We have been extremely pleased with The Tutoring Center for our oldest son. He was at two other centers before and after years and several thousand dollars we were getting nowhere and fast. As he aged the learning became more difficult and we really needed someone to invest in his future. This is where The Tutoring Center set itself apart. Elizabeth attended many ARD/504 meetings by our side and worked with us and the teachers at his school to get the materials/curriculum necessary for him to be successful. She stayed on top of where he was in the TEAKS for upcoming standardized testing and made sure he was prepared as best as humanly possible. THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW. Lets face it, in this world one bad apple tries to spoil the whole bunch. We live in a world where a bad review causes us to avoid a product at all costs. I can personally tell you I have MANY friends that bring their children to The Tutoring Center and it is a legitimate aid to producing productive children. But please remember, just like the teachers in the classroom, the tutors are not miracle workers. If you do not do your part then you are failing your child. Elizabeth is a very sincere, honest, and caring person who is passionate about helping children achieve to their individual potential. She has spent her entire career in this pursuit both in public school systems and most recently in a private business, The Tutoring Center.To attempt to diminish her character is dishonest and does a disservice to those who would seek help for their children with her at The Tutoring Center. Children have different levels of potential for achievement. And perhaps some cannot or will not respond positively to tutoring. That does not necessarily relate to the quality of the tutoring nor does it necessarily mean that the child has a diminished capacity for learning. It is important for parents to be realistic about their child's ability, personal behavior, and interests in all aspects, but especially as it relates to the academic setting. As a child care professional myself, I would highly recommend The Tutoring Center for your child's academic improvement. I was so impressed walking in at how clean, neat and organized this place is. The owner (a former teacher) was there to greet us and made us feel so welcome. She offered free diagnostic testing when I walked in. We were given a binder for us to keep with her scores and a tutoring plan that is recommended to get your child to where they need to be. Never once in the first 3 visits was I asked for my credit card. The owner meets directly with your child's teacher in the classroom and Communicates regularly to ensure progress is being made. I was worried after being so impressed that I wouldn't be able to afford it. I have checked several other centers so I know this place is a lot less than the other big names. The real test was how my 6 year old daughter would like the place. Not only did my daughter love it, but she looks forward to it. Her favorite part is that she is able to earn at cash to use at the toy store. If you are considering stopping by, don't hesitate. I am kicking myself For not bringing my daughter sooner! read more

Our grandson has been attending the tutoring center for a year now. As a former teacher myself I am so impressed with the quality of work that has been done with our grandson. I was concerned that he might resent having to go to tutoring after school but he loves it. The caring and kindness shown to the children is easy to observe and they all seem happy to be there. The director has been most accommodating when we have had to make schedule changes. We have always been able to make up missed sessions at no extra charge. (not the case in all places) I can't say enough good things about the tutoring center and recommend it to anyone looking for extra help and encouragement with school work for their children. read more

Elizabeth is the best, most kind and caring person you can meet. It is not about the money her it about helping children succeed. She goes the extra mile to help each child. She took time out of her day to meet me at my child's school to discuss option for my child. You couldn't ask for a better person to teach your child. I have been nothing but impressed at the professional atmosphere at The Tutoring Center. I do not worry about my child's safety and the attention he will receive when I drop him for his sessions. I know that he is in good hands with Elizabeth and her staff. I appreciate the rules she has in place for safety and well-being. We signed our daughter up 2 months into her 5th grade year because she was struggling with Math and in jeopardy of making her first bad grade! We have seen a very positive improvements in our daughters skills (reading, math) since she started attending sessions here.
