We had a dead pecan tree that needed to be removed and two other trees that needed to be trimmed. After reading several reviews of The Tree Boss, my wife and I decided to go with this company. Jon came to our house a few weeks ago and we discussed what needed to be done as well as what should or should not be done with the other trees in our front and back yards. Jon was very personable, knowledgeable, on time, and he took the time to answer my many questions (I'm a former journalist so I'm used to asking a lot of questions. Also, I had coffee). I enjoyed meeting Jon and got a good feeling about the company. Scheduling the work was done through online communication with Jolene. She was very pleasant to work with, answered all my questions, and my good feeling about the company increased. We set up two appointments - one for the workers to remove the dead tree and trim the two other trees; the other for the pecan tree stump to be grinded down. (A permit was required for this action; that's why everything had to be done on two separate days.) Earlier this week, Dominic (the team leader) and Rito came to our house to do the work. The guys were friendly and we really hit it off, especially when I learned that Dominic and I both have the same favorite pro football team (Pittsburgh Steelers; who else?). Rito said he was a 49ers fan, but I told him that was a better choice than a few other teams (which shall remain unnamed here) and that there still was time for him to join the fans of the "right team," meaning Pittsburgh, of course. But to be serious now, the guys got right after it and did a remarkable job. They came to the door when they were finished and showed me everything they had done which was quite impressive. They came back the next day and grinded down the pecan tree stump, covering it with dirt which was a nice surprise. They did such a good job that you can't even tell a tree was once there. So on a scale of 1 to 10, this company would rate a 15 or higher in my book. Jon, Jolene, Dominic, and Rito were all outstanding. I would strongly recommend them. In closing, it's refreshing to know that if my wife and I need help in the future with any of our other trees, we know which company we will use. :) read more

This company is amazing..the office staff and owner Jon are knowledgeable, friendly, professional, polite. We had 4 huge cypress trees cut and trimmed a mass job in very tight space next to neighbors they showed up on time, set up there equipment cut and trimmed the trees cleaned up my area AND my neighbors..they were polite and thanked me for choosing them! The Tree Boss was a great find. My estimator arrived promptly at the scheduled time and was very professional and friendly. The estimate itself was very reasonable, and the work was performed diligently and quickly. We had a large desert willow trimmed off our roof and a large Australian yucca had a heavy limb amputated. The results were fantastic. We had John come give us an estimate to trim up our at least 50' Mulberry tree. Phoned about delay and rescheduled right away. Good price. Great work. Dominic's team were all professional respectful and skilled. The trimming work was reviewed with us regularly. Tree took on a beautiful mushroom shape. Clean up was completed before the guys left. These guys came in early December and downed a huge mesquite tree in our front yard by the street. They cut it down to manageable sizes so my husband could cart some of the wood into our back yard to store for our fireplace. They took the time to help him do some of the heavier loads, and cleaned up the street. The whole time (in one day!) they downed the tree, and cleaned up the street and sidewalk. They were friendly, professional, and just all around nice guys. The price was extremely reasonable, considering the size of our tree. I just wish I hadn't lost my pictures of their amazing work. I highly recommend this business. They offer free estimates, have discounts for Veterans, and Senior Citizens. Yes, we will be using them again in the summer, so we can have more firewood ready for next winter. read more
