I recently had my wedding at Abernethy Center and cannot rave more about this venue. It is absolutely drop dead gorgeous - the grounds are so well kept and stunning. The Abernethy staff is beyond helpful, organized, and professional. They know weddings like the back of their hand and ensure everything is perfect for your wedding day. The things that stood out to me the most were: 1. The beauty of the venue and how well the decor was setup 2. How present I felt all day knowing that Abernethy had taken care of everything for me so that I didn't need to worry at all 3. How well everything flowed - from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner, speeches, dances, etc. 4. The food- people told me numerous times that this was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding, and it was! I truly cannot thank Kassandra & the Abernethy team enough for making our day so special and carefree.

Absolutely amazing! My husband and I were drawn to this venue instantly when we found it in the Oregon Bridal Magazine. We started our search for a venue exactly a year before our expected date and had a list of around five or six places we wanted to visit. We had the best time touring with Karissa and instantly knew this was the place for us. It was the first venue we visited and the last, we didn't even follow up with other venues. They have the most beautiful gardens and amazing staff! All of my guests loved their food and couldn't get enough of the mimosa bar! I would like to personally recognize their day of coordinators/staff! I would have been so frazzled and lost without them. I'm so thankful for the experience Abernethy provided us with, I could never of imagined anything more perfect. They truly go above and beyond!

Let me just start by saying WOW! My husband & I just got married here on 3/29/14 and it was all around an incredible experience! Elizabeth, did a great job on gathering the details that we wanted. She even thought of things that never even crossed my mind! Planning a wedding is tricky and can be overwhelming and we did it in three months! Abernethy was very thoughtful and flexible with our schedule. They offer you a complete list of vendors and I would highly suggest using them. Everyone was very familiar with the space and knew how to work together. This made our entire day flow so smooth. We had a morning ceremony and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding experience! Everyone at Abernethy serves a purpose. Elizabeth hammers out all of the details and is in charge of sales and does a great job. Then, the day of you have a separate wedding coordinator who is making things flow and directing guests. So important on the big day. We had a brunch wedding with eggs Benedict with potatoes and bacon and fresh fruit! The food was so tasty! The guys in the kitchen did such a great job! I'm still getting compliments from our guest regarding the food and drinks! Way to go Abernethy! And who doesn't love a good bellini or mimosa on a Saturday morning?! It seems like everyone wants to get married in the summer time when it is warm and sunny. I was one of those brides too. Getting married in the off season made things so much more enjoyable though! Vendors and Abernethy can be really accommodating! Planning is stressful enough, it was nice not feeling rushed by our vendors. Choosing a photographer that was familiar with the grounds really made for exceptional photo opportunities. We had sun in the morning with beautiful spring foliage that turned out great for pictures, but then we had some stormy rain, and that made for some of the best photo opportunities ever! It is really awesome too seeing downtown Oregon City really make a positive turn around. So many cute little bars and restaurants popping up! Definitely check this place out! Happy planning to all!

When I showed up just after midnight, my entire reservation was canceled without warning. The GM wouldn't help and made me pay out of pocket 7x more than I had paid originally. She just said her "hands were tied" and there's nothing she could do. (As the GM? Nothing you can do?) The hotel itself was a a little rough--our room was never cleaned over the course of our 4-night stay, front desk staff was unhelpful, and basic requests (like an extra blanket) were denied for ridiculous reasons. I will say, I do like the river next to the hotel. The road noise is loud during the day, and drowns the river noise out though. Six years later I returned and was very disappointed with the upkeep on the room. The floors were clean, but sticky, the furniture was gross and stained, and the walls dirty. Every single contact I had with female front desk staff was superiorly negative. The long-haired guy at night was awesome, and very accommodating. But those other ladies, yikes! Whether by phone or in person, they were just nasty to us. As if I was begging for food, or stealing from them. All I wanted to do was check in! Staff alone motivates me to skip this property in the future, not the mention the poor upkeep.

It's fun, social, affordable, and a fantastic way to move your body, no experience necessary. Our instructors, Grant and Madalin, are the real stars of the show. They're warm, energetic, and welcoming to everyone whether you're a total beginner or brushing up your moves. They bring the perfect mix of technical precision and encouragement, making each class feel empowering and enjoyable. First class is FREE, seriously, there's no catch. Just show up, give it a try, and see if you fall in love like we did. No partner? No problem. Just bring yourself (and maybe your dancing shoes though not required). Group and private lessons are available, and the rates are incredibly reasonable. Whether you're curious about ballroom, Latin, or something in between, there's a class that'll get your body moving. You'll warm up quickly once you're dancing anyway. - Not all ceiling fans are operational yet. - Each restroom stall could use its own trash can. - Free street parking is plentiful, which makes coming here even easier. P.Y. Toilet seat covers provided in the women's restroom, small detail, but appreciated. This place is a total gem: uplifting, energizing, and welcoming. One of…read moremy favorites, as a student of history, were the monthly historical walking tours in different neighborhoods throughout West Linn. This first walk in January started at the McLean House and the series just concluded here as well. It is a beautiful venue that I consider to be West Linn's grand house. Sure there are plenty of modern mansions much more extravagant in scale and decor, but this is a beautifully restored and maintained historic home that is a lovely remembrance of times gone by and my city's roots. The home was given to the city by the McLean family after the construction of the Abernethy bridge drastically altered their river view. It is still a lovely location with a park like setting out back featuring a gazebo built by the local Lions Club. The interior has been restored with an eye to matching the original decor as closely as possible. For example, upstairs in the Groom's Room there is a nautical theme and you will see the wallpaper is very close to the original paper still present in the closet. The Bride's Room is the former master suite and my favorite room in the house is the sitting room with fireplace and red couch just off to the side. A close second is the sun room on the main floor downstairs. The original light fixtures are beautiful and there are enough updates to make this a comfortable entertaining venue. It is frequently the location for weddings, reunions and historic events in our city. The next public event on the calendar is the cookie exchange in December. I applaud the Friends of McLean House for doing such a wonderful job maintaining this historic structure and opening it to the public.
