schedule online and I heard their staffer confirm another couples' insurance, who had just finished and was on their way out when we arrived. What's not - 50 minutes instead of a full hour. I'm bummed their massage doesn't go for the full hour, especially due to the price. - Price. To be fair, they're more reasonable than other massage services, which is why I chose them. As mentioned previously, that it's $129 for less than 1 hour seems a bit high. - Website. By the way, if you book a couples massage, be aware of booking each one separately. The first time I tried it, I double booked for myself. Their website isn't the most straightforward, so be aware of that if you're trying to book for others. - Construction noise. To be fair, they have no control over this. I bring this up so people are aware there is currently construction going on, which adds to the noise. Not pleasant, but it just forced me to focus on Catherine's technique, which was great. Final Answer Would be willing to come back if we ever return to the area and would recommend them to others.

The room she uses for massages is small but never feels cramped, thanks to the layout and décor (regarding the latter, it's really cool!). There's a space for everything, including a dish for your jewelry. Nicki makes you feel comfortable immediately, going over every part of the process from paperwork to treatment. You can choose the essential oils you want her to use, if you like (which I did, lemongrass and ylang ylang). The bed is warm, with adjustable temperature, and you can have hot towels incorporated into your massage. I was glad to have both. Bed and towels aside, my actual massage was excellent. My appointment today was 60 minutes long and Nicki didn't waste any of that time. She's so good at what she does that I followed Nicki to this new location from another clinic. The other clinic was quite close to my office but it doesn't matter, the extra distance is worth it. Nicki's fees are pretty standard but the personal touches are what put her ahead for me. I always go for the scalp and face massage to close out the treatment, it's wonderful. She left a hot towel and dry towel for me afterwards, as well as a little candy. Oh! and her playlists. The music is soothing yet never boring (my favourite is the classic soul). There's usually at least one song I note for future look-ups. I'm very happy to be a client here!

You can't miss the tacky neon sign out front giving a good indication if they are open or not. I was welcomed in heartily by a woman named Wiwi. She was very enthusiastic about my options for a massage here, and immediately tried up-selling me with the most expensive option, the 4-Hand Massage. She said "two girls are better than one" and who can argue with that, so I decided to give it a try. Looking at the prices, turns out there isn't any volume advantage with four hands vs. two, so unless you want to spend twice as much, this really doesn't make a lot of sense. Since the cost was so high, I opted for 30 min instead of 60 min. Since that's not a lot of time, and it takes time for me to relax, it didn't seem like much of a value. They can cover you quicker, but since you would get the same coverage in an hour, this would only be an advantage if you were in a hurry. So it could have its place. If you think you've tried everything these spas have to offer give it a shot. And consider checking out other options that look intriguing here, like the sea-salt massage, no idea what that is. According to their business card, they also have sauna and shower services which could round out your visit.

We both wanted Thai massage, but they didn't have two Thai massage therapist at the time we requested. My boyfriend got the Thai massage. He said it was okay, not the best I had the Swedish, which I found uncomfortable. The therapist had long nails and kept on sliding his nails up and down my back actually making me feel tighter in the back as it was a bit uncomfortable. He also was very fast in his technique, with didn't loosen any of my tight muscles. He did try want to work together and do what I liked... but unfortunately when the technique isn't there, it's hard to explain what you want. And the worse part of the massage was that he used a scented oil on me that overwhelmed my scenes. I left there uptight and congested. I don't I would try this place again.

My therapist Ying was phenomenal to say the least...she lived up to her bio on the spa's website and more! Both treatments were an hour @ $125.00/each and worth every penny! As others have written, she takes the time to listen to your issues, ask you further/clarifying questions and offer a treatment plan. She also consistently follows up on (and is open to revising) that plan - keeping records of your past issues, treatments and feedback (ie. How did you feel after we did these points?). Also, as a queer masc-leaning dyke, body work can be a rotten experience. Sarah has only ever been awesome. No weird assumptions or comments, and all the consent-practices you could hope for. I've recommended Sarah to several friends and when she's not available, I've heard that her colleagues are also excellent.
