I wouldn't recommend massage here if you're suffering from any sort of injury as the therapists don't seem particularly experienced in that area. My regular massage therapist had to cancel last minute and since I was in so much pain I booked a last minute massage here. I told the massage therapist that I had really aggravated my post concussion symptoms, so she thought a good idea would be applying pressure to the middle of my head and massaging that area. Not a good idea as it caused much further aggravation. I told my chiropractor, regular massage therapist, and family doctor what happened, and they were just absolutely baffled why a therapist would do that to a post concussion syndrome client and confirmed that this has what led to a major setback for me. I informed the office of what happened but no response. I'm sure this place is OK for relaxation massages but don't make the same mistake I did and come here for more serious muscular and nerve issues. read more

They know what they're doing! I've come here quite a few things for registered massage therapy, and they don't skimp on the pressure or the quality of their service. I've been treated by multiple RMTs and they're all very good and professional. I come here to address athletics related issues rather than for relaxing, indulgent massages, though I'm sure many clients come here for that too. The rooms are quiet, simple and peaceful (some nice washrooms there too!). Sign up for their last minute club if you think you'll be a repeat client as subscribers are notified via email about last minute appointment availabilities. Amazing massage. One star down for time handling (not quite an hour) and major reception issues (the receptionist didn't note that I asked for a Swedish, dragged at logging clients in, and wasn't the least bit inviting or helpful when people walked in. Didn't even tell us how long the wait would be and it was more than 15mins before we were seen. In the best spas and wellness centres, the front desk area is the beginning of aentire zen experience. I hope Satori revisits their front desk area and interactions. Even for a medical spa, reception was stiff (wait room is dubbed "serenity" after all lol). An updated review due to a more recent visit. The therapist was very friendly despite that I was 10 minutes late. She immediately escorted me to a treatment room and asked about my concerns and pressure preference. During the massage she also checked in with me twice about the pressure. This is not a spa facility at all, but more like a medical clinic, which is I think what they strive for. Their therapists are also at reception, which I personally think is an efficient arrangement. Made my reservations online which was very easy. I booked a 90 minute massage. It's been a long time and I felt like I really needed this to help me destress. I arrived at Satori early. I was welcomed by the owner with a glass of water and filled out the requisite medical form. I was then brought to the room for my massage and slipped and fell on some water. They just had their carpets shampooed and they were walking around with their rubber shoes on and I guess some water was left on the floor from their shoes tracking on the wood floors making them slippery. I fell pretty hard and spilt my water all over the place. I exclaimed fuck I couldn't believe that this was happening. I was brought into the lobby to wait for them to clean it up and I was seriously thinking about leaving. I was shaking. Masseuse who was assigned for my treatment, Jen, brought me into another room and sat me down and we discussed the situation. The owner offered to give me my treatment complimentary. I had been looking forward to this for a while so I opted to go through with it. The appointment went well I did feel more relaxed. Jen has a very calming nature and was very polite and kind. After the treatment was over, she went over some breathing exercises for me to help calm me. Although the appointment got off to a rocky start, I feel that they did everything in their power to try to make it right. The facilities clean and calming. The massage was good. I am not completely sure if I will go back, but I think that they handled the situation professionally. read more

I go to Satori for Osteopathy - Katherine Libertore is no short of amazing. The space is beautiful, and relaxing and without much attitude even in the heart of Yorkville, which to me is something to be said. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. read more

This place was great! Nice location, nicely decorated lobby with some water available and an array of wellness products. The girls at reception that I had were very friendly, though for some reason every sound seemed to bounce off the walls like a cave, so it can get a little busy with conversation for those that care. I had Amanda give me a massage and I thought she was just great - lovely person and helps with tight muscles like a champ. My necks been cramped up for a while, and we finally got to loosening my muscles, which hasn't been done before. I also had a cup of water waiting for me at the lobby which was a nice touch. read more

I visited Satori twice a week for acupuncture with Brendan. Brendan was very knowledgeable and asked detailed questions to ensure that he understood my goals for treatment. Even though it was my first time being treated with acupuncture, I felt comfortable right away because of his experience as well as his warm and friendly personality. After four months, I noticed a significant improvement in my condition. The receptionists were always helpful whenever I needed to change my appointments and the online scheduling system is great. I went to Shih-Ming Yao on the recommendation from some friends. After three sessions of massage therapy I felt like a million bucks. Ming was very knowledgable, personable & professional. I had pulled or pinched something in my back and the pain was excruciating. A friend suggested osteopathy so thought I'd give it a try. After my first session, the pain dropped by at least 30%, and continually improved (as I did the daily exercises I was given). Today I went for my one-week follow up session and the pain is now down about 75%. I felt that Chantale really cared about helping me, especially when she was making sure I understood my homework (exercises) haha. Anyway, I'm now a fan of osteopathy and Chantale! As someone else here said, it is a bit clinical rather than spa-like, but it felt professional and friendly. (And it was a bonus for me that Wholefoods is nearby!) read more

Tranquil vibe, lovely tea in reception. I had two massages, enjoyed the first one more, therapist seemed more experienced and knowledgeable. One difference I find between a clinic and a spa is that there seems to be more of an expectation of conversation, as you're there for a 'medical treatment' covered usually by insurance. I booked a massage at the last minute here for my sore back after my long plane ride. This place is awesome. I had Sarethia, super good RMT, knows the pressure points technique and relieve my sore back. She didn't talk during the entire massage or try to attempt any small chitty chat but some people I know like that. It's expensive but really worth it in my opinion. The environment is clean and quiet. Reception is courteous and friendly. I was a bit nervous about going since Yorkville can be snotty. read more

Throughout my pregnancy it was comforting to have my health supported by Brendan's techniques. He even incorporated some acupressure which was nice.
