This venue is lovely for a wedding. The ballroom is light and you can see the falls. The kitchen facility worked well. The room for the bride to get ready is on the first floor. It's nice. They have an elevator to the ballroom on the third floor.

As a wedding officiant, I have performed weddings at just about every venue in the Metro area. I can honestly say that The Tumwater Room is one of my favorites. The view of the Willamette Falls can't be beat! The service is friendly and professional. The vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light makes every event look elegant. I've hosted Holiday parties, weddings, retirement parties, elopements, planning committee meetings and networking meetings at this venue. Each event ran smoothly and was enjoyable. There is plenty of parking and a wonderful Museum of the Oregon Territory on the 2nd floor that is open to guests. This place has it all. Even though they welcome outside caters, my favorite has been their in-house company which is Alimenti Catering and also desserts by Cookies, Cupcakes & More. I hope to perform many more weddings there this year. Yesterday's was fantastic!

Yes it's not cheap but if you can afford it, I would say it's worth it! Got the weekend pass and did not camp there so we definitely are looking forward to pickathon every year! This farm's biggest claim to fame is of course the annual Pickathon music festival, which runs the…read morefirst weekend (Thurs-Sun) in August. Very diverse musical menu with over 60 different bands/musicians and DJ's playing usually twice on I think 8 different stages. We attended this last weekend and had a blast. As a ticket to Pickathon allows you to camp in the woods onsite, we set up our tent as we have the last 5 times we've attended. The community that springs up here takes quite a Herculean effort, so they rely heavily on volunteer efforts, which entitles those interested to trade time and effort for a complimentary ticket. Was everything perfect? No. Having so many people walking along trails back and forth from the festival sites to their campsites does kick up some dust. Oh well. I'll bring a kerchief next time. And are there other minor annoying aspects? Of course there are. But by and large Pickathon becomes a magical space if you come prepared (sunscreen, mosquito repellent and a kind attitude) and have realistic expectations about what a music festival/experience is. Oh, Sherry and Scott Pendarvis are wonderful people who also open their farm to weddings and other events. It's a very funky and cute farm with currently 3 horses and lots of ripe blackberries to pick during Pickathon.

Everyone told me I needed a day of coordinator for my wedding so that is why I hired Kaila. That…read morebeing said I do not recommend her at all... if I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I got married in 2024 and I still think about how much I regret hiring her. Writing this review so that someone else doesn't make the same mistake. We should have fired her when she CCd my mother in law on an email to our DJ saying my husband and I would not be signing paperwork at the wedding because we were already married. Still not sure why the DJ needed to know we weren't married. But because of her lack of attention to detail my in laws found out via email that my husband and I were already married before our wedding... She said she couldn't show up to our rehearsal dinner because she had a prior commitment so we had to make accommodations for her to come to our venue and do a walkthrough the day before our rehearsal dinner. So my husband and I had to do the walkthrough with our bridal party without any direction from her which was one of the main reasons we hired her. On the day of the wedding she was never around to help answer questions when I needed her. Every time I turned around she was on her phone or eating. She caused more stress than help and didn't follow direction well at all. Luckily we had a wonderful photographer and videographer who kept us on schedule and who were doing her job even though they shouldn't have had to. I had asked her to fluff my veil once it was time for me to walk down the aisle. She agreed but once I got to the aisle she just stood there and smiled at me and didn't help at all. So the photos I got walking down the aisle were with a jumbled up veil. My last straw was when my husband and I came back from taking photos and I saw her standing there eating a plate of food meanwhile none of our guests had been released to get food so people had started to form a long line and our bridal party and our parents were at the very end of it. She didn't release anyone to get food but made sure she got her plate first. Mind you she also required we bring her a lunch so it's not like she wasn't being fed. We fired her after that. She refunded us half of the bill but I wish I would have trusted my gut and not hired her from the beginning.

Having a seasoned pair of eyes on our timelines, seating arrangements, and vendor orders helped avoid problems we weren't even aware of. During the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, Kaila took charge and lifted the stress of coordinating the wedding so we could focus on each other and those we love. It made all the difference. We highly recommend her!
