Such a fun shop! My husband is a huge Star Wars fan so when I drug him into this chocolate shop, we were both amazed. The owner is so nice and answered all of our questions. I'm usually not a huge truffle fan but these are to die for! Love the nerdy vibe and unique options.

What a unique and fun little shop! So many different themes (Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.) for all of your chocolate needs. So many details in the handmade chocolates. They have truffles available for purchase that are very high quality alongside the themed chocolates. We tried the peanut butter, pomegranate, cookies and cream, and milk chocolate. We all enjoyed them and thought they were great! The peanut butter truffle was so tasty and the peanut butter was so creamy. The cookies and cream one was good too. Everyone who got the pomegranate one said it was amazing (the owner said it was the most popular!) I can't wait to go back and try some new truffles! Definitely check them out!

My personal goal is to visit every single chocolatier in the world, but for now, the focus is on Utah. I had long ago patronized all shops near to me, save Truffle Cottage. I always meant to, but it never quite worked out, and to be honest, I saw all the nerdy chocolates and thought maybe that is all that they were: creatively decorated, but not particularly tasty. Well, shame on me! First off, while they do specialize in all manner of comic-con-y treats, they have a dedicated case of more standard fare too. The woman who assisted me was just about the nicest person ever! As I went down the line of the case making my selections, I mentioned my love of dark chocolate, to which she offered me a sample of their first attempt at bean to bar chocolate! Made with coconut sugar! I felt so special, not to mention it was delicious. I have such respect for chocolatiers that craft their own chocolate in addition to their treats. It will be exciting to see what they create. I was not a fan of their white chocolate, but I don't care for white chocolate, so that doesn't mean much. I loved near everything else, in particular, the cookie dough truffles, and dark chocolate peanut butter, orange, salted caramel, and pomegranate truffles. The dark chocolate they use is mild, but rich, with lingering cocoa-y notes. They will custom make most anything you could imagine; of course one must allow ample time for them to obtain the mold or decorations required. For Valentine's Day, they had those super cute breakable hearts filled with goodies: both a standard cutesy one and a fun naughty adult one. These were super reasonable at around $30. As far as the truffles go, prices range $1.75-$2.00 each for most. You can select your own, or opt for one of their many pre-made boxes, featuring themes like Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Star Trek and loads more. They even have specialty hot chocolate in a variety of flavors. I was absolutely charmed by both the service I received here, and the passion with which their creations are made. You can tell they have a lot of fun, but the chocolates are genuinely delicious on their own.

This hidden gem is the coolest chocolate shop in the world! Their truffles are legit works of art. If you are a geek of any kind, they most likely have a truffle calling your name. We have done a couple events they have put on through downtown Pleasant Grove. The Horcrux Hunt was perfect for all the HP fans. They also make authentic hot cocoa. Coal for Christmas is delicious. Pro tip: get 2 of everything. One to eat and one to cherish forever.

Truffles for my grand daughter's performance today. But cracker sweet.

Wow...what a surprise to find this cute shop right in my neighborhood. My granddaughter was dancing the nutcracker so I thought this would be a perfect gift. They have special shapes and flavors to give your gift a personal flair.

The truffles are so cute! They have anything from Star Wars baby Yoda's to Harry Potter truffles. They're also running a 20% sale on Star Wars items this weekend. They taste good and look cute.

We stumbled upon this awesome shop on our way to the barber two doors down. My son totally geeked out over all of the amazing themed chocolates - D&D, Far Cry, Avatar, Star Wars, Star Trek, Stranger Things, Harry Potter and lots more. I ate an amazing peppermint bark truffle. Also bought a chocolate caramel dipped pretzel and a cookies and cream lump of coal. The owner Jennie is delightful. We will definitely be back!

