After several years of using the Trim Shop I was told that they're too busy to trim my dog. No explanation. Poor customer service.

I truly never write reviews but I felt that I needed to let others know my experience. I have been…read morebringing my dogs to this groomer for a few appointments now and have loved the haircuts up until my last time. When I had went in the last time to pick them up, I was told as they were handing me back my dog, they had nicked his paw and put a little bandage over it and was told to not let him walk on cement for the next hour. When we had gotten home, we noticed it had bled through the bandage and continued to bleed on and off for the next day and ended up having to make a vet appointment the next day, and he now has to have a cone on his head for the next couple weeks. When I had called and let the groomers know that it was a lot worse than what they said, they said the owner would call me and let me know what they could do about it, since I did pay full price for his haircut as well without any reimbursement or discount off on their mistake. The owner emailed me the next day instead of calling me, saying "We know you understand as we have your signed Liability Waiver on file acknowledging a risk while being groomed." With the waiver at hand. I understand mistakes happen, but barely any remorse or even a call to me made it clear they don't value their customers. When my parents dog had gotten nicked at their groomer, they got a call in advance, a discount, and a call the next day saying sorry and checking on the dog. To not get any of these is pretty upsetting from a place that I thought I could trust my dogs at.

Beyond impressed…read more Initially it was a grim outcome for my dog as she was diagnosed with Cervical IVDD. After weeks of pain with no improvement and seeing other vets I was referred to Dr. MacDonell for treatment. From The moment we arrived at this clinic we felt a level of compassion and priority unlike any other vet I have ever been to. I could literally cry writing this. In only 3 acupuncture treatments my dog went from needing surgery to what seems like her previous puppy like self. It has been absolutely amazing to witness the healing from this therapy. This clinic and doctors will make you feel like you MATTER! Not just a time slot on their appointment board. The front desk and vet techs go above and beyond. Checking you out for services in the room, making sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. Everyone is positive and smiling. I will never go anywhere else again. Dr. MacDonell saved my girls life!!

This used to be a good animal hospital. They have changed so much. I believe the biggest problem is…read morethe owner. He has gotten an attitude as their practice has grown. He can be rude and uncaring. I have also noticed that he seems to prefer dogs over cats. I don't feel like veterinarians should feel this way but it's noticeable. Also, the staff of doctors used to be consistent but then there seemed to be a quick turnover. The new doctors are subpar. I had lost one of my cats who had been a patient there for quite a while and when he passed, I didn't receive a card or anything from the office. Small thing but important for pet owners. A few weeks later my other cat all the sudden couldn't stand on one of her paws and kept falling over so I made a makeshift cast for it to help give it support. I took her to the vets the next day and the vet, I don't remember her name, but she was African American. She asked me if I made that cast and I said yes. She said you did a good job. She then informed me that my cat had Cancer. What? When did this happen? I was of course devastated especially after just losing my other cat just weeks before. She says just take her home. No ideas for care nothing. She hands me the cat back and I say aren't you going to wrap her leg up again to help her stand. She says it doesn't matter anyway. It won't make a difference. I said are you crazy would you not want the doctor to wrap your leg if you couldn't walk? So cold hearted. I was done !!! never went back. Went to another vet ASAP. Also, what kind of vet has poisonous flowers right outside their entrance to the office? Insane! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

We typically have a small animal, like a Guinee Pig or a bunny. Right now, it is an adorable bunny…read morewho loves treats. This is a good location nearby plenty of other stores to combine our shopping needs and pick up some rabbit food, bedding, etc....For some reason, the prices seem to be standard for small animal products, not much variation, so it does not matter where I stop for hay and pellets. This place is fine and typically has all of our put needs in stock.

I scheduled a grooming appointment online for my10 year old Maltipoo, Bear at the Bloomfield…read morelocation. Bear's a rescue, but so well behaved, people often say he's "polite". When I arrived at the grooming salon, a young woman at the desk asked me for proof of his rabies vaccine. She didn't introduce herself or wear a name tag. She walked around the desk, put a lead around Bear's neck, then stooped down and grabbed his tail. She didn't speak to him or even extend her hand for him to sniff. She started pulling hair from his matted tail, saying "this will have to be shaved". She stood quickly and said "I can't groom your dog, he bit me. You'll have to take him somewhere else." I apologized and asked if she was okay, but she had disappeared into the salon. I didn't see the bite occur, or the wound, but I honestly don't believe he ever would have done that, if she had made any attempt whatsoever to be friendly with him. I'm shocked that someone who works with pets daily, could have so little knowledge of animal behavior. Based on this experience, I won't return to the store and certainly do not recommend the grooming service at PetSmart's Bloomfield location. There are so many better options available.
