We started to bring him in November and have seen a huge improvement in his math skills since then. Chris is really patient with the kids and I like that he won't allow them to move to the next level within the program unless they are comprehending what they're currently learning. I've had no issues, and it's been a smooth ride. My child comes twice a week. If you've been thinking about coming in to take their free placement test, I would definitely do it! It helps your child and as a parent, it gives you so much ease to know that your child is comprehending.

I was hesitant in the beginning because of the pricing difference but I'm so glad they went. The kids had a blast and didn't mind having to go to camp at all. My older daughter, 8 at the time, attended the Adventure Camp and they were off campus all summer doing activities, she absolutely loved that she got to do activities without her younger brother! My younger son, who was 6, attended the Activity Camp and he had a blast as well, no tears to go from him. Ms. Claudia and Ms. Laura were such a pleasure to work with and the program itself was amazing. I really like the way they decorate the portables to have a homey feel for the kiddos. I also like how they group the kids by age so that they are around their peers and not all clumped in one room. We are signing up again this year and the kids can't wait to go.

Yet, our kids come home saying they had fun and want to continue. We were stupefied three years ago when the kids came back from TUSD noting that they did not have any homework assigned. We were searching for a solution and came upon Kumon TMP. Immediately at the get-go, we felt comfortable with David as he explained the process. Lin guided our children through the list of topics that seem never ending. For scheduling we chose two sessions and two topics, English and Math. These were in the late afternoon. Parking is plentiful. You'll find many Model Y's parked outside with parents enjoying their free time. Coming out of this past year, our younger child has learned his time tables and improved his handwriting. Our older son gained more confidence in reading and better test scores at school. We've been at Fairmont North Tustin campus for 3 years. All Irvine public schools have health rooms and health staff on campus. Stupid me -- I assumed that at the very least this so-called private school would have such a fundamental facility and staff. But no. Today I found out there's no health office and no sick room where a child can at least lie down for a while until a parent arrives. I'm in shock. What kind of risky, scammy school have I put my child into for the past 3 years? This campus just spent a lot of money on expansion and also raised tuition fees. It's ridiculous to find out that behind all those price increases and fancy upgrades, no one seems to care about students' health -- and none of that money appears to have gone toward improving health support for the kids. No health office. Not even one health staff member. Not even a sick room for students to rest. -- In response to your reply: Thank you for reminding me -- although your non-medical staff determined (since there is no health clerk or school nurse on campus) that "it's better to remain in an upright position in a chair, while ensuring attentive care and comfort," when I arrived, my pale six-year-old child was kneeling on the ground, coloring on a piece of paper and using a wooden bench next to the reception desk as a flat surface. There is no health clerk. The temporary reception teacher was busy with her own duties. I did not see any "assured attentive care and comfort." Instead, I observed teachers who appeared reluctant to be involved, likely because without a designated health staff member, temporarily caring for a sick child simply adds to their already full workload. Where is the "bed" or the "attentive care and comfort" you mentioned? All I saw was a small, cold wooden bench near the reception area, with people walking around. Considering the level of tuition families pay, our children deserve more than this. Three different staff members confirmed to me yesterday that there is no bed available for a sick student. Therefore, the only way I was able to learn that such an option supposedly exists was through a Yelp review. Reality is reality. Parents, please do your research before sending your child to a so-called private school: * Is there a health room or a designated sick resting area -- like those available in Orange County public schools? * Is there a school health clerk available on campus -- as in Orange County public schools? * Do teachers even know whether the so-called "bed for sick students" actually exists? Despite the amount of money families invest in a private school that lacks even fundamental health support, it is worth considering whether the absence of a basic health office or a health clerk could place students at greater risk in certain situations.

I have been coming to this kumon center for the last 4 years. We started because in kindergarten I…read morerealized my child was already behind in reading. The progress was really slow in the beginning but by the end of the school year he had caught up & by first grade he surpassed his peers. He is currently in 3rd grade & reads at a 7th grade reading level & can read 169 words in a minute. Not only does he read well but more importantly he understands/comprehends what he is reading. He switched from reading to math in 2nd grade & he is completing 4th grade math currently. My other son has been doing kumon for 1.5 yrs & just started kindergarten. He took a reading test recently at school & he is already reading at a 1st grade reading level. I think his reading will skyrocket now that he is getting formal instruction in school plus continuing kumon. He is already much more advanced than my first son at the same age because I enrolled him in kumon sooner. I wanted him to be prepared to start school (not like my experience with my first son). Let me say that there is no magic to this system and your results will not come overnight. It takes time, commitment, & patience. Kumon provides structure & accountability for both you & your child. As some have said the staff are young but they are capable of helping your child if they need it. It's like hiring a high school honors kid to tutor your child, but the point of the program is to get your child to the point they don't need so much help. My family has had a great experience with this kumon center. If your child is behind, kumon will get them caught up. If your child is advanced, kumon can challenge them. If you want your child to "get ahead", kumon can do that too!