I have yet to find anything from The Truffle Cottage that I don't LOVE. I've had everything from their Holiday candy to their super geeky convention stuff (think Smore flavor Millenium Falcon) and everything has been delicious. Not only that, the attention to detail in the hand painted designs is ridiculous (in the best possible way). I've also had the opportunity to meet the owner/staff on many occasions and I was very impressed by how much they care about their product and clients. No request is too big or small and they come up with imaginative solutions for every budget. I recently ordered a superhero themed basket for a wedding gift and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The Groom was especially thrilled and they made it work with what I wanted to spend. High quality product in terms of taste and EXCEPTIONALLY executed in terms of aesthetic. Worth every penny and it's especially nice to give custom to a local, woman owned business. I recommend The Truffle Cottage to everyone and anyone who likes chocolate or needs gifts for others.

I discovered The Truffle Cottage while attending a Comic Con in Dallas, TX. I was so disappointed because the Comic Con authorities had told them to pack up since there were conflicting vendors. I had been so excited to stumble across such a creative gift idea! When I arrived home from the event, I hurried and placed my order. Several items I ordered were going to be gifts, including the surprise filled chocolate Death Star, the Serenity ship from Firefly, three chocolate Game of Thrones dragons, and the chocolate Batman symbol. They shipped two-day shipping from Utah to Oklahoma. They packed the chocolates in a silver mailer with a tiny gel pack, within a box. Being a that I have to earn a living and work, I didn't get out to my mailbox as soon as the tracking said "delivered", it was a few hours later. Being a smart person, I know that when chocolates are exposed to heat, they melt. I also know that they were shipped through USPS and we all know those trucks don't have A/C. I didn't expect the beautiful chocolates to be an unrecognizable mess when I opened the package. The gel packs were hot and I could hardy remember what each item was supposed to be. No note, no packing slip, nothing. I contacted the company, who (after a few days finally responded) said they would send replacements and also said when I could expect to receive. Well, I stood outside next to that mail box during the delivery window for three days before emailing The Truffle Cottage again and asked for a tracking number. Nothing. No response. And now I feel cheated because I spent over $50 for tiny chocolate puddles. Tasty puddles, which is why I'm giving two stars...but I can't give those as a gift. My recommendation to the company would be to ship overnight, and to include extra freezer packs to ensure a successful delivery. I would have definitely helped to spread the word and placed additional orders, especially during the holidays but not after that ordeal, and not after such horrific customer service. Lastly... My whole order never came. Unless both chocolate Serenity ships were together in the plastic. But who knows, they are too melted.

    Birthday treats!

The treats from here are as delicious as they are beautiful. I'd been wanting to get some for over a year and never did. But I finally got some for my birthday! They did not disappoint! I didn't eat them immediately because of how pretty they were! My favorite was Link's shield, but everything else was good. The owner is also a sweetheart! I will be a frequent customer!

We asked for coconut cake, vanilla buttercream, lime curd filling, heart-shaped, with an image on top and some written piping. We picked it up and the frosting looked great, but the top isn't what we asked for. We say something; the person working goes in the back and calls someone. She comes back and says they couldn't get the piping to look good, so they decided to print the whole top as an image instead, and if we had questions to email. We were both shocked they made that call without consulting us. We email, say we weren't happy with the look, and that we'd consider it resolved if they refunded the rush fee, which they did. Their reply said they hadn't realized the piping was a hard requirement, and that on short notice they'd made the call to print it with the logo instead, for ease and to stay close to the inspo image. Worth noting: we'd confirmed the piping twice, once in the initial order, and again the weekend before, to make sure it was doable. So why they decided it wasn't important is anyone's guess. I'm of the opinion that using a rush as an excuse only works if you don't charge for the rush. If they can't fulfill a rush order as specified, they shouldn't take it, or they should at least call, at which point I'd have given them several options (including just doing a plain cake) before printing the entire top. It looked extremely cheap. Then came time to actually eat it: embarrassingly, no one at the party finished their slice. Off texture, no coconut flavor, and the lime curd was overwhelming. I do want to highlight that the exterior frosting was really good, but the inside just wasn't. Combined with the unprofessional, cheap-looking top, this was an extremely embarrassing experience for me as the person who coordinated and presented it to the company. They did refund us that $50, so I didn't want to email again, even though we were unhappy with the entire experience. I couldn't in good conscience recommend a custom cake from Alisha's for a future event, though it seems we are an outlier and I know they do better work than this.
