Within a week of initial contact, my trees are gone and my stumps ground. They removed all of the limbs less than 8" in diameter and the brush and stacked the wood neatly in the yard. They removed the trees on Thursday and the stumps on Friday and my yard and street look tidier than before they worked their magic. The crew was incredibly skilled, using climbers and a picker truck while being careful to keep all equipment on the driveway or road rather than driving on the lawn. They were extremely cautious, using ropes to hoist down all large branches and even the heavy trunk sections to ensure everything stayed controlled and safe. They were also proactive about oak wilt, spraying all the stumps immediately after cutting. This is an honest, family-run business that is licensed, insured, and very reasonably priced. They even coordinated with my neighbors for property access and cleaned up every bit of debris. I would definitely hire them again!

After collecting some quotes, Elite Arborist was the top pick. When they pulled up I noticed their motto is "Exceeding Your Expectations." They did. I would actually give them an extra star if I could because the crew busted their...ahem, "chops". (I have more tree puns if needed.) It was an all day job and after watching how strenuous it was, I've decided to never complain about washing dishes again. I also tipped the crew although each one said it wasn't necessary. Quite a few neighbors stopped by to chat and enjoy the show. It was fascinating. You could see the trimmer's years of experience in how fast and how expertly they handled some towering maples. (A 4 foot diameter stump was pretty impressive to me.) They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Now with so much space I'm thinking of planting a small wisteria (tree form) in spring. After the trees came down, my brother took a look at the backyard. Now some of the interior renovation debris (waiting to be hauled away) is more visible and he said the place looked like "Sanford & Son." I'm still highly amused (while simultaneously slightly chagrined) by that comment. He then proceeded to take some leftover logs and rocks and constructed a TTF which he rode his mountain bike over. I hired these guys to trim two trees, grind a stump, remove patio slabs, grade the lot and clean…read moreup. They ended up taking the trees completely down at the neighbors request. Which is fine but they still wanted to charge me full price for trimming some branches before taking the trees completely down. And the homeowner heard the house get hit twice. They denied it. After their truck was gone there was noticeable damage to the new roof and siding. When sent pictures of the damages they still denied it and then did not show up to finish the job. They did grind the stump and cut through several internet cables even though they knew they were there. Their attitude was that it happens all the time. Well, these cables were visible above ground. They just plowed right through them. So they left a big hole in the ground, never cleaned up or removed the slabs or graded the lot. Their trucks left oil and gas all along the road and I had to put down stuff to soak it up. Now they want payment for the trees and take no responsibility for the mess. Good luck to whoever else uses these guys.
