I was initially told the grooming would take about three hours, but it ended up taking 5 hours--far longer than any other groomer I've used. Typically, my dogs are finished in 2 to 2.5 hours, so this was excessive. The pricing was also disappointing. The base price is $75 per dog, but nearly everything else is an add-on--$5 for teeth brushing, $5 for ear cleaning, $5 for nail grinding. If you want the "works," it's $95 per dog, and given how long they already took, I can only imagine how much longer that would have added. When I expressed my frustration about the long wait, the owner explained that her daughter, who is newer to grooming, was taking her time. While I understand the need for practice, I don't think that should come at the expense of the customer's time, especially without any communication. I had to call after three hours to check in, as no one had reached out to let me know it would take longer. To top it off, I was told my dogs were "difficult"--not aggressive, just difficult. In 13 years of grooming, no one has ever said this. Perhaps an experienced groomer would have been able to handle them more efficiently. Overall, this was a disappointing experience--too long, too expensive, and not handled professionally. If you value your time and want a straightforward grooming experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Called this location to report it and they downplayed it and weren't bothered by it. I'm sure plenty of other dogs got it too as there were over 20 in the same playroom that day. We took our dog here for a meet and greet couple hour play time. Two days later we dropped her off for a full day. Sadly she got kennel cough. Only place should could have gotten it from as she had no other contact with dogs for weeks before. This location looked promising with the large indoor and outdoor play areas (multiple inside). But seeing how the staff reacts to things that occur is pretty bad. If a dog is deemed to be "acting up", they put it in a crate where it can look out at all the other dogs playing around it. Really bad for the dog's mental state. We also saw that when dogs have bathroom accidents indoors, it ends up right on the foam flooring and stays there for a little while until it's cleaned up. No wonder the place smelled like urine going in. Dogtopia seemed highly rated going in and the staff we talked to were very information and friendly, but our one and only experience with our dog in the daycare facilitity was all wrong. Luckily our poor pet recovered relatively quick for a younger dog having kennel cough but she was miserable for the first few days.

What ??? I guess they forget, Dogtopia, you're not the only game in town. Consumers who love their dogs do have options and Dogtopia is not one of them. The owners are dog lovers and protect them even if they have to disappoint customers. ie-window tapping by customers is forbidden, puppy handling is strictly monitored and done is a special area after they explain how to hold pups and once a pup is selected, absolutely no customers are allowed to touch that pup except the family it will be joining. The puppies are taken home at night, which I believe is why my dog is so well adjusted and without phobias. He is clearly a dog who has only known happiness and kindness. When they send the dog home with its new family, they set up an appointment after hours so they can carefully explain dog care without interruptions. We also received a package which included a wellness check at a local vet, an in-home training session/safety check, food supply (same as what he was already eating to avoid digestive issues) and other goodies. The store carries a great selection of high quality items--the clothes are irresistible and I always find something I just have to get!

It was really easy to make an appointment to see a vet and they were able to perform the testing and check up no problems. The vet and assistant were both really great with my cat, kind and friendly. This definitely is not a full service veterinary clinic but it doesn't purport to be and I was told that if anything looked serious to make an appointment at a more equipped facility.

I am happy to have this option for minor medical things that may pop up in the future. It won't replace my regular Vet because what they treat for is limited, and my dog has a lot of medical needs, but it's nice for times when my vet is all booked up.
