Her test scores show that she is 2-3 years above grade level in all subject areas. Test scores are just numbers, but what I really care about is that her confidence both academically and socially has increased. The Tutoring Center gave her that extra boost in early elementary school, so she was never overwhelmed or frustrated by the work at school and therefore could focus on developing a love for learning and a love for all aspects of school. In regards to the tutoring, it is well organized and the initial assessment personalizes the instruction for the needs of your child. The staff are kind and well-trained. Andrew, who oversees the tutoring program, is thorough, organized and helps you understand the whole program that your child is a part of. Flash-forward to present day and my youngest daughter (who is about to enter Kindergarten) just began her first tutoring session. She left the session and said "I wish Ms. Emily could be my teacher forever!" Yes, the program is expensive, but my husband and I have seen what a great investment it was in our oldest daughter's academic future and knew we had to provide the same opportunity and stepping stones to our youngest. As a school counselor, I have seen first-hand that early confidence in academics fosters positive feelings about school and learning, whereas, a lack of confidence and academic frustrations lead to negative feelings. My kids are young, but like school and I want to foster that now, while I still can. Best Brains immediately tests the kids to see about where they are academically, then give you books to take home and practice every night. Once per week they meet in very small groups and help the student with chosen subjects (in our case we are doing both English and Math). If you actually do the books each night, it is about 15 minutes or work per subject. BB pays off completed work with brain bucks, which the kids can use in the little store. The test results are still forthcoming. The public school decided not to test my son this year (?!?!?!) for reading so I guess we have to wait a while to see the end result. I'm not all for standardized tests, but that is a long subject for a different forum. Bottom line is my kids seem to enjoy it and it is extra practice that the school isn't eager to provide.

At that time, he didn't even know all his upper case letters. In 1 year and 8 months, he is now able to read at a Senior Reader level. By Feb 2018, I added on their Math class. Now, he is able to add and subtract, count in 2s/5s/10s, tell time, understand patterns and bar graphs (his favorite). And to think, he hasn't even started Kindergarten yet! I think, what makes Best Brains work is having fun and engaging homework. It is never redundant and boring. Also, the staff is AMAZING! My son started when he was 3, and his attention span was not the greatest. The staff work well with him and is very patient with him during the entire hour that he is at class. They were actively engaged with my son, teaching academics, social skills, and daily arts and crafts just to name a few. Communication was fantastic and we always knew what was going on with regular updates on Remind and monthly newsletters. At the end of the year, we received a packet of materials for continued learning over the summer, as well as his journal from the year, full of wonderful, thoughtful feedback and documentation. Mrs. Stacy and her staff really went above and beyond! Our only regret was not signing him up sooner. Thank you for everything!

Being able to trust the people caring for your baby is essential, and we definitely trust active learning. Everyone is friendly and professional and the daycare center is always clean. The main door is secured from the outside and the owner is very involved in the day-to-day activities, so we are confident in the safety of our child. We also get an activity sheet every day that explains when our child ate/slept etc. and what the day looked like so it's nice to review that each evening.
